Diehard Knicks fan here.
Clearly top 5. He’s # 4 in my opinion behind only Luka, SGA, and Curry. Although Brunson had a better year than Curry not just individually but from a team standpoint, I’ll still give Curry the respect he deserves and keep him in the top 3. But top 5 for JB is not debatable. And he’s arguably a top 12 player in the league.

@@drewp839 I agree, especially the tail end of last season all his percentages dropped significantly. Still, the sample size for either player isn’t great enough for Brunson to supplant Curry but I predict by the end of this season Brunson will firmly be a top 3 point guard.
@@drewp839 Also, one good measure of who is better is this. If we replace Brunson with Curry, do the Knicks’ title odds go up or down. I believe they would go up, at the very least if there’s no change in the odds then we shouldn’t rush to push Brunson ahead of Curry.
@@chrisstfort7 I think they go down, the Steph drop off if bigger than most people think. Likely with Steph last year they lose in the first round
@@drewp839 The high usage and all the injuries to Knicks starters would be too much for last year’s Steph to overcome. And he wouldn’t have gotten them a 2 seed. I’m with you. It’s more so Brunson just needs one more year of being better than Curry to overtake him, I think it’s inevitable. Just like if Ja Morant has an unreal season I won’t be so quick to put him ahead of Brunson because Ja has been up and down.
