Not only could the other fireworks have gone off, it could've been one of the exploding aerial firework that would've blown out the whole room and deafen him.

That would be extremely unlikely. The sparks created by those fireworks disintegrate almost instantly, so they wouldn't catch anything on fire. Also, the other fireworks are packaged, so the packaging would take a steady flame to catch on fire. And the kind of fireworks that shoot up and explode were illegal in Ohio until 3 days before this happened, so the chances that he had one were very unlikely.
