Oh wow!!! Really overwhelmed by the response to this video! I seriously wasn’t sure if people would like this kind of thing or not. Thanks for proving me wrong. Keep the comments coming. Might take me a bit to get back to you all :)
Awesome video! Thank you for answering questions and please keep up the great work. I am also following Well Your World. They are a young plant based family. Thanks again.
I love all of your content. And I think your approach is very achievable and realistic. I think you SHOULD coach. Many of us are of a certain age and it really isn't all that appealing to have a 20-something year old vegan who hasn't battled weight issues telling us what to buy, how to eat and rigorous routines in the gym can sound overwhelming. I think you would seem more like a friend helping me out..... For a price 😆 JMO
I appreciate that! To be transparent what do you think is a reasonable half hour rate for such a thing? I'm still wrapping my head around it and need to do a lot more research. I agree with this and thank you for writing :)
@@pbwithjeremy I heard that health coaches make around $100/hr. Or $50 per half hour. I'm not sure if this is accurate, but someone in the health care industry told me this.
I love when you talk about changes you make to recipes. Thank you for that and I really like your family's input. Being new to PB and make those recipes that your family likes.
I also wanted to say that some years ago my sis who was an excellent cook told me not to be afraid of following recipes and that the main thing you do with one is take it, tweak it to your tastebuds, and then make it your own. Since that day I started cooking all sorts of things from recipes and either subbing out or leaving out ingredients altogether. I’m not good at it so I’m always googling about substitutions. I admire your natural ability to sub out ingredients and love to watch your results! I’m from Phoenix, AZ btw
I would definitely love a separate "How you maintain your weight loss" video. I'm 12 lbs away from my goal weight and I'm finding that I'm both losing motivation (one day two weeks ago I just stopped entering data into Cronometer after months of compulsive entering and managing calorie deficits), and I'm also getting anxious about how to maintain the weight loss long term after decades of yo-yoing. Thank you 💚
After losing 40 pounds I've maintained my weight by lifting weights and increasing protein and starch intake. Begin adding more tofu, beans, fruits, nuts, and breads. I also walk and run every other day. I've maintained my weight and increased muscle mass. Building muscles will keep you lean.
Perhaps you could consider offering a coaching service that would include “good habit creation and accountability”. When someone is new to plant based and/or new to working out, frequent check-ins can be very helpful to establish a new routine.
That's a great idea! Instead of coaching I started our Mighty Network - feels more affordable for most and there's a built in support from others as well as myself :)

Yes! Loved the q&a style video! Those are all questions I was wondering about as well but just never thought to ask since I didn’t see any previous q&a’s here. I am a very soon to be 70 year old woman and about 25 years ago dropped 100lbs. Until the isolation of the pandemic I maintained keeping 70 of those pounds off pretty easily and now I’m headed back down in the right direction. Maintenance has always been my downfall and I’ve never achieved it to the degree I want to, it’s a huge struggle, so again yes! I’d definitely be interested in watching you talk about how you maintain your weight! You’re a delightful, warm, and funny guy and I thoroughly enjoy watching you cook for your family!

100% I would be interested in having you as a plant based health coach. I have only been vegan since September, so am still really new to this way of eating. This channel has been so beneficial in many ways to help me on this journey. I don't actually know any vegans personally and none of my family is really on board with my choices (aside from my husband, thankfully), so I have really appreciated these videos, your recipes and reviews, and the interaction you're willing to provide in the comments. I would absolutely be willing to pay money to work with you to make sure I'm balancing out my meals correctly and getting all the nutrients I need, menu planning, and just overall support. After doing the research, I realized how much a plant based lifestyle would help me prevent a lot of diseases that run in my family, including diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol. I want to be here for as long as I can be for my children, so any support I can get to help me achieve my health goals and be here for my kids, I would be totally on board with. Sorry for the long post, but just thanks for providing this content and doing what you do!
Thanks Kari! Sorry for the delayed response. Keep an eye out for anything I post on the health coach front. I'm still figuring that out, but if I'm going forward with it I'll post about it in the new year :)
Great video. I’m glad you decided to do it. There were only 3 PB channels on your list that I follow. I’ll have to explore the others you recommended. I love Plant Based Dads and look forward to your interview with them. Simnet Nutrition is also great. I hope he gets back to you for an interview, when he’s not busy working out, lol. I enjoy Well Your World and Sarah’s Vegan Kitchen, The Vegan Zombie, The Whole Food Plant Based Cooking Show and Chew on Vegan to name a few that you hadn’t.
