I am a hairstylist in Denver, CO and really love this video! I haven't watched the whole clip, but wanted to chime in on purple/toning shampoos. They are great and can be really helpful! I do like Oplaplex and several other brands. As effective as purple/toning shampoos are, the downside is they can be very drying on the hair. In order for them to do their job, the violet tint should be in the base of a clarifying formula. Hairstylists should never recommend using a clarifying shampoo too regularly. Same goes for purple shampoo. Basically, use as needed (once every week to two weeks). I usually use purple shampoo when my hair is in need of a wash and do two washes with the purple shampoo. The first one I apply and rinse off; the second wash I let sit for a few minutes. Always make sure to use a good conditioner after and the proper leave in conditioner and heat protectant styling products. As a hairstylist, I cannot emphasize enough how important home care is. This doesn't mean spending thousands of dollars. Brush your hair, don't shampoo too often, minimize heat tools, INVEST in GOOD QUALITY heat tools, and don't resort to box dye...Definitely don't use dark brown/black box dye and please don't bleach your hair at home!!
Hi! Thanks for the advice! I have fine hair and looking I to getting professional shampoo. You mentioned Olaplex. What other ones are good options? I’m in Canada, so we have access to the same products
As a hairstylist, what do you think about all the recent issues women have been having with Olaplex regarding sudden damage and breakage? I'm tempted to try Olaplex but worried about the risk. I have never died my hair and I never use any heat, but I have very dry skin and dry hair. I don't have eczema, but I do have some KP on my skin. I am desperately looking for a combination of products to fix my dry and damaged hair. I don't understand what is wrong with my hair since it is just naturally dry and damaged and has always been that way even though I don't color it or use heat.
Most shampoos out there strip the hair from its natural oils and the conditioner tries to fix that problem. The very best shampoos and conditioner for your hair is Morrocco Method brand.

Oh my GOODNESS!!!! I just adore Andrea to death! How could she be so challenging for her assistant, I ask? She makes EVERYTHING so fun, & vibrant - never boring! Seriously - As a viewer, "the assistant" seems to do a great job capturing her boss's quirks & expressions, without going over the top. Very Parisian! Regarding hair products: My only comments would be that today, there are so many unique "game changing" hair products out there, with trial & error, you most certainly can curate your own best products for your unique hair! Goodness - growing up in the 70's - 80's , all we had was HERBAL ESSENCE SHAMPOO & CONDITIONER! The idea of a conditioner was a game changer, that helped tame static electricity (which was just aweful!) Plus - Herbal Essence SMELLED like a garden! It wwas revolutionary! Don't laugh! 😂 Then the electric curling iroen & hair dryer was invented. Before that, either you did rag curlers before bedtime to take out in the morning, or used roller curlers to bed (ouch !) So they invented foam curlers to set your hair in before bed. Oh yea, the other invention a few years later (in the 80's) was the invention of mousse & hair gel. That's it! So today - I have curated about 9 PRODUCTS I use in my hair! It literally cost's a fortune to keep up your hair, not to mention the outrageous cost of going to the Salon for a cut & color!! It's enough to equal a shop girls monthly income! How do they keep up ? Andrea cannot help but leave us feeling buoyant & happy to face all our beauty challenges . Thank You, Andrea , for helping to keep us inspired & knowledgeable , in all things beauty. There is no other like you! You are like a bubbly afternoon cocktail, or a warm lovely coffee in the morning! Thank you for being YOU!!! - Cheryl 💁🏻♀️
Thanks. You summed up my comment in a nutshell. I grew up same era as you & I'm also on product overload. Best product routine is the one we carve out on our own but there are so many great products out there. I love her no nonsense make-up tutorials.
