I remember playing the game back then when parties were still a thing and surprisingly not all of them were bad, like half of them were usually cosplayer hangouts or avatar showcases - not really something innapropriate. Pretty sure it's just the weird players that ruin the game since you can get the sort of clothing style they have in the normal roblox catalog and there are other rp games that are way worse than meepcity
The weird stuff was little is 2017, but gradually rised in 2018-2019 until it boomed in late 2019-2020 and got steady growth until it got thanos snapped

Meepcity used to be game where you raised a meep, make friends, and roleplay. The parties were my favourite ever since because I’ve always loved going to those undertale and video game roleplay parties, meepcity has changed a lot to the point where alex hasn’t done anything to fix the problem or hasn’t talked about it. Meepcity was my favourite game back then, now it isn’t.

I remember back in the day. I used to hop in the game and roleplay at the hospital almost every day. Chaotic roleplay and sometimes drama roleplay. It was a very fun time.
Until one day. I hopped into a server, no one was playing in the hospital. When I asked who want to rp with me. I was ignored. The same goes for about a week or two before I completely moved on as everyone no longer focus on roleplaying.

When i first played meep city there were no oders but i remember everyone was fishing in the pond and i joined in to fish as well and it was fun no online daters.

To him i dont think its that big of an issue because to outsiders roblox is marketed for everyone, yes primarily kids but they have said many times they want to appeal to a more mature audience the "experience" rating system already say as such.
I think its bad that this specific game that kids could potentially join, has nsfw stuff in it yes that is bad, but if an 18+ rating was added or if roblox cracked down on it more there would be no issue.
Im not saying this type of content is good for roblox, not at all there are other places for it, but I am saying that 18+ rating with proper security would give people like these a place to go that id less harmful. As these people will never leave, meep city goes? They move to the next game

I still play this game but back then when there was partys i didnt do inappropriate things just tried to make friendships.but i get why the partys are gone.
I used to love this game, I never played it for the roleplaying features, I SPECIFICALLY AND ONLY PLAYED IT for the go cart racing game, I FREAKIN LOVED IT, until no one wanted to play it, if no one wanted to play it no one was there to race, no one to race means the game wont start, and if the game wont start then I cant play the game, I cant play the game I cry.
This Roblox game is my childhood, I don't like how rude some players are in Meepcity. I play Meepcity a lot.
MeepCity back in 2017 where I first played it, were pretty much alright and my top favourite game in Roblox. But looking into 2019, I started to witness some oders roaming around, but 2020 got even worse. I went to random parties for fun, but when I saw very inappropriate and disgusting stuff similar like this 7:15, I decided to join more parties and they were the same. That was the reason why I decided to quit MeepCity. Now, the game was still critically ruined all the fun by oders, and still remains a huge problem of Roblox.

Meep city has always somehow surprised me by how it's still standing
It's a good hangout area for some, a great avatar customization, and a game for kids to roleplay and make houses, that's probably why.
When you said "take the hazmat suit on" I already sat with my gas mask on plus my brothers gasproof suit on
meepcity was a really good game.. until online daters came along and ruined the game which caused the parties to go, "bye bye!" tbh, not all the parties were bad, such as the cosplay or the roleplay parties. and i have to say, removing the parties didn't really change anything due to the fact that people still try to find bypassed clothes on the game. and after taking away the parties just make 6-10 year olds regret buying the plus gamepass.

Your best bet for role-playing is serious rp games like Submarine RP and Warship RP that are focused on real-life accuracy and to fit in with evreything you gotta be realistic. Trust me, I was part of the Submarine RP community.
