    explanation for the solution of scattered particle in this is quite contradictory as in case of partial wave analysis(PWA). Here we are considering potential whereas in PWA we put V=0. explain plz.

      I feel he is right when considering incoming particle, we assume that its at infinity where it cannot experience any impact of the target potential, so it moves its way Un deviated, however, at the scattering point we consider that now it is experiencing some potential as the distance of separation approaches Zero, we take it into account the Potential energy together with the K.E . I stand to be corrected