Great video. Love when you do swaps in cookbooks, find it really helpful. You should totally do something with coaching, people would definitely be interested. 😊 A separate video on weight maintenance would be very helpful.
Loved the video, good to chat. You would be good at coaching, brilliant idea. I love the discussions and cooking other peoples cook books, I do adapt other peoples recipes. Keep up the good work,Liz from South Wales 🏴
I enjoyed this video and I I find your content refreshing. It’s imperfect and honest. Learn lots of tips and just really enjoy it! Meg from Easton, Pennsylvania
One of the reasons I love watching your channel is because you are so rational. You’re absolutely right about making swaps to recipes. It’s improvising and it’s an essential skill. And I agree, the disconnect of non-vegans is mind boggling. This video was SO full of information, thank you! I’ve got a list of other channels I’ll be checking out now. Thank you. Would love a shout out in the future. Valerie from North Carolina.
@@pbwithjeremy I’m fairly new to your channel (6 mos or so?), but I haven’t heard you ramble yet. lol What you have to say may be unscripted, but it’s relevant.
I love this video! It's always nice to understand more where people come from. I work out with TH-camrs as well. I love Yoga with Adrienne and Pahla B Fitness. Pahla has recently stopped making new workout videos, but she has hundreds. Over the last several years, her focus has been helping women over 50 with weight loss. I recently found Juice and Toya as well. I am trying to branch out some more, so I have also tried Reps to the Rhythm, GrowwithJo, IngridFit, and SeniorShape Fitness. I don't do as many these days but did Walk At Home videos for a long time.I like all these because they are accessible. They are easy to modify, both up and down. Most of the workouts I do are between 20 and 30 minutes each. I can do one or two a day without putting on deodorant and going to the gym.
Thanks for taking the time to answer questions. Your videos are always informative. I'm transitioning to plant based eating. I'm at 80 to 90 percent vegan meals. And have gone from around 250 to 220 pounds. I feel great, and the pounds are melting off even though i haven't stepped up my working out much. I sleep better and wake up with more energy to start the day. Thanks again for all your hard work on your videos. Keep going. You are doing great. Coach away. ❤
Long time plant based. Very interesting Jeremy! 68 year old transplant from Alaska to Utah, eating right and working out with strength training/walking to recover from a hip replacement. I also have bad knees so can't do squats and lunges but you tube has given me some good exercises for building my glutes in other ways! My journey, after losing 60+ pounds in 2010, has been one of "tweaking" and staying plant based and encouraged by all the content from plant based folks like Derek and Ami! Glad I found you.
hi there stuff in pineapple is great for knees just saying I love it and eat tons when I can fresh or canned, research BIOTIN if you want, good luck sounds like you are doing great! I have been plant based for about ten years now and loving it.
@@boulderdamcottage4926 I do love pineapple! I was diagnosed with Chondromalacia patella in both knees when I was 14. Not fun, but I've been able to live with it.
Love Simnett too. I also watch Plant Based Dads, High Carb Hannah, Plantiful Kiki, Sweet Potato Soul, Alexandra Andersson, Cheap Lazy Vegan, Andrew Bernard, Sarah’s Vegan Kitchen, Gaz Oakley, Natalie Matthews, Nimai Delgado, Sauce Stache, Fitgreen Mind. 😊
Eek sorry second comment - but re: potential weightloss maintenance video, I think an important question to answer is “how do I know I’m in a maintenance phase” or “how do I know when to stop weightloss” because sometimes we are stuck on a number or just keep going without any breaks which can be a messy situation.
