This is exactly how I do my hair…step by step exactly❤ washing in twist and undo and apply my conditioner and twist back up 💕 you have to do what’s best for your hair🙏🏽💕
This is exactly how I wash my hair. I basically twist and retwist my hair. Twist during prepoo with oil the night before and sleep overnight with a shower cap. Untwist for deep conditioner and retwist. And then untwist and retwist when I style just adding my leaving and oil. It sounds like alot but It works for me. I have less tangles and my wash day feels less stressful.
I really love the style you have at the start of the video. It will absolutely be amazing to see how you achieved it as well as more videos with very simple, quick and super easy short-term protective styles
Can you make videos on how you are wearing your hair now that it's shorter? That is biggest challenge for me - how to wear my hair at this length. I generally don't do weaves, wigs or braids with extensions.
I think the more I watch natural hair videos, the more confused I get. I've always believed that a clean scalp is the key to optimal hair growth. But this is proving to not be true, at least for me. My hair gets dirty easily but I always only wash it every two weeks or more. I do my mom's hair as well, but ai always put off her wash days (not intentionally), because my schedule is tight and she doesn't mind much because she's retired and always indoors. My problem is though, her hair is growing so much faster and thicker than mine, and I feel like I "neglect" her hair (again not intentionally). I know I can't expect our hair to grow at the same pace, but she went natural 3yrs after me, her hair was almost as long as mine, now it's like twice my length. It's just so confusing and I almost want to "neglect" mine as well 😂
To be honest, it’s really do what works best for you and watch what helps keep your hair healthy. I’ve found this routine has really helped my hair flourish since I cut it so I’m going to stick to it for now. I’ll always adjust my routine according to what I’m going through at the time. So try & experiment a little and see how your hair reacts. I hope this helps Sibongile.
Wait... so what caused the damaged hair? I just found your videos on washing your hair in twists... is that something you'd recommend still? Or do you think it may have contributed to the damage?
Hi Paula, not at all. Washing my hair in twists has been one of the best things that has happened to my hair. The damage was mostly caused by stress. You can find the full video where I explained it under the playlist hair loss/hair thinning.
Hello my dear@@Igbocurls ! May be you should be more concern about those twists when you wash your hair!!! Yes you were the one i copied the method however then i realized there are some left over conditioner inside the twist which is not good at all!!!! So I unfold one twist and rinse it thoroughly and retwist. After the rinsing I apply a little bit of oil on damp hair and follow with leave in conditioner xyz... Your courage of big chopping your long hair was unbelievably. You go girl💪🏾
@@labelleessa3880 thank you for your point, earlier in my hair journey, I found that, no matter how much I rinse There is always products left, when I unravel it I just wash in sections instead

Hi Lisa!
To be honest, I've been keeping my routine super simple with buns and braids but I'll consider doing one once I take out my braid extensions.
WOW your look so healthy and strong
Thank you Barbara!

I find leaving it twisted doesn’t allow it to rinse properly. I do find holding the hair allows less tangles and rinsing is thorough.
Your hair growth oil video is no longer available...🥺😣

Why are you wearing gloves?
It helps with a number of things. For example, it prevents my nails from breakiing my hair & it prevents my hands from absorbing products.
Why are you using gloves?
it helps with slip, and prevents your nails snagging on hair and cause breakage/damage
