I am *so* happy and rejoiced to see that this truck still survives to this day. I thought surely it would have been junked after the show went off the air,and the short-lived Sanford TV series. I'm just happy to see it still around... This surely made my day hahaha.
I am African English is my second language ,this is by far the most briliant and hilarious sitcom i have ever watched. The jeffersons also one of the best.
Glad to see this piece of American television history wasn’t destroyed after the series ended. What a great show. Thanks for the laughs to everyone on Sanford and Son 👍❤️
I know that old "stove bolt 6" wasn't like that when Fred had it lol. And just think...Lamont and Julio took the truck on a trip to Tijuana one time. They had guts!
Don't have any relatives by that name that I know of. Looks like someone swapped engines in this case. The truck has no V8 symbol above the grill. So it must have a I6 from the factory. 226 I6 flathead Ford discontinued production of the H-series engine with the 1951 model year. 215 A completely new OHV I-6 was offered for the 1952-53 F-series truck. It displaced 215 cu in (3.5 L) and produced 101 hp (75 kW). It was also used in the 1952-53 Ford full-sized cars.
Awesome. Love it love it love it. Driving in Houston one day this guy had an exact replica of this truck on the back of his truck on a trailer. When I saw it I didn't snap at first, then I took a second look and was in wow. Caught up to the guy and gave him the thumbs up, he just smiled and gave me the thumbs up back and was on his way. Hwy 59 in Houston in between Richmond and Sugarland...
Looking at Sanford's Old Truck brings back memories of that TV show Ha ha ha Thank God that's in Original condition,I hope that Blue Line Classics never sells that Truck at all because that Truck is too sentimental & priceless You know Fred G Sanford Dummy!
Looking better than it did on ebay a few years ago. Wonder why they hopped up the 6cylineder>? Looks like a weber carb and header added to it. Always liked this truck as a kid
I remember seeing this truck parked in the front yard of a home in Las Vegas. It looked like junk back then. That truck has had one hell of a journey from Toy productions all the way to here. Nice work everyone involved.
Pretty neat , As much a part of the cast as Foxx or Wilson . Are those Retread Tire's ? As the truck tires were often a plot of the show . And who owned the truck at the time of the filming of the series ?
I’ve seen a video, similar to this, of the original truck. That video showed signatures of cast members on the dashboard in the cab. Was that a different truck?
BlueLine Classics did you upgrade the truc ? or did that motor for instance already was in the car on the show. If you did, you did a great job keeping it as original as possible but with the standards from nowadays. Wow would i like to own such a nice car...great job great|||
Hardly any body knew about junkin back then.after watching an episode I went out to pile of junk on garbage day found pens and pencils in bag in the 70s still junkin to day.
I noticed that the engine has been rebuild. . Looks very clean. .. so how many miles would you say this truck has .now that it's been slightly restored?
David Castaneda It has about 88K on it, but we rebuilt the motor a few years ago. Check out this video facebook.com/BlueLineClassics/videos/866612596806809/
@@BlueLineClassics that would most certainly keep that icon safe from the elements. It would be like another classic icon Archie Bunker's chair, preserved for all to see.
It's all original on the outside, but that motor is sweet! The only thing missing is the two dummy drivers!! Lamont on Sanford & Son, and Rollo on Sanford!!!
My dad had one just like it, it was even the same color. He sold it to our next door neighbor, then just WEEKS later after that, Sanford and Son debuted on TV. My mom and I shouted, POP YOUR OLD TRUCK IS ON TV!😂
Halfway through it I finally see "FORD", that's all I wanted to know and then I see it in the title. Gas tank and radiator look like they aren't original ?
That rear fender needs to be straightened out...that was not even in the final episode of the sanford 81 revival...the previous owner must have did it.
im almost 100% positive that the True original truck from the Sanford and Son show is in Argos In. owned by the auto salvage yard Dimmits Auto Salvage by none other than the Legend himself Don Dimmitt.
Jeramy Bogue You're right, it WAS owned by Dimmitt's Salvage in Argos IN. We bought it from them in 2014. Don passed away some years ago. This is the actual one and only real deal.
well im sorry to hear about the passing of Don. he was a friend of my Grandfather Don Bogue. i remember playing all over this truck as a kid. my Grandfather owned Bogues and Sons Northside Glass Shop for 48+ years and done alot of glass work for Don Dimmit. i remember sitting behind the wheel pretending to be driving humming the tune to the show. Glad to know the truck lives on. id like to take my children to go see the truck someday if i could.
Jeramy Bogue we'd love to have you! Anytime you're in the area, look us up and give us a call. We do a lot of shows with the truck, it's always a big hit!
BlueLineClassics glad to see the truck is still around!! looking at the dash of the truck... all metal! no padded dash in those days.. hehe... I don't see any switches for the heater control... don't tell me the truck has no heat in it to use it during the winter!! inside looks small in the cab... one thing I can't figure out, one episode that Fred takes his records, u see him, bubba & Lamont in there... on the TV show it looks wide on the outside... but your video looks crammed in there... nice video that u had to motor rebuilt , but body still looks the same from the show.. :) good thing about that pickup, gas tank is easy to replace! won't rust out unlike most on the outside under the frame...
BlueLineClassics I just read that after looking this truck up on the internet. I had no idea till then that this truck made its way to Indiana! I live near Terre Haute. I just saved a 1952 Ford F6 from the cutting torch, it has a flathead 6. I bought a Studebaker truck off Ebay last year that a guy from Alliance, Ohio had, he got it from the Ron Hackenberger auction. I have a Facebook group called Antique trucks farm and road, if you want to send a request, i would be happy to have you join up!
That truck is kinda jacked up if it's the original. The engine is wrong (should be a flathead 6), and all prettied up like it is doesn't do the feel of Sanford and Son right at all. And that ridiculous big ass aluminum radiator as about as appropriate as tits on a bull. New wood bed kit out of place too. Damn....I hope it's just a sad fake and not the real one.
I am *so* happy and rejoiced to see that this truck still survives to this day. I thought surely it would have been junked after the show went off the air,and the short-lived Sanford TV series. I'm just happy to see it still around... This surely made my day hahaha.

BlueLine Classics paid top dollar for it thats for sure.
They found a way to preserve it.😊

No. It's Lamont Sanford.

You sure wouldn't want to take a truck like that to Mexico now for sure! A quick way to wind up in trouble or dead if you break down.
Stove bolt 6 is Chevy. 215 ford ohv in 1952.
donald gibbs wasn't the 6 a flathead in 51 ? I know a Madelyn Gibbs maybe relative ?😎

Very popular old Ford truck in its own right!
Looks like a transplanted 223 cu in six, I had a '58 F100 with that engine.
Quincy Jones made this theme song in like 15 minutes or something like that!! Classic! 🤣🤣🤣
I expect Fred to walk up and ask what you are doing with his truck?

You wouldn’t happen to have a picture of it in Vegas, would you? We have a copy of the Vegas title when it was titled in Vegas, but no pictures.