Your personality is spot on to be a coach. I know I could use a support system as I navigate through my relationship with food especially someone who wouldn't be in competition with me as I find some of my support system are
Great information! And I love when you make adaptions b/c that is real life! Woohoo you might be partnering with plant based Dads. Another one of my favorite youtube channels. Have you ever seen Well Your World? I am Sheila from Bloomington, IL
I like that you do swaps. It's realistic. You do a great job explaining that you did a swap, and it could be different than the recipe would taste. If people don't like that, they can move on or try for themselves. Thank you
I think your helping people with their need or want to shift their lifestyle from unhealthy habits to health filled habits is needed. I say follow your bliss , take the risk & Go for it! Keep your intention pure & most of all continue to be you. You have a whole lot of experience that is bursting and necessary to enrich others. Good luck
Thanks for this video. It was very entertaining. You’re lucky that the rest of your family is on board with your way of eating. It is challenging to be plant based when your spouse and everyone you know is not. My hubbie always loves my vegan meals, but he continues to supplement them with animal products. He also brings non-compliant goodies into the house. It takes a lot of willpower not to give in. Sometimes I have it and sometimes I don’t. I’m also a longtime fan of Plant based dads, Simnett nutrition, broccoli mum, wheezy waiter, chef aj…. You’ve given me a lot of good ideas when doing the recipe swaps. Keep doing what you are doing. You provide support for those who need it. Iris from Deerfield Beach, Florida.
Hi Iris! Extremely lucky that our family is (mostly) on board. The kids still dabble in animal bi-products here and there. We've never forced them to be fully plant-based, but lead by example. Just make sure of the reasons WHY you want to do this - keep that close to you and it'll help keep you going in time of temptation. You've got this! So glad we've been helpful to you!
I love watching PBD and Simnett Nutrition with Derick & Crystal. Funny, have been watching Wheezy Waiter for years & think you guys have a similar sense of humor. I enjoy Sweet Simple Vegan, Caitlin Shoemaker, & Sarah’s Vegan Kitchen. I also have a TH-cam obsession with van life & follow many but hands down love Nikki & her dog Camper. Love your content & your adorable family. Your kids are freaking hilarious, they give you so much crap but in the end, I see a loving family sitting down to dinner together. Very heartwarming.
oh my god - your last name WAS WOOLIE! i had a godmother named Norma Wooley who was originally from Winnipeg, and had moved to Washington state. i wonder if there's any relation there!! thanks for all the answers to the burning questions people have about you and your fam, Jeremy
Thank you so much for answering all those questions Jeremy. I think everybody is different, but there is no chance that someone will watch your videos and won´t find something to relate to. You are so genuine and kindhearted and your family is adorable. Watching your videos made my daughter more willing to try new recipes and for that I am really thankful. I work out with hasfit as well and I really love Caroline Girvan´s videos too. If you decide to coach you will do an excellent job for sure 🙂
I love that our channel has inspired your daughter. Warms my heart. I just worked out with Caroline Girvan's this morning! MY LEGS ARE DESTROYED because of it. In a good way :) Thanks for sharing and the kind words!!!!
Mary from Mary's test kitchen: Her voice sounds like the same person who use to narrate the "How It's Made" series to me, anyway. Love your channel, Jeremy and family!
Thanks for a wonderful video. I love when you switch up the recipes you are reviewing. It is more fun to look at something that is suitable for this type of eating than at something that does not fit in. So thanks for that. I am also part of the team that wants a video about maintenance. Have maintained my target weight for over a year, but dribble a few kilos up and down all the time. It seems difficult to stay in the same place. Love from Randi in Denmark
Congrats Randi! Dribbling up and down is absolutely normal. Fluctuation is normal, though I think people assume it's not. I'll get on a video like that soon!
Hi there I am new to your channel and have subbed! Thank you for this, my word of the year has always been OPTIONS for about ten years now ha ha. I first went off the meat, when I retired, because I didn't feel well to be honest. Did that for a few months less meat and dairy, (inflammation!) then went veggie tarian and thought I would starve to death ha ha ha ha I did not, still here, then tried plant based and here I am years later, I have had people tell me that quote You don't know what you are missing! Well my bod and I feel so much better and besides it has been a really fun journey cooking like this and I have many cook books, why, not sure. Don;t use them but thought I really needed them. So I want to thank you for being here, I am happy I found you, now I can watch someone that is way down to earth that cooks and has fun doing so. I will be playing catch up when I can taking notes and more. Your idea of coaching is a good one I think. Years ago while working education in uni or school was encouraged however I feel my feelings are if one has personal experience and knowledge of living the life and accomplishing a lovely goal learning and researching along the way, this THIS is so much better than learning in a school with no personal experience. Whoa long comment ha ha but really glad you did this video so I could get to know you! Good luck, check out The Why Files if you want really fun STELLAR channel so FUN story telling and they have a patron option with many levels, might be something to check out also discord.com, a free place where other like minded folks can chine in 24/7. They also have merh so there you go, just a couple of ideas. BTW they just surpassed 3 million. They post every Thursday evening usually.