Hello! Following you 4 years long and it’s my luck to explore your channel ❤ I’m so grateful for all your advices! You are the best! I relocated to Canada And now I need new treatment for this freezer and this video soooo in time for me ❤🎉
I've used Kèrastase Blonde Absolu products for years and just finished my first bottle of Fresh Affair Dry Shampoo. I have to say the dry shampoo is the best I've ever tried. I'll definitely be ordering Choma Absolu Soin Acide Chroma Gloss with Coco & Eve shampoo and conditioner today....🙂 Thanks for all your pro tips! You are definitely amazing at what you do. ❤
Through pregnancy we do shreds hair but after a year we recover the hair Shampoos is very individual thing is like facial creams We just need to keep eat healthy dehydrated vitamins And a good hair mask Voila less is Moore 🙃👌💃🏻
I'm Asian and have course, wavy hair. It's damaged from coloring and I have to fight the frizz daily. I already use tha Amika mask but decided to try Bumble and Bumble heat product. I LOVE this stuff. My hair is sooo shiny and soft, finally! Thank you Andrea!! Not to mention uour hair is absolutely gorgeous!! ❤❤❤
Your hair does look shinier! I love when you shared going to your hairstylist!! She did a beautiful job highlighting it. I've been a stylist over 25 years now. Anything Olaplex is amazing except their first conditioner that came out. I believe it's #3. Coco and Eve, I'll have to try. Gorgeous 😍
Oh!! I have been using byredo’s bal d’Afrique hair perfume for last couple of years and that smells really good too. I always get compliments on it:). Just FYI ☺️
I use the Kerastase dry shampoo too. It really is one of the best. If you like that one, you'd like Amica Perk Up dry shampoo. Same result as the Kerastase one.
I recently bought Coco and Eve shampoo and conditioner on a whim, and I am amazed at how much I love these products. They really are different from everything else out there. My hair is shiny, bouncy, and it is stays so fresh!
Dear Andreea, do you use the Kerastase Shining Product as a last step after shampooing or do you apply a conditioner after the Kerastase product as a last step? Thank you! 🫶😘
Kerastase was the first gloss I tried after my stylist used it on me at the salon. I had to have it lol! I use it in place of my mask every other week. You can use it with but I like to rotate my treatments. Hope this helps!🥰 I use all Kevin Murphy products otherwise; shampoo, rinse/conditioner, dry shampoo, treatments & styling products. His plumping line is amazing! The Kerastase gloss is the only product I use that’s not KM.☺️♥️
I am currently in love with Ouai products, they have helped me enormously with my seborrheic eczema and they do not itch one bit. However, I will try the Coco & Eve pre-shampoo for sure. Great video from you and nicely edited by Antonia!
I like Coco & Even hair masks and hair oil. For the oil, I use it as directed from mid-length to the ends. For Kerastase, I will give it a shot, as I have the same thin and colored blond hair as you, to see if it works for me. Also, I like the Ouai hair mask for thin hair and Wow pop and lock, where I use Wow on damp hair before I style it with Dyson air wrap. It's a game-changer because it holds my curls.
Thanks for sharing, I will try some of these. I would like to recommend a hair product that changed my life. My second-day hair has never looked so good: Kérastase Blond Absolu Overnight Recovery Treatment for Lightened Hair. I do not sleep with it, I use first thing int he morning and style as usual. My hair feels fresh, put together and it smells soooo good!
I've got long hair down my back (I'm a guy) and I also use a heat treatment spray (Tony&Guy) as my only styling product. I don't have much of an issue with the top half, but after it's washed the bottom part can look a bit poufy and dry, and a few sprays on the lower half and ends to saturate it and let it air dry really makes it look amazing. I can also give myself nice waves using it by putting it in and letting it air dry, then twisting my hair around and around until it turns into a knot and leaving it secured that way for a while, the wave will stay there for ages. I've found heat treatment spray is a pretty versatile product.
@@TracyD2 The way I use it to tame the ends is to give it a couple of sprays from midway to the ends and comb it through with a very wide tooth comb, a few sprays on either side is enough to saturate it enough, doesn't take much, when it's all evenly damp I then pull it all to one side and over to the front of my shoulder so it's in one lump, rake it all through with my fingers then twist it around and around my fingers in a swirling motion a few times, then let it go gently, it sort of forms a vague loose-looking curl but most importantly it's all together and compact and neat. You then let it air-dry which only takes a few minutes, then rake it through with your fingers. Looks nice for days.
