@Denise Dalanon - pft changed for online class Step 2 has nothing to do with charleston. It is the running man followed by some variation. Charleston and criss-cross look very similar, since in both the legs "cross in" then "open out". In criss-cross both feet slide in&out on the ground and twisting the ankles is not necessary. In charleston one feet twists on the ground, traditionally (going back to the 1920s) without sliding, and the other twists in the air before crossing in front or back. In Cutting Shapes and similar dances, people tend to use variations of the above by combining them: they twist their ankles during criss-cross or slide the supporting foot in charleston, which makes the moves look even more similar. In this video the "charleston variation" I mentioned is shown in the beginning of steps 3 and 6.
In step 5 tho do they turn with their upper body while doing it?

when u extend the leg which is in the air u go back with the other instead of forward i think the 1st step is wrong cause the other way looks better

A lot of u guys r saying u cant do it because u dont have talent, but and it may be true that some people r just better at things than others, but everyone always has a chance to improve. When i first started dancing i wasnt especially athletic, actually i probably had the lowest endurance in my whole class and im still not very good at memorizing choreography, but u know what i practiced ambitiously and it got to the point where i can also appreciate my own talent. im aiming for a career in dancing, but my point is u cant do something for a day or even a week then assume u cant do it. im cheering for all of u to do it!!!!!!!!

Hey Thanks for the clear video from different camera angles. I am learning to shuffle at age 50. Really enjoying it. Yoga is essential to me, but I don't think I need to workout my bottom half any more than with the fun of dance, anymore. Shuffling takes some energy.
At this age, I'm, now, a little more patient & kind to myself. So... sometimes I have to watch a little bit, get that step down, add the next step. Get it down. When I get all the steps down it's just practice. Again, cheers.

As someone who's already pretty comfortable with the Charleston and running man this video really helped me add some cool new stuff that I've seen in shuffle compilations, though based on the rest of the comments I'd say this video doesn't seem like a great intro to shuffle dance. I was shuffling since I was seven but never knew how to do some basic fancy moves. So I took to youtube and found this! After a few tries, I mastered every move in tutorial 1 and 2! These videos are very very helpful and all my friends are jealous! They used to say "That's not shuffling" "when did you learn that? 1578" But now it's them hopelessly hopping about trying to copy me!

I tried this so many times and finally i mastered this dance kids always ask me on a dance battles but they ended up regrting it they think im so weak and dumb but really im strong in my heart i know i can do it i know how to doo the moonwalk,shuffle,floss, and many more its really my talent and by the way im a boy just using my moms account and im in the 7th grade anyways i know you other people have more talent so dont blame your self if you fail.
