I am about to start what will hopefully be a long-lasting sport! I watched 5-6 videos about how to start and this is an excellent guide to what I should be focusing on the first day! Tnx
If you're sailing and staying upwind that's a good thing. If you're talking about pointing too close to the wind you might be over sheeting the sail. This basically just means you've pulled in the sail too much and you've lost all your speed. You can fix this by letting go with the back hand and pushing the sail away. This will spin the board back to pointing across the wind then slowly pull the sail back in to increase the power and gain speed. Hope that helps :)