"tried every purple shampoo" is a big claim! Personally the Kerastase purple and the Schwarzkopf professional Good Bye Yellow with bonding do not dry my hair out. The bond builders in the Schwarzkopf are phenomenal
Yes I have been using purple shampoo and conditioners for over 2 years and my 80 year old fine hair looks beautiful and I get compliments every time I go out into the world. Seriously. Those of us who cannot afford these outrageously expensive products can learn to take extra care and attention to making cheaper products work. My fave is the cheapest purple shampoo and conditioner which was discontinued and replaced by a costlier item, I have to seek it out on ebay, and I developed a ritual during Covid. I even learned to cut my own hair. Just in case you are in the Social Security category I post this.
Be very very careful with the olaplex purple shampoo! The bonding complex can make your hair very strong but unflexible, too and in combination with any other hair care product that contains keratine or protein ( which a lot of products do) it leads to breakage, because those ingredients make your hair even harder. So it breaks when you're washing or combing it. I know what I'm talking about because it happened to my hair. I would not recommend any olaplex products at all!
@@missidoleyes that's exactly what I said. I used multiple products together with olaplex. They contained proteins and keratine and together with the bonding complex of olaplex (that stays forever in your hair) it lead to my hair breakage.
Love this video. I have fine hair but not as much as you so that is my challenge. Please share your makeup products in description box even when you’re not talking about it 😊. Thanks Andrea , always love your content ❤
Your hair looks very healthy and shiny, I have tried almost all the products you have mentioned expect coco & Eve, Which I will be ordering to try, however Drunk Elephant just ruined my hair, I started losing my hair and it made it a lot thinner and drier. I just started using Bondi hair products and noticed my hair started growing and a lot more body and volume and looks healthier, even my hair stylist mentioned "you have so much new growth on the scalp all this new baby hair is coming out. I agree with you adding mask to hair once a week makes a huge difference. thanks for the video.
The lower the ph the better, when you bleach your hair the ph goes higher and that´s when all the damage shows up opening your hair cuticles and even preventing the absortion of any treatment. The Chroma Absolut Soin Acide Chroma Gloss is an acidifier that recovers your ph and allows your hair to receive the mask of conditioner benefits. Some people still use white apple cider vinegar for that.
I always wanted to try Coco & Eve products. I use all the Drunk Elephant products for my face but now you have me curious for their hair products. You and your hair are beautiful! ❤
All your videos are so professional and honnest, very nice to see them. I'm french and have a middle english level but I understand everything so it's great 😀 Nice masks also that I can recommand you if you like the coco & eve : - Kerastase : masque extentionniste (turquoise blue) - Leonor greyl : masque jasmin (little quantity enough and smell so sweet) Thank youuu beauty 😘

Andrea, THANK YOU for this video!!!!! I got 4 products you recommended, glad we have them available in Ukraine. And I absolutely 💯 love them. They are fantastic! Kerastase Chroma Absolu. This product has a strong chemical smell but my hair was super smooth and needed no wash for one week. Usually it is every 3 days. Coco and Eve shampoo and hair mask. Wow! Super hair and smell. My hair is natural color, and medium length. Before I used Molton Brown and Oribe shampoo/conditioners. Like them too, but your recommendations are way better)))
I also have very fine and short hair and for a long time I was avoiding hydrating shampoo because I thought it would make my hair oily faster. WRONG! I think the body will just produce even more oil to protect our scalp. I started using the shampoo from Colleen Rothschild. I only use shampoo no conditioner and put hair oil on after showering. My hair can be clean and look nice for 4 days!!! Can't wait to try coco and eve and drunk elephant as well!
LIke you, hair means a lot to me! I can go without make up etc but hair is essential to be absolutely 100%. I shall try some of the products you recommend thank you. I have just started to use Sisley's Hair Ritual products because I wished it for me for Christmas .. hair oil, scalp serum etc so not sure quote yet but the smell is great and hair feels lovely. Their paddle hair brush (expensive perhaps at first) but is the BEST hairbrush I have ever used in my life - I ordered another one as my 15 year old daughter keeps steeling it !☺

Thank you for sharing this. You have beautiful hair. Your hair is fine like mine however, it gets oily on the 2nd day from my scalp and using the wrong products. I am going to try these. I can't wait to try them:)
First of all, my shampoo does not foam up like you mention in your video. Second, I don’t know whether the bottle I received is defective, but it smells like rancid butter. I have contacted the company and hopefully they will replace it.
