I love pocahontas and mulan they taught me as a kid that just bc I'm a girl doesnt mean i can't b strong. I remember singing along to every song in the movies as a kid especially colors of the wind and reflection. Reflection hit really hard for me since I'm in a wheelchair and most ppl made assumptions based on my physical appearance and didnt really pay attention to what i actually could do. Colors of the wind had a similar effect but in a more positive way and that song actually got me noticed by my now friends who heard me singing it and liked the movie as kids. All the princesses looked beautiful in the end and u did a better job than i ever could i struggle with making faces so much lol
The Princess and the Frog is my favorite example of what happens when race is changed in a story in the absolute best way!! The way Tiana’s life is set against the backdrop of 1920’s New Orleans makes all the details slide neatly into place without taking away from the original story in any way. She’s held a special place in my heart (along with Ray the Firefly) since the movie came out and I’m glad to see her focused right here in the forefront where she belongs!
I've got two..... 1st Amonute aka pocahontas 2nd Mulan Watched these two growing up wasn't to bothered about the rest The real story of amonute is so tragic I will be going to England too respect my native Queen and give her real name back too her so she can be respected the right way xxxx
@ShiningAndStarstruck I agree with that idea. because i’ve heard the original story of pocahontas. just the idea of her being all friendly with the english people didn’t sit right with me. which is why I say i’m not a huge fan of the movie
Ppl are more upset that the movie is based on a historical character but the events aren’t even accurate in all fairness Anastasia is more accurate than Pocahontas….
