Look at the skill of Ally Macleod at the 4th goal. Finished off nicely by boyhood Hibby Alex McGhee. Great memories.
Great stuff, more classic games like these please.
Celtic fans up to their usual trick back then of getting the game stopped when their teams getting humped.
Maybe they were upset they didn't get a penalty for a blatant kick in the balls
'And some young PEOPLE are running onto the park !' - as a commentator you'd have thought Archie MacPherson would know how to properly describe Celtic fans, christ, it wasn't as if their pitch-invasion tactics was something new to them - it was a FAVOURITE !. Loved McDonald's 'Boof in the plums' - we were in the enclosure that day and when he did that we were expecting a penalty or red-card and when neither happened the place went wild !!
Well, at least the Celtic fans had nothing to feel aggrieved about
I was there....all those years ago !!
Back in the days when we used to beat Celtic at Easter Road
What a player Ally Mcleod was so underrated, work rate not the best but so much skill and could score goals for fun. One of the best Hibs players of all time. 🇳🇬🇳🇬
Wish Hibs could pull together a team like back in these days that would push any of the old firm.
Stein’s last season as hoops boss. Dalglish left the previous season and Pat Stanton and Danny mcgrain became injured and it was all downhill from there for Celtic. Hibs looked great here
Ally mcleod a super player pure class best since edwards
I was at that game, Hibs played well, Aly MacLeod was a very good player. I remember watching the Hibs keeper Mike McDonald boot the late great Tommy Burns in the balls, even as a boy I was thinking ‘holy f k’. I’m sure it was later that month I was taken to Pat Stanton’s Testimonial match: Hibs v Celtic, a few players from the Scotland World Cup 78 squad played in that match.
Hibeeees ❤
liked Jock on the pitch getting his hooligans off. Ggtth
Always nice to beat Celtic
LİKE FROM ELAHAD. COUNTRY AZERBAİJAN. BAKU CİTY. SUPERB VİDEO ENJOYED. MANY THANKS
Nice to see Big Jock dealing with the ruffians
love the goalies kick straight into the happy sacks! lol lol
That's me in the Tammy holding my head and running into Jock Stein with other kids,he wasn't best pleased
Prove it ? There's the footage right there ya fucking tube !
The Hibs keeper should have been sent off. Celtic were utter mince this particular season and the board decided big Jock had to go.
Haha
I think if you looked at assault on the Celtic player and the referre ignoring it and refusing to award a penalty was typical of the many decisions that go against Celtic
🤣🤣🤣
