Zigs are a tactic not to be ignored! Certainly in the colder months and as we move through into spring, the zig approach can score extremely well! They can be tricky to get your head around and work out how to use effectively to begin with; but this short insight film details a few aspects worth considering to get the most from this proven tactic!

Great watch that guys.... keep them coming. My winter fishing thus far has not gone to plan.... with my target lake shut all summer for de silting and re stocking I was really excited to get going again. However the fish had other ideas and as soon as the days got shorter the carp shut up shop..... I've not had one since Sept but really have mastered the art of camping LOL
I like the pellet bander idea 👌
Best way to do it, also ensure that the zig aligners are 'warm' before banding as the rubber can be quite brittle when cold
Great watch! Not many people have much confidence in zigs but i love em, I’ve done really well on zigs during the summer months and also winter and I’m sure when I get my hands on a pot of these bad boys my catch rate will go up 🙌
They are an edge for sure, get it right and they can be devastating!

I think you summed it up, difficult over the last few months especially with the flooding and now the temperatures have plunged! You have to be a mud lover! 😂
Had a pretty descent winter tbf, and to top it off i finally had a fish on the bank on Jan 1st at 2am, obly taken 6yrs of trying. Been wanting a descent zig hook ait since my club has banned all plastic and foam hook baits. This could be a game changer for me. Fingers crosed 👍👍

Was having a good year until I ended up in hospital for a month, now I'm laid up until march recovering from major surgery 😅 soon as consultant gives me the all clear I'll be back out there !

To be honest my winter campaign has not happened, not had a fish on the bank for couple of months now, I’m on a new water so learning still! One plus I have hooked two cats on zigs but lost both 😂! It can only get better 😀, great video keep them coming .

Started off with few hard winter sessions but finished off couple days before Christmas with a blinding 48 hour session 7 carp finished off with a 31.3 happy days

Enjoyed this. So far I’ve been very lucky this winter with a mix of blanks but also some great sessions including a 5 carp session at Bramble mere. Looking forward to trying the zig hookbaits. 🙌🏼

It's good to see Winter Zig fishing, really excited about the née bait.
My son and I have been out a couple of times now, I seem to catch a bigger number but he always gets the biggest lol 2 x 29lb now and 3 x other carp from 20-10lb.

In the early part of winter I have caught one fish per session AKA blank savers!! up to 26lb . Since it’s got a bit colder over Christmas I’ve had some day trips to the river in search of grayling , nice to mix it up sometimes. Now in the new year I’m looking forward to getting back down my club lake, getting on the zigs could be the one. I always have a pot of northerns in my bag and These little beauties look spot on 🎣🎣🎣

Very tough winter for me so far 2 fish throught on the zigs but these new zig hook baits look class lads FairPlay would love to put a tub to the test 😉 tight lines for 2025 lads and great watch as always 🎣🎣
Need to get practising my zig fishing tbh, as I don't really do it. My autumn was great but not been fishing much due to floods and lake closures..... would be great to get my hands on a pot of them to get some practice with 🎉🎉🎉
I had good season at my syndicate water last Friday and Saturday I had 28lb 12oz mirror on a live system wafter topped off with couple of rubber casters. Fish called the fully

Think the weather's played a massive part autumn/winter last/this year, I fish a very tricky club lake, blanked for 6 weeks with the fish not doing what the carp rule book says they should be doing? Finally caught a 22lb common last weekend, not a biggn but to say I was well pleased is an understatement.
Bottom bait with a 3 bait stringer worked, looking forward to the next trip, low expectations but you just never know 🤞😉🎣 Tight Lines All..

Would an adjustable zig not be more beneficial to use as you can change your depth without making a new rig and also you can count what the depth is without using a marker float
In deep water where I'd be fishing a zig longer that 14ft id just an adjustable, but anything below I prefer to use a standard zig
Zigs let me down last year hopefully next year I’ll get a few on them.
Me and my son was fishing at Woodys when you was there last weekend he managed 1 pike and 3 carp the biggest came on New Year’s Day and a new pb mirror at 22lb

Been really struggling
My fishing have been good still getting out went New Year’s Eve till New Year’s Day in the brutal winds had a 28lb common at 11.40 pm on the live system just before the new year so was my last fish of 2024 and had a take at 3am and snagged me on a branch on the island and lost it but got rig etc back out again next week
My fishing was ok had a few good trips but as happens this time of year it’s nose dived on 4 blanks now that’s with being on fish using zigs as well now but keep plodding on .
Hang the rods up till spring but maybe zigs way forward 😂
