Thanks so much for this video! I finally found a video about this new rule that explained it clearly and simply. I don't love the new 10,000 views rule of course, being new to TH-cam and having such a looooong way to go. I was excited about the 1¢ that I had earned so far (seriously) 😂 and it's fun to think you are earning money doing something you are passionate about. So, in that regard, it is actually a bit demotivating but, as long as it's fun, I will keep plugging along. I do think all of us "little guys" who are working hard and playing by the rules should support each other by giving each other some views and some love! By supporting each other we can reach 10,000 in no time! Thanks again!!
I TOTALLY get it! Girl I have watched my adsense account very closely since I started all this! Every penny that showed up got me super happy and exited! I cant imagine not having that first starting out BUT like I said its totally worth it! You will be there before you know it! ALSO, I have found there are OTHER ways of making money with your channel if you do your research! Its NOT all about the money for sure BUT its so FUN to make a few extra bucks doing something so fun and rewarding! My Fav Part by far is seeing all the comments on my Videos, AND getting to know all the wonderful people here from around the world! :) Your channel is GREAT! Yes, that's right. We ALL (every single one of us, new OR old) can benefit from a overall better outside view from the world of TH-cam and the quality of content that can be found here. If someone wants to make a channel I don't see it that big of a problem to have to wait a bit to prove themselves first. And those newer channels that start up just to steal others content to try and make a quick buck will not be able to make it through the application process TH-cam just started. I'm pretty confident that this is a change for the good.

I think this a good ad policy because that would give small youtubers who have more than 10k to 50k lifetime views motivate them continue making better content for their viewers and subscribers. Awesome thing, Great channel. I so Subscribed.

It is a lot of views when your 1st starting out but you get there. The 1st 10,000 views won't really pay much anyway as you know. TH-cam's got a lot of flaws going on right now & in the past. I think you're right on the mark at 10-20 dollars. Not much. They've changed quite a bit in the last several months, not all for the better though. Still, TH-cam is an awesome place! You shouldn't be affected. From what I can see your channel has WAY over 10,000 views. I believe it was over 50,000 GREAT Job on that! You are doing an AMAZING job! If anything this should help you to make MORE revenue since more of the "pie" will be going to those that have worked hard & long to build up to the 10,000 views. I DO feel for those that aren't there yet tho! I hope it only makes them work even harder to make it! :)

I think that its worth the wait and nice to know that once you DO hit the limit you will be getting a bigger piece of the pie for all your hard efforts. Its definatly NOT all about the money anyhow, but it sure can be a nice goal to look forward to knowing that it IS possible to make a bit of money for doing something so FUN and rewarding! :)

SO HAPPY I met the threshold! I'm a little over 1/2 way to the goal for my first TH-cam Check as well. (For anyone who doesn't know you have to reach $100 before they cut a check). I just hope people realize as long as you make good video it wont take you long to get to where you need to be. I dont know about everyone else but It tickles me every time I look at how many "cents" I made for the day! Im pretty exited for that to turn into Dollars a day! Hehe! :)

Just make "REAL" Content, dont pull anything over on anyone, dont steal content to put on your own videos and you WILL succeed alot faster in the long run! PROMISE! Otherwise those that dont wont make it through the approval process and could be shut down. Love what you did with your Fitbit Video. Do more stuff like that! :)

Hello! Honestly you dont get a ton when you first start out! It takes a bit of hard work before you really start getting exited to see how much you made for the day! As for myself I am still pretty new and really just started taking this super seriously a few months ago. I am a little over 1/2 way to the $100 threshold (before TH-cam sends the check! ) I am confident that the other 1/2 will come in a heck of alot faster than the first did! One awesome thing about TH-cam is every single Video you put up continues to make you money even YEARS later! So if you keep piling them on top of each other then eventually you will have lots of videos bringing in revenue instead of only a few. This is why the more/longer you try the more reward you will see! GOODLUCK with your channel!
Life with May There is no "set" amount of money you make from # of veiws or likes, or anything like that. It is different for every single video. I've noticed it mostly has to do with the type of content in specific videos. For example one video could make .20 from 100 views and another could make $20 from 100 views. :) GOODLUCK!
Well I guess it makes sense, TH-cam wants to give it to people who deserve it. Image working hard on a video someone steals it repost it without your knowledge and get mroe views than you. TH-cam should not reward people who steal other people's hard work. I'd be mad if someone took my videos off my channel reposted and got more than me.

i don't understand this because i don't have 10k lifetime views yet but I'm still eligible for monetization i only have 972 views but I'm still making ad revenue????
Hello there! Congrats on your channel doing so well! Being so new and just starting out you are doing GREAT! So if you are under the 10k views you are not currently making ad revenue. You STILL will have Monetization turned on for your channel BUT it wont be active and running. TH-cam said that everything will still look normal (as it did before) on your creator studio dashboard as you were still Monetized but it actually wont be. GOOD FOR YOU tho because as soon as you DO hit the 10k you wont have to go through the application process (I think) since you already have a adsense account approved. So basically ads will just start running again! It wont be LONG! GOODLUCK! THANKS so much for watching! 💜
