I worked there in the 80s/90s and remember that junkyard and also the Pine St location. Pine and Pitkin was a notorious bodega crack spot. There were numerous homicides stabbing shootings. The brick buildings that are missing bricks were chipped away with firearms. I’m sure you could find remnants. Crackheads from queens,Brooklyn, Long Island would frequent pine/pitkin for it was a few blocks from the Conduit(Belt Parkway). Great video. Brought back memories. Lookup the Fountain Ave races, we had to flood road with fire hydrants to stop the racing. Place changed dramatically 75 Pct Peace

@@robertdipaola3447 lol yeah. I worked midnights over there. The desk officer would get calls from sanitation sept that their route was blocked. So 2 cars would go Don Fountain Ave (vandalia) with lights on. All the spectators would book, everyone else would creep along in traffic because of 300 to 800 cars, bikes gridlocked. Then we would turn 6-10 hydrants full on both sides. Sit for 20 mins, then get coffee come back and leave pumps on 1/4. All the racers were cool. There was never any trouble down there so they were left alone. Peace

Unfortunately, there’s only a couple of things I’ve heard as far as those Gambino crews doing things together. I mean Roy’s crew is like 5 or 6 Charles carneglia’s ... on steroids. Prob better if gottis crew stayed away 😂

Im from Howard Beach Queens and for a few years was head chef at And Then Michaels on Cross Bay Blvd in Howard Beach . I knew Peter Z , probally 100 times ive cooked for him , a very healthy eater and would just walk in the kitchen and look at fish and vegetables with me and decide what he and his company's ( always a beautiful girl ) would like to dine on . Always 100 $ bills stuffed in my hand , just like in movies . Yep It felt awesome at the time , i was fresh out of culinary school and rubbing shoulders with the mob in a beautiful restaurant on the water . Peter was always a gentleman and big tipper as was Ronnie 1 arm who i met around the same time . ( no disrespect there , thats what ppl called Ron ) . One night there was trouble when a couple Mercedes-Benz pulled in and a bunch of mafia types got out.... Well the response was fast and violent and all thoes guys managed to get out with their lives , leaving behind just skin, blood , some ripped clothes and broken glass.
I know this because i helped the bus boy clean it up. True story every word.