Thanks for recommending Why Files - I feel like I'm going to lose a lot of time on that channel! I've thought about doing a discord, but wasn't sure my audience would be over there. I did set up a patreon awhile back, but perhaps need to look at that again for something like this. Thanks!!!
Hey there, Jeremy! This is going to be long. I loved this video. It was like “Up Close and Personal With Jeremy”. Feel free to use that title in future similar videos 😉. I have never disliked any if your content. The variety is nice and it’s fun to watch different types of formats. I fully support the way you modify recipes and state what you are doing and the reason in your review videos. I do exactly the same thing in my kitchen so I think it’s great to know how the recipes come out with the modifications. I never use oil and always reduce the sugar. I have learned about substitutes I haven’t thought of from you such as bananas for oil (I use applesauce) so that’s a good thing to know and I thank you for that. About Woolie’s nickname, I was so curious! I had no idea it’s her name. I thought maybe she likes to wear snuggly woolly clothes, lol! I follow Simmnet Nutrition, Broccoli mum, PB Dads. I do not have a formal exercise regimen, which is my missing link on my health journey. I know if I start I will get into it. I’m 67 years old and need to do it already! I think you would make a great heath coach bc the compassion and respect you have for your guests comes through in your facial expressions during your interviews. You really listen to your guests. I’ve seen many health coaches on TH-cam who have clients so, there are people who will pay for that service. I think you’d be great at it! Looking forward to more PB with J! Thank you! 😀👍👏
I love the Plant Based Dads and also Juice and Toya for work out videos, who you mentioned. For plant based cooking I like Hungry Vegan Mama, Flourishing Miranda, Nikki Vegan, Whole Food Plant Based Cooking Show, Healthy Emmie. Caitlin Shoemaker, Rainbow Plant Life. There are so many good channels to help with this lifestyle.

Loved the video, good to chat. You would be good at coaching, brilliant idea. I love the discussions and cooking other peoples cook books, I do adapt other peoples recipes. Keep up the good work,Liz from South Wales 🏴
Thank you Liz!!!
Love this video. ❤
Thank you!!
I like and watch so many of the same youtubers as you. Must be why I like your channel.
Smart people, you and I :)
I enjoyed this video and I I find your content refreshing. It’s imperfect and honest. Learn lots of tips and just really enjoy it!
Meg from Easton, Pennsylvania
I promise you that I will always be imperfect :)
Loved, loved, LOVED this video! More please. 🥰
You got it!
I love that you are so real. A real Midwestern thing. I'm originally from MN but live in NC now. I enjoyed the video very much.
Thanks! More northern than midwestern, but I'm taking this as a compliment :)
@@pbwithjeremy yes for sure!!
Really enjoyed your video 👍🏼
Thanks so much!
Love the video as always, and thank you for my shoutout 🥳❤!
Of course - thank you for being here!
Thank you Valerie! I've truly touched that people found this video helpful - I was worried it would just seem like me rambling for a long time haha :)
@@pbwithjeremy I’m fairly new to your channel (6 mos or so?), but I haven’t heard you ramble yet. lol What you have to say may be unscripted, but it’s relevant.
Thanks! That’s still a long time! And glad you think so. I’ll “ramble” more often :)
I loved this video please do more
Thanks!
Oh wow! This is so awesome. I'll make sure they get this. Thank you!!!!
Thanks for sharing!
I love all your vids! Keep em coming?
More to come!
Yes,loved this type of video! 💕from Cleveland, Ohio!
Thanks Suzy!
Coach away. ❤
Thank you so much! And congrats!!! I've just started to coach a little. If interested let me know!
I could be interested. How would that work?@@pbwithjeremy
e-mail me at pbwithjeremy@gmail.com and we can discuss :)
Nice list. I know several, especially Simnett Nutrition and Mary's Test Kitchen.