Gisou oil was too heavy for my very fine hair. Even the little amount made my hair greasy. So I ended up mixing it with my sesame and almond oil and use it once a week for oiling my hair. I leave the oil for few hours and wash it off. They are shine and soft like never before. It's just important to chose appropriate oil for your hair type.

Andreea Ali does not sound Parisian at all. More Gulf State
Thanks. You summed up my comment in a nutshell. I grew up same era as you & I'm also on product overload. Best product routine is the one we carve out on our own but there are so many great products out there. I love her no nonsense make-up tutorials.
Would love an old school grwm when you do your hair and makeup in one (or 2) videos just an FYI 😘
I'll definitely be ordering Choma Absolu Soin Acide Chroma Gloss with Coco & Eve shampoo and conditioner today....🙂
Thanks for all your pro tips! You are definitely amazing at what you do. ❤
I just ordered the Coco and Eve I am so excited -thank you for the recommendation! I apprecaite it.
I want this makeup look! NATURAL & GORGEOUS 🤍
Through pregnancy we do shreds hair but after a year we recover the hair
Shampoos is very individual thing is like facial creams
We just need to keep eat healthy dehydrated vitamins
And a good hair mask Voila less is Moore 🙃👌💃🏻
You really have to try-out the products of
Shu Uemura Ultimate Reset Set. For dry damaged hair love their products.
Oh my lord I just spent over $220 buying your recommendations and I don’t feel nervous about it. I trust your word 10000% thanks girl!
could we get a makeup routine for your look in this video? it’s so natural and gorgeous!
Try the Kiehl’s Sunflower hair mask!!!!! You would fall in love immediately 😍😍!
Olaplex 6 has been a game changer for me. And so has the Sebastian hair silkening spray. Smells so good!
Gorgeous 😍
What do I have to ask my stylist to have this kind of highlights?
wait...everybody love no3 and they say that it is a best olaplex product and you say it is not good? why?
The Coco an Eve hair mask is amazing, it's the only mask I use and I noticed a difference in my hair.
LOL olaplex n.3 is literally the only olaplex product I love and use, plus it's the only silicone-free product in the bunch (apart from n.0) 💜
@@larainejames111 its coco and eve annonline brand only or can I find it in a store?
Thank you for all of the suggestions. Your presence with your assistant is refreshing.
Oh!! I have been using byredo’s bal d’Afrique hair perfume for last couple of years and that smells really good too. I always get compliments on it:). Just FYI ☺️
I will keep that in mind as I am trying to decide which scent to get!
Thank you for this Andrea. I have recently lost my hair due to illness and I’m searching high and low to make a good and progressive new start🥺.
Dear Andreea, do you use the Kerastase Shining Product as a last step after shampooing or do you apply a conditioner after the Kerastase product as a last step?
Thank you! 🫶😘
I use the Kerastase Chroma Absolu gloss & it’s absolutely amazing! It gives me shine like no other. Worth every penny!💯♥️
What else brands did you use before?
Hello Kasey.
Can you tell me about Kerastase CA. Do you out this instead of a mask? Or it can work with both?
Kerastase was the first gloss I tried after my stylist used it on me at the salon. I had to have it lol! I use it in place of my mask every other week. You can use it with but I like to rotate my treatments. Hope this helps!🥰
I use all Kevin Murphy products otherwise; shampoo, rinse/conditioner, dry shampoo, treatments & styling products.
And btw you have STUNNING hair!!
I've watched your previous video about hair. I can't thank you enough for recommending Rene Furterer! It's amazing! Thank you!
My second-day hair has never looked so good: Kérastase
Blond Absolu Overnight Recovery Treatment for Lightened Hair. I do not sleep with it, I use first thing int he morning and style as usual. My hair feels fresh, put together and it smells soooo good!
Woohoo! I look forward each Saturday night to your videos! Thank you ❤️
K-18 has been a wonderful leave in product.😊
Redken toner shampoo also leaves your hair very soft, and smells amazing
Your hair looks gorgeous--and your makeup is wonderful!
Thanks. I’ll keep my eyes out for that spray.
@@bastelkiste2242 olaplex does not have any protein or keratin. It is a bond builder. Your brakage must be from another product.
