    If it possible the contract should offer big money based on hitting certain goals - like game played. Love to keep him - he has all sorts of nasty and loves to maul. Keep him

      This contract would have to lower on guarantee money have hella bonus structure if he balls out this year if we are going to keep him.
      There is the tag if we want to be sure.

    In his game against the Packers end of year he was getting handled. I’ve cooled off on Teven after injury after injury

    Kap, they have 37 wins. That’s 44 from getting to 81 to be .500. With 84 to play. They would have to play .520 the rest of the year to break even. It’s not impossible but improbable. Factor in the Hoyer effect, they won’t do anything to help this team (hello, Miles Mastrobuoni??) Makes it very improbable. 🐻⬇️ !!!

    If Kev can stay Healthy though out this season then i can see next year the bear's can resign him to a new contract

    tev is interesting, sadly people just seem unable to get over that first year, he had a known back issue coming into the draft that may or may not have needed surgery. me personally I knew it was coming and wasn't surprised when the news came down in camp. Tev is a physical mauler, that playstyle comes with drawbacks and injuries are the cost of doing business sadly. That however is true for most Oline positions ie another favorite of mine Trent Williams love him but the man hasn't played a full season in over a decade and even when in games dealt with nagging injuries to his thumb , ankle etc., that didn't stop him from pulling down 20 mill a year. I do find it slightly hilarious that some people outside of this group are raging on tev but want conner williams. Now don't get me wrong I like williams but it's kinda the pot calling the kettle black in terms of their respective injury rapp sheet.

    Let them test the waters in free agency and see if Poles can match or do better.

      He would cry about Tribisly/Mahomes but recover seeing Justin Fields running like Devin Hester.

    I totally agree about Davis. They will not both be here in 2025. Unless the improbable happens and they both start all 17 weeks and we are 13 and 4 and headed to the NFC championship. It would be a coop to get an incentive leaden contract extension done early but don't see it happening.

    I’d keep Tev. Move him to RG since him and Darnell played well next to each other. Dump Nate Davis and save $$.

    I hope and pray to God that Tevin stays healthy and gets paid. He is a beast when he’s healthy. He’s the nastiest lineman we’ve had since Olin Kruetz. 🐻⬇️

  • @williambuzan463
    @williambuzan463 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

    All players are getting paid more and more. Jenkins will have to play injury free at the level we know he is capable of to get a good contract. It should be very team friendly with an out in the case that his injury history continues at any point. Jenkins is a damn good player when he is on the field.
    Bear Down!!

    Tev knows it is make or break this season and he is really focused on keeping his body healthy. Really want Tevin to be a not just a long term Bear, but a leader on the O line. Nate can skate, see ya.

    Get rid of Nate Davis

  • @flattailbob
    @flattailbob 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    To be fully transparent I’m a ok state fan and really like Jenkins. I still remember his coming to the defense of Fields on a late hit and the Bears fellow lineman getting in his face about it. Tevin’s attitude and playing ability has been one of the best for the Bears. Pace and Nagy abused him his rookie year trying to make him play despite his back injury to save face. That said he has had availability issues. And even with that he’s been a better player than Davis. So if he’d sign a team friendly two year deal then see what happens I’d be all for it.

  • @ricelaker
    @ricelaker 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    This year will tell the tale. He plays well when he is healthy but if he can't come to work then he can't get paid. I would not pay him yet. If all these new players play well in the skill positions then Poles should be able to concentrate some resources on the O Line finally. Go out and get some quality proven linemen.

    I like listening to discussions like these that talk about how to improve the Bears. I’m tired of just hearing about the same old problems. I think the Bears have the potential to be successful, but we need to make some changes and get some lucky breaks. I’m hopeful that we can make some minor tweaks and sign some players to good contracts. If we do that, we’ll be set for a while and won’t have to worry so much about plugging holes to keep the ship afloat.

    I love Tev, Honestly Poles is a beast, I feel that Poles won't pay anyone... We're going to build from the draft. Unless its a budget signing like Cole K

    The only issue is availability. Pass blocking check, run blocking check, domination at the line check. He literally checks every other box.

    It's sure is a big question about Kevin & he has to stay injury free or miss 1 or 2 games. Otherwise his value will drop period! Kevin I hope stays healthy and gets paid so he's here for the winning! GO BEARS AND BEAR DOWN 🐻 ❤❤❤

    I think you tag him or let him walk while drafting a replacement in 2nd or 3rd round. You have to remember him and Ryan Poles were not happy with each other couple summers ago, there were rumors Bears gauged his trade value, even whispers of a trade talk, so I don't expect a team friendly deal or incentive heavy contract by Teven. I just looked up possible free agents in 2025, Zach Martin will be one, I could see him being a Rueben Brown like signing BUT the one name that caught my eye, Center, Creed Humphrey, Kansas City Chiefs and he happens to play Bears position of great need, and he is supposed to be one of top centers in the league. Ryan Poles was in Kansas City when he was drafted and Chiefs CAN'T pay everyone. I would put some money down that if he's a free agent or gets tagged, Bears will make a run at him and he will be 26 next year, prime of his career.
    PS. Certain teams build teams certain way, as long as I can remember, about 30 years now, Chiefs have pretty much always had great guards that usually were some of top earners at the position. Reason the Bears were able to sign John Tait years ago was because Chiefs choose to pay their guards over tackles.

    Love Tevin, he plays like just how you'd want a Bears O Lineman to play, mean, physical, solid, smart but facts are facts, Gotta stay healthy. Can't pay a guy for a whole seasons when he only plays half seasons. I really hope he can play straight through, injury free this year..

    I think Poles will wait and see if Tevin can play a whole season. I like Tevin, but Poles can’t fear releasing unreliable players even if they are talented. Money like that must be wisely spent. Players who can’t play don’t help the cause. 🐻TF⬇️!

    Bro, Teven is still like a big kid... But this is the year he plays a full season and shows up to his potential - All-Pro. 🐻 👇 Good problem for Poles!

    Love the player, big injury history make him risky for a big fall off, missing lots of time. It would have to be structured in a way to protect the team from a bad long term deal.

  • @jusdesireable3224

    Teven if given a contract will be hit so hard on availability, would it even be beneficial to Teven to even consider? And yes he can walk and probably demand a 100mil contract but again how heavy would it be based on availability for the payday he wants.

  • @cbrindle91
    @cbrindle91 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I don't see any team tossing $100+ mil at Tev's feet even if he stays healthy all year. If he stays healthy and performs at a high level all year, I would maybe tag him and see if he can do it again before giving him an extension.

    I’m not paying him big money until he proves he can be on the field for the majority of the season…. If he can’t be that guy then he can take what we give him or look for a better offer.

    Davis got his money he doesn’t need to play no-more I think with his personal problems he is done and doesn’t give a shit about playing anymore that’s what I think. He made enough money he is done
