- Tenzin Seldon, Recipient of Rhodes and Truman Scholarship བསྟན་འཛིན་གསལ་སྒྲོན།
A recipient of two of the most prestigious scholarships, Tenzin Seldon was born in Dharamsala, India and had immigrated to the US at an early age. After completing undergraduate studies at Stanford university, she is currently doing her Masters at Oxford. Throughout her studies, Seldon has been engaged with projects outside of school such as Stanford Medical Center for Compassion, President Obama's Interfaith Challenge, and Climate Justice League. Most recently, she finished a stint as a Tibet Corps volunteer with the Central Tibetan Administration in India. Seldon tells VOA that in order to succeed in higher education in the West, engaging with interesting projects outside the classroom is as important as working hard in the classroom.

Hi
It truly inspired me.
We are proud of you.
She is our bhopa bhumo....Tibetan boys n girls study hard...
Hi Tenzin seldon la do continue God bless you.
So proud of you
She is such an inspiration! :)
The thing I don't like about Seldon is that she doesn't contribute or help our Tibetan community at all. Her company kinstep helped thousands of immigrants in America. But she never offered those services to the Tibetan community in the US. While she was a high school/college student, she was active in SFT and volunteered at CTA and other Tibetan-related events/organizations. When she did her Rhodes scholarship application, the entire theme was about her passion for helping Tibet and the leadership roles she took in our community. We all had high hopes and thought she was a highly patriotic Tibetan. But after she got her scholarships, oxford/Stanford degrees, she never got involved in Tibetan community again or contribute/volunteer. Friends of Tibet organization even requested her to join as board member but she didn't reply to them. But when she was in university, she was "president" of Friends of Tibet club at her university despite being the only Tibetan in her University. It seemed like she did everything to use Tibet for her scholarship applications and to gain entrance to top universities. She truly used her Tibetan identity for personal benefits. I am so disappointed in her.
we tib need more like u...
