    The watering has always been what i hate the most, i solved that problem with a stainless steel automatic animal waterer you hook up to a hose, I dont want nothing to do with those cup and nipple feeders anymore, I have a video up on it, i made a metal stand for it, and its the best.

    You can actually add an extension onto the pvc pipes for the feeders.

    What do you call the square-to-round attachments on the bottom of the feeder? and where do you get them? I cannot find them anywhere. I think they would be essential for keeping the rain out.

    How do you keep your birds from picking out the good stuff and eat all the food you mix?
    I did the mixing once, and they would fling out what they didn't want, and it seemed they weren't getting the right nutrition

      Chickens are pretty good about knowing what they need, naturally. They may pick out seeds or grains because they might need a higher protein content at the time. Mine tend to leave some corn behind, but I’m okay with that. I also let them free range on a pretty regular basis so they can go get bugs and grubs and fresh grass.

    You could build a box on the top of the PVC feeders. Make it hold as much as you want.

  • @dontbanmebrodontbanme5403
    @dontbanmebrodontbanme5403 ปีที่แล้ว

    For your waterer, I'd get rid of the small bucket (the one with the nipples that the chickens drink from) and just replace it with a pvc pipe attached to the chicken wire. There's absolutely no need for it and it's creating work for you. You have to periodically open the valve to fill up the small box and you therefore can't leave for more than a few days. If you only have the rain barrel and the pvc pipe, you never have to do anything. The rain barrel gets filled any time it rains it goes straight to the pvc pipe.

      But if you just raise it up to the same height that they have it at now there is no difference minus the additional tank?

    • @Adksnate

      She said they were too low before and the chickens would kick stuff into the waterer. So she obviously raised them up to prevent this. That doesn’t mean you need another tank. So basically do what don’t ban me said!!

    • @AztecWarrior69
      @AztecWarrior69 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@Adksnate First: you need to learn how to reply to someone. WHO are you talking to? If it is me then use the reply link. Otherwise it looks like you are replying to the OP and what you are saying doesn't make sense if you are replying to them
      Second is you are replying to me then that makes a tiny bit more sense. But why? I was pointing out that the person already mentioned a pipe and it being lower to the ground. That's why I timestamped it. JUST READ my first comment.
      Third: "So basically do what don’t ban me said!!" NO. Why? Because She already did that before "4:58 So basically you didn't pay attention when she mentioned that they already did that." You are like those people who say "communism will work, all the starving or cancelled people is just because it hasn't been done right"
      What part are you not getting about that?
      What's needed to be done is get rid of those BS water cups. They suc for the very reasons she had trouble with them. She should have used horizontal chicken nipples.
      "So basically do what don’t ban me said!!" Again no. All she needs to use the BUCKET (not tank) is put a SIMPLE float valve, at the end of that pipe.
      "So basically do what don’t ban me said!!" Don't be F'in yelling at me!!!! >>>> !!
