SONY TC-K415 deck 3 head, bias deck recording test

Hi! Can you tell my why the deck is rewinding on the left for a short moment when you stop a tape? My TC-K415 does it, too and I thought it was a faulty mechanism. Is this normal? For what purpose? ( watch 5:30 )
