Had no idea Colombia is so cold! Guess that's the perks for good coffee right? Stay safe bro and hope you get to return home soon since the boarders are opening up
Whatever you plan for your future, I hope you get what you want. I truly wish you all the best, whatever your plane are and will be. Sadly, this probably means I won’t get to meet you when I get to Panama. Nevertheless, I will probably visit in the year ahead, because, as of now I have the JB74W Jimny I previously told you about. All said, please continue making your videos as I, as many others, are very fond of them as we are of you.
Great Video! You gave me the motivation to start my own vlog on selling our home in Miami and moving to Colombia! Keep it up dude and keep us new vloggers motivated! Best of luck!
I was wondering about the time you stayed in Panama. I see Trinidad opening up soon, you must be homesick bro. Praying you make it back to Panama safe and sound to continue your good work.
Good morning Rich! I hope and pray that all works out well for you. I am happy and hoping that you will be able to go home to see your family. 🏄🏊🏞️🤾🌎📷🛫
Wowwww... The adventures just keep coming! I never realized Bogota was that elevated... and therefore so coldddd!! Brrr. Stay safe, love you, and thank you for sharing this crazy ride with us. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🤗
Adventure rich I was about to mentioned Costa Rica when you said why LOL sorry about that but its a good thing you could make it an adventure for the time being which is why I love watching your channel. The Covid tests are required anywhere you are traveling to. Thats all over the wprld thank you so much.
I've had more swabs up my nose than my own fingers in the past week! It's not that bad of a sensation though, I thought it would be a lot worse... Thank you so much for enjoying the show! 😅
@@AdventureRich I forgot to mention that you reminded me about the time that my visitors visa ran out in Sao Paulo Brazil and my dad and I had to get out because I could not get it reinstated and that is how I got to know Buenos Aires Argentina a little it was a fun adventure all in all and I have people I know from Colombia but not sure if they are here in Panamá or not.
Love your energy and positivity, Rich. Hope it all pans out well for you. Stay safe! PS: Never knew Bogota was so cold! You just expanded my knowledge!
Colombia is all about the thermal floors. The country is where the Andes is divided in 3 so it has all climates happening all at the same time, from tropical paradise beaches to desert, jungle, London like weather etc. The trick is to choose what do you want to experience and then choose the city that has it, Bogotá is cold and bohemian, Medellin is temperate and easy going, Cartagena is like Florida but with a lot of history forts and a castle, Leticia is all about the Amazon rainforest, Cali is hot and all about dancing and having a blast... And so on from the cowboys of the llanos to the culture packed Bogotá Colombia is quite a place to visit.
Glad that you're still alive and kicking and able to do your thing. You eh play you love an adventure! BTW, I'm holding a J'ouvert costume in Cocoa D for yuh in October. See yuh then!
You mentioned keeping yourself safe from infection, and people were wearing masks, does this mean vaccinations are slow, or low, in Panama and Colombia?
So you couldn't find a flight before July 1st? So you call yourself Adventure Rich? How about trying something I've been thinking about trying for quite some time - a "land crossing" between Panama and Colombia? What you say? What about the incredibly dangerous Darien Gap? Well, what I'm suggesting is not exactly that but would still be incredibly adventurous. Here's my suggestion for some future video - PC to Puerto Obaldia by air (if still flying) or, better yet by BOAT via the San Blas island archipelago, boat from PO to Capurgana, Colombia (leaves daily, costs ~$20? takes ~1hr or to La Miel, Panama and then by foot to Sapzurro or Capurgana if you want to make it a true land crossing), btw a bunch of interesting hikes in that area, then ferry across the bay to Turbo (~3hrs cost ~$50) and then bus or plane to anywhere else in Colombia. The trickiest part would be getting to PO by boat since there is no regularly scheduled service through out the full length of the archipelago (and direct 6-7hr speedboat would be pricey) but that's where the adventure comes in as one can find local boat captains on the islands who will take you with them on their supply runs (for a modest fee of course) but you'll probably need to overnight it in 1-2 Kuna villages along the way.. Okay, I realize these options may not be possible right now given the state of the pandemic un the 2 countries or even practical given your short time line even if it is, but I think it could be a really cool idea to consider for the future when things return back to more normal i really love your videos and would be really interested in seeing what you could do with such a trip as a videographer.
These are EXCELLENT suggestions Steve! Thank you! I do intend to do a bit on the Darien and surrounding areas, but I have a bit of a plan of attack for that later on the year or early next. Making note! You've just expanded my drawing table!
@@AdventureRich This is all in the Yala Province so technically speaking its not a true Darien crossing but just saying its a land crossing given what is widely known about the Darien does make it sound dangerously wild and adventurous (which I'm sure to some extent it still is). For example, even though there's a jungle trail from PO to La Miel (~10km?), it is still strongly discouraged from hiking it. OTOH, the hike over the hill between La Miel Pan. & Sapzurro Col. is entirely safe and takes less than an hour and between Sapzurro and Carpagana another hour and is supposedly quite lovely (there are also some beach and waterfall hikes in that area). Navigating through the lower San Blas (away from all the "day trippers" from Panama City) should also be an incredibly awesome and genuine indigenous experience. Feel free to PM me when you start planning as I've already done quite a bit of research on this area.
Steve Cohen great ideas. I find What AR considers to be “adventure” so very tame. Just about a short hike, and often not even that! Time to up the ante please AR