Definitely enjoyed the video. Always like a little insight to behind the scenes so to speak. It’s like the director’s cut version! 😉
Ha. True. Didn't think of it that way!
Love it!
So glad!
I love woolie in the videos and the kids as well.
You've got good taste :)
Glad you found us too! And sounds like you're a hugely inspiring person! Congrats on your journey!!!
@@boulderdamcottage4926 I do love pineapple! I was diagnosed with Chondromalacia patella in both knees when I was 14. Not fun, but I've been able to live with it.
Hi, Jeremy,
This video is also great! You’re very positive and real👏😃😃😃👏👏👏👏
Glad you think so!
Thanks, coaching would be good - give it a go, you have nothing to lose - Go For It All the best
Thank you!
Absolutely love watching your videos. I find them very informative. Keep going.
Awesome, thank you!
I love all the videos you do, especially the cookbook reviews. It’s fun learning more about you all. Keep it coming!!
Thank you! Will do!
Hello I’m Khan-Marie from Australia. I love your down to earth Chanel. Thank you
Thank you!
Yes, I like this kind of video! I hope you do more in the future. Thanks for the video, Jeremy! From Tennessee, USA! 💕
Will do - any questions I can tackle?
Really love this type of video. I do think you'd be a great lifestyle coach.
Thank you!
Love Simnett too. I also watch Plant Based Dads, High Carb Hannah, Plantiful Kiki, Sweet Potato Soul, Alexandra Andersson, Cheap Lazy Vegan, Andrew Bernard, Sarah’s Vegan Kitchen, Gaz Oakley, Natalie Matthews, Nimai Delgado, Sauce Stache, Fitgreen Mind. 😊
This is an awesome list - love so many people on it!
Definitely swaps! I otherwise would have skipped the Oil recipe. So, thank you.
Eek sorry second comment - but re: potential weightloss maintenance video, I think an important question to answer is “how do I know I’m in a maintenance phase” or “how do I know when to stop weightloss” because sometimes we are stuck on a number or just keep going without any breaks which can be a messy situation.
YES - love this idea to add to that video - thank you!
I really appreciate you! Thank you!
You are so welcome! I appreciate you all!
Loved the video. And cant think of a question right now
No rush! come back and add one anytime :)
Hello From Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan !! Love your channel 😍
Thanks Candace!
Your personality is spot on to be a coach. I know I could use a support system as I navigate through my relationship with food especially someone who wouldn't be in competition with me as I find some of my support system are
The only people we compete with is ourselves
Great information! And I love when you make adaptions b/c that is real life! Woohoo you might be partnering with plant based Dads. Another one of my favorite youtube channels. Have you ever seen Well Your World? I am Sheila from Bloomington, IL
Yes - we're going to do a chat later this month (PB Dads)
I like that you do swaps. It's realistic. You do a great job explaining that you did a swap, and it could be different than the recipe would taste. If people don't like that, they can move on or try for themselves. Thank you
Agreed - thank you Jasmine!
You can tell your heart is in this. TY
:) Thank you!
Great video!
thank you!
Good luck
This is lovely - thank you Susan!
Love this vid!
Thx!
Yes, please more Q and A. I think you’d be an awesome health coach.
Thank you martha!
Lift with Cee is a great weightlifting workout!
Thanks for the recommendation!
Thank you 🎉 for being so real
Thank you for being awesome
Thanks for all fo this :) Love Craig @Wheezy :) Thanks for the other recommendations!
I’d love a full video on maintenance.
oh my god - your last name WAS WOOLIE! i had a godmother named Norma Wooley who was originally from Winnipeg, and had moved to Washington state. i wonder if there's any relation there!! thanks for all the answers to the burning questions people have about you and your fam, Jeremy
Oh wow - actually her last name was Woolner
@@pbwithjeremy gotcha - lol
I adore Mary!
Thank you! 😀👍👏
Hey Vi! Thanks so much for sharing all of this!! :) It really means a lot!
@@pbwithjeremy you’re welcome!
Thanks for adding some more to the list!
Jeremy, I enjoyed this video very much! Thanks for sharing more about yourself. I also wanted to say thank you for doing the swaps I appreciate it because I also do swaps when using recipes but seeing you do them with cook books and then testing the outcome is very helpful.
You're super welcome!!!!
