imo, you can usually tell how old a song is but V's growl. the raspier it is, like this, the earlier it was released and this is hella early, like 2014. also Nico, i'm glad you gave blood to offset you out here choosing violence, rewinding so much while the song is breaking Blaze lol

V with that raspy voice and the J-Hope shout is criminal with earphones. my husband was looking at me and laughing when I took out my earpieces and threw them. I had to have him listen and explain the nuances. V reminds me of an old school rapper. I honestly want to say DMX, Busta Rhymes or Jah Rule but not too sure. BTS says in other songs West Coast for life but this has some straight New York beats and vibes. It is not declarations Fam, just cool shoutouts in Hip-hop that BTS masters so well from tone and placement.
You need to watch and react to Suga’s “So Far Away”. Either version, one’s with Suran and other (later) version with Jin and Jungkook. Different vibes.

This is my favorite song for their Wake Up album (their first Japanese EP in 2014)! I'm so happy y'all reacted to it! I hope the boys perform some of their older b sides in the future because these old songs are so great 😭 The performance is from the Wake Up Tour in 2015 a few months before HYYHpt1 dropped. That tour also birthed the famous I Like It pt2 performances 👀

I second the earlier recommendation, of listening to “Wake Up”, if you haven’t, it has this great beat and a jazz vibe. Same goes for “Wishing On A Star”. I was happy they sang it at Sowoozoo. The piano bit and the beat remind me of Jay-Z and Alicia Keys’s Empire State of Mind. Would love to hear WhatchaGot2Say’s take on these two songs.

The video hasn’t ended yet so you might’ve figured this out be now but this is a Japanese song not Korean (you said it was Korean when talking about Yoongi blending English and Japanese (not Korean) together) you can tell because the lyrics in Japanese are written in the video, and it sounds Japanese (maybe I can tell because I’m learning Korean and so I can just tell by the sound of them singing/rapping that it’s not Korean 😂)

I’ve been here since 2017. I didn’t know about this song until a year or so ago. I thought I’ve heard just about everything from them but I thought wrong. 😭 Like where have I been? 😭 It’s such a good song. 😍 Their Japanese songs hit different! I don’t really know how to explain it further than that. I’m telling you their discography in Korean, Japanese, and the two English songs that are out have their own flare and I love it! 😍😍😍😍😍 You can really tell that they have a genuine love and passion for what they do and I just love how they aren’t scared to experiment with their music either. I never heard this song before either so thanks for bringing it to my attention. As for the camera work, I noticed it didn't show many of the guys who were singing/rapping as they were doing so. It seemed its main focus was to show how BTS interact with the crowd as that seemed to be highlighted the most. Thanks for a great reaction and for keeping the focus on BTS.
