And conveniently the ref only turned back as soon as christian had the chair out the ring and was covering kenny. Also kicking out of big moves commonly. He yelled over everyone, and when they tried to correct/inform him, he acted like they were J.R. and he was King and they were arguing. He's all over the place and goes over the crowd noise. He's awful. At least Henry has potential. And Henry is terrible at interviewing. He was better at the little commentary he got to do.

It's like me claiming I'm the WCW champion...
@@jacobrose8401 wdym doesn't exist? I saw the belts, right there on the screen, for several weeks, and this match proves it has a defending lineage. An awesome one at that
The shot of Christian landing that Killswitch on Omega....INSANE

Christian held his nerve, the guy was determined and and didn't lose it and got emotional when he won the gold. I'm rooting for AEW all the way now
I prefer Christian than others

well it's for the impact championship.
I hope Christian wins the AEW championship and turns heel against Punk.
The match was INSTANT CLASSIC!!!
Congrats to Captain Charisma, Christian Cage.
As a peep I can tell you, nothing excites me more than this legend winning titles. He has the IT factor of professional wrestling one that even Shitman of the other company doesn't have.
Do you think these titles mEan something?
@@jacobrose8401 Well belts are given prestige by the matches they're defended in and the credentials of those carrying it. If they don't mean anything you're either telling me this match wasn't awesome or that Christian Cage doesn't have enough cred. I disagree on both

Something about the hour time frame makes it even more exciting in my opinion, kinda goes with the name. And glad Christian won this one. Epic.
Wrestling should never go past 2 hours unles it's a PPV or Special Event.
People are really sleeping on Kenny‘a push right now, he’s been the best champion at selling & all his moves look good.
Yep absolute tremendous wrestler
I really don’t understand the Kenny vs Roman comparison. They are two totally different wrestler.
@@bennyOmega99 💯
@@Hakimi655 Kenny and Seth are more alike.
@@Hakimi655 people are calling him the best just because he finally found his character but Kenny's been doing this for years lol
This was actually a really good finish. Kept Omega strong by kicking out of a couple big moves and needing his attempt to cheat backfiring. He didn't lose to the Killswitch, he lost to the Killswitch *on a chair*. Well played.
@LJ54 AEW fans will keep telling themselves anything
@LJ54 So losing because your head was smashed on a chair is weak then...?
@@crazyli 2 issues. 1. The way the referee was distracted. The ref had his back completely turned to argue with the manager on the apron for a whole minute while kenny low blowed christian, the bucks came and handed him a chair, kenny setting it up and christian hitting his finisher on the chair. And conveniently the ref only turned back as soon as christian had the chair out the ring and was covering kenny. Also kicking out of big moves commonly. While it didnt happen in this match it does happen a lot in aew. Doing that doesnt make the guy kicking out look strong it just makes the move look weak. Because then you just expect anything that isnt literal murder or the finisher to be kicked out of
@@phenomenalprofile7189 The same thing would have happened if Omega hit a move on the chair instead. That's wrestling. The ref always conveniently has his back turned until the spot is finished.
partial agree to the second point. Though no one kicks out of One-Winged Angel still. There are some finishers that get protected, but yeah... in really big matches, you'll see a finisher get kicked out of. This isn't an AEW exclusive thing either. Oldschool WWF had tons of big championship matches where finishers would get kicked out of. Hell, there was a house show once where Big Show kicked out of like 7 Stunners from Austin before finally losing the match.
@@crazyli Or even just drew vs brock lesnar. I can't even remember how many times they each used their finishers before the match actually ends.
Kenny is amazing at selling! also props to christian whos nearly 50 still moves like hes 30
Yeah, that's so sad though. All of the wrestlers we grew up with in the 90s are getting older. One day they'll retire. :(
@@ryuno2097 Cool thing about wrestling done right: even though it'll be sad when those guys leave, about that same time guys like Jungle Boy and Sammy G will be winning championships in matches like this
When you didn’t have to put 7 years of punishment on your body and now you are only wrestling every other or so, it helps.
Never been a fan of Christian but damn this is one hell of a match. That killswitch looks brutal and kenny sold it well.
Don did a good job selling it in the Dynamite promo as well
Cough kenny cough omega
A damn good match
I was there… I haven’t popped like this for a match since End of an Era Hell in a Cell in 2012… absolutely amazing to be apart of this history. Growing up I loved Christian. Glad to see him finally get over. Out. Work. Everyone.
The match told an incredible story: not that Christian Cage can keep up with today's talents in sheer workrate, but that he works by scouting his opponent's tendencies and outsmarting them when it seems they have Christian beat. That's how Christian Out. Works. Everyone. Glad to know too he'll finally have a chance to return to Impact!
Good analysis, I agree
That Veteran Experience
Thats why he's in my top 5
"If you don't know, now you know". What a match! My boy Christian got the W and it feels so good.
This is when Kenny shines. When he's in the ring with CREDIBLE, ACTUAL TALENT.
Definitely gives Kenny a new look. Excellent match, but it was sloppy. They absolutely have to push the young talent like JB and Alestair.
@@thequixoticangler3364 Omega and Aleister are the same age
@@roderick8254 Fair enough. How bout Hobbs? They have a bad habit of burying the young stud talent. You gotta build for the future.
@@thequixoticangler3364 that’s the problem with fans we can have young and older talent. Don’t make it seem like Christian ain’t better than half of these kids STILL. I don’t wanna see flips over and over. It’s always ih young young young and then it’s botches after botches cause they doing too much.
@@atrain8179 Valid points. Cage deserves this run. He's a Pro, but Brian Cage, Will Hobbs, Miro and Jungle Boy are too. I'm so tired of the spot stuff too. I'm not saying bury Christian or other established guys, but the opposite: use him and others to elevate your real, young talent. Hangman as well, give him a few matches with punk and see how fast he blooms.
That killswitch on the chair was so well executed!
I'm glad they made the change and had Christian win. A champion vs champion match at All Out is the right way to give this feud heat after pivoting from Hangman. At least Christian now has some real credibility facing Omega. Bring on Christian vs. Omega II at All Out!
Yeah I was hoping they'd go with the Hangman Page storyline into All Out like everyone thought they would, but he's expecting the birth of his child soon and he obviously wants to be with his wife for it, so this is a great backup plan to go with while he has his time off since Christian Cage is always a credible name to feud with. I figured Christian would get screwed over somehow, but I was pleasantly surprised that they went with the shock value and it honestly adds even more heat to the match at All Out.
@@Colt2OO2 The Great thing is AEW didn't and won't burry Him for wanting to be with his wife. Much Reapect for both partys.
