Parking lot exercises should be the first non-snow riding day of the spring, every year, as a ritual. I've gotten too much practice lifting my G310GS lately. I'm old and weak, so it's a bit of a struggle. I installed Pivot Pegz last week in the latest episode of Farklerama. I was in a hurry and realized the bike was at an iffy angle and I told myself that I wouldn't push too hard to avoid knocking it over. Of course, I was trying to persuade the left Pivot Pegz foot peg into the bracket and there's a torsion spring that ostensibly allows the peg to fold up and then spring back down, but its actual purpose is to push the parts out of alignment when trying to install the new peg. Naturally, I got caught up in trying to persuade the parts, pushed a bit too much, and the bike tipped over away from me. The anger assisted in the lift. My solo ultralight camping in the Daniel Boone National Forest video shows where I dumped the bike riding out of camp. It fell downhill, wedged between two trees, in soft dirt that broke the fall but kept me from dragging the bike out from between the trees and spinning it so I was lifting downhill instead of uphill. Even after removing my camping equipment, I was unable to lift the bike that was leaning downhill. In my video, I showed how I improvised a Spanish windlass to lift the bike. Interesting that you have a KLX 300. I don't need another bike, but I've always ridden small displacement dual sport thumpers since the mid 1970s, and if I was buying one today, it would probably be the KLX 300.
That’s wild! Sounds like quite the adventure I’ll have to check that video out! And yes the KLX 300 is a very good and capable dirt bike. I’m not a hard core rider I just like to have fun so it fits my needs perfectly. But I can see if you wanted to be extreme that bike wouldn’t cut it
I would! I have no real complaint with the bike and honestly I kinda love it. It’s been tons of fun. Good off and on road. I think your going to enjoy it
I did my msf class on the R model, once I save some I'm gonna buy a 2024 g310gs hopefully the GS is just as easy to maneuver at low speeds

What windshield do you have?
Im looking at the 310gs. Would you purchase again?

left turn maybe feels easy because you are right eye dominant. i find left turns easy too
your bike has much more lean on its side stand than my 2018. Have you modified it at all?
Hmm it could be camera angle. And no it’s all stock
that looks like a boat launch , what state are you located in?
It is. Oregon
I'm in Washington
Oh sick! maybe we’ll cross paths sometime
@@advbrain9967 we should make it happen. I'm in Olympia. I have a moto rack to transport the gs anywhere
Absolutely just tell me when we can meet up in camas and maybe ride SR-14 up to the stone henge or just Cruze where ever
I am right-handed, and my left turn is easier, too.
That’s so weird. I wonder why that is?
No idea but oh well. I constantly practice my rights😊
