The Zip tape is pressure activated so you need roll the tape with zip roller.

Zip tape is pressure activated, if they didn't use a roller to press down on the tape, do it before you put siding up.

Don't put silicone on the bottom of the windows! Let the water drain! Beautiful home.

Do not install the window this way shown in the video. There are multiple issues here that are incorrect and go against the manufacturer's installation instructions. Tyvek is cut incorrectly in the opening. Should be an inverted Y cut flat across the top and the tyvek is cut back on the top and layered over the final top window tape. Caulked around three sides and not the bottom. The bottom should not be taped. The tape needs to be rolled or hard carded onto the substrate. The window was not measured for square, that must be done on every window. Initial nails should be installed at the top on each side and then remeasured. You'll never have an issue here because this window is fully covered under a porch, but this is a piss poor install and if you ever have an issue, Anderson will void the warranty.

Great install brother! The attention to detail is phenomenal. My only recommendation for you for next time to use a J-roller for the Zip tape. What made you use the Anderson window 100 series and not the Anderson Fiber-x Black window? Very interested in price as well. --- Marcus from Fayetteville, NC.

Yeah that’s one thing I unfortunately regret is not using the roller but I’m learning as the build progresses. It’s my first actual build so I’m learning so many valuable lessons!! My windows package was $5,200 and I chose Andersen 100s because of the lead time and I think they’re in line for the budget of the house. Some people are waiting 7-8 months for windows. Love the look as well!! Thanks for the comment!!

Niko, Im really enjoying watching this process. What are the meassurements on your front windows? That is the look im going for but im having trouble finding a "twin single hung" like that on andersens website

Don’t forget to show the window installers rolling the zip tape to activate the glue. Great job!

@@NikosPropertyShow Wow, good to know... that's not bad! Renewal by Anderson (Overpriced way of buying windows) quotes me 60K for my 2000sqft house and 12 windows. Of course most of that is just paying for labor and commisions... I will hire someone for a fraction of that

I don't think your window guys know how to read English, because it said to roll the tape ... It said it over and over on every piece.
