u can also use ozonolyis in part 5 to break double bond and then do H2O/Zn to make -COOH

U r write but you don't have to add zn dust... Because if u add zn dst and water, then u only get hexane-1, 6-dial..
For getting carboxylic a.. Add only H2O after ozonolysis