@@missidoleyes that's exactly what I said. I used multiple products together with olaplex. They contained proteins and keratine and together with the bonding complex of olaplex (that stays forever in your hair) it lead to my hair breakage.
I bought the Amika bond repair, and you recommended it, and I love it!!!! I have also fine hair but a lot of hair!
Love this video. I have fine hair but not as much as you so that is my challenge.
Please share your makeup products in description box even when you’re not talking about it 😊. Thanks Andrea , always love your content ❤
Loved the part of you and your sister joking… so cute!
You look like a model. Love your channel you’re like a big sister.
The last video I wanted was your shade match video with your friend and I was mesmerized by your hair!! Looks beautiful!
I'm french and have a middle english level but I understand everything so it's great 😀
Nice masks also that I can recommand you if you like the coco & eve :
- Kerastase : masque extentionniste (turquoise blue)
- Leonor greyl : masque jasmin (little quantity enough and smell so sweet)
Thank youuu beauty 😘
And : Christophe Robin : aloe vera mask
Thanks for the recommendations ❤ I have fine hair too, and it is so difficult finding good, and weightless, hydrating products.
So glad to have someone with fine, straight hair. I’m going to try some of these suggestions.
@@Tsili-Walela I’ve decided to test the Amika-mask and the Augustine oil. Already use and love Bumble & Bumble pre-styler, Oribe and Kerastase sprays 🙂
I find your videos so calming except for the loud beeping please please consider taking that out. Your hair looks wonderful!
Dear Andrea , i am in my third bottle of coco and eve shampoo, i also have the mask , conditioner and elixir . Totally agree with the products, thank you for your recommentations
Please give us a tutorial on this natural glowy beautiful makeup look ❤ you look stunning 🤩
Your hair looks so beautiful!😍❤
Love your hair and hair care products recommendations 😍
Your makeup looks impeccable.
I love your Honesty! I like the Kerastase Chroma Filler Mask!
I added every single product on my list ! Your hair looks fab 😍
And that’s her goal accomplished. Congratulations on being a sucker
Their paddle hair brush (expensive perhaps at first) but is the BEST hairbrush I have ever used in my life - I ordered another one as my 15 year old daughter keeps steeling it !☺
I wish my hair was that silky straight naturally 😍 I have naturally curly hair.
Your hair is so shiny! Love it.
Love your channel!!!! Hoping you don't over plump the lips. It tends to distort ppl. And you are TOO GORGEOUS.😘
So jealous. Your hair is PERFECT
I love your hair so much! It’s my inspiration. Mine is fine like yours and I have tried some of the products you’ve mentioned and they have helped!
You look beautiful & so does your hair. Thanks for the helpful tips on the products. Really want to try that Kerastase glossing product.😊
*Add to cart: coco and eve*
Also: try products from authentic beauty concept, a great brand with great products, love the hydrating range and the dry shampoo!❤
Where do you purchase this brand? Thank you!
Thanks for posting this, is very helpful, I tried the amika mask from the previous video and is AMAZING 😇
Have you tried the hemisqualane from The Ordinary? It’s really light weight and non greasy, and very cheap.
@@SolElarien Unfortunately where I live The Ordinary is not available, nor the shipping. But thanks for advice, I'll have a look as soon as I get to Europe.
I love your videos!!! Thank you for putting so much time, energy and knowledge into them ❤️
Thanks dearest Andrea for your recommendations! Your hair is stunning by the way! 🤗🤗😘😘
Andreea can you start listing the make up products in your description box that you are wearing in your videos? That blusher is so pretty! I want it loool :)
I also do hair botox at home, it's deep conditioner that you bake into hair with hair straightener, i wish andrea did tutorial on that too. But my hair is super fine & ballayage maybe andrea doesn't need it bc her hair is better than mine.
Thank u Andrea ❤️ i would also like to shout out the Blowout Professor on youtube since his channel transformed my hair.
Absolutely excited about this video! (Just started watching)
Very sceptical to use too many hair products but the Kayali hair mist sounds really great to try out, hope it won't harm the hair?
Will try Kerastase chroma Absolute Soine Acid, I tried the shampoo and it is the best thing I tried on my hair so far. Thanks for sharing 😊
