  • Todd Tuckey shows you a super nice Food Fight! This was the first arcade game to use a 68000 Processor making it capable of doing an "Instant Replay" show toward end of video! Also the first to use a SOLID STATE joystick too! Sadly, very few of these survive--most of them being converted to other games in the late 80's as this game was not popular at the time of release. Gaining a steady following, its a great game to add to your game room!

    Sad to hear that so few of these survived the 80s... Food Fight was my go-to game on those all-too-rare family trips to Showbiz Pizza!

    Food Fight was an awesome game. I played it at the local mini mart back in 1983 quite a bit. One of the General Computer made games I think as payment for their "souped up" version of Missile Command

    New Wave Toys just released a pre order for this game in 1/6 scale and they have a limited edition version that looks exactly like the one in your video with yellow T molding and the custom side art

    I remembered Food Fight only as a 7800 game, I didn't know it had been an arcade machine until New Wave Toys offered the Replicade version a few months back.

    After having had the privilege of playing this game in the new Atari 50th Anniversary Collection, I’ve gotta say, I’m hooked! I’m genuinely surprised that this wasn’t a bigger hit back in the day. It really should’ve been. Food Fight is the very definition of a hidden gem. I recently found out that New Wave Toys is adding this game to their incredible line of 1/6 scale “Replicades”. Unfortunately, I missed the opportunity to preorder it, so I’ll have to get one of those units once they are made available for a general rollout. Definitely another must buy for me.
    Anyhow, as always, awesome restoration work and hilarious (and informative) video (as per usual; I wouldn’t expect anything less from good ol’ TNT). Cheers from Olney, MD!

    If those are NOS parts and as rare as you say, you should at least get them properly scanned for a 3D Print database. This way the part won't be gone entirely and could be remade with modern tech.

    It's lways sad to hear some machines not making it, and even worse, being converted to something else. :(

  • @hirthirthirt1693

    Cabarets was for bars and other locations where a fullsize-machine would look too dominant.
    The machines did´nt ship to Ireland, in Tipperary/Ireland was an Atari-plant, they produced there. Atari Ireland made many games for other companies.
    That is the reason behind the Atari Space Ace/Dragons Lair.
    Also SEGA let them make there machines, for example the Ride-on bike of Hang-On.
    I would love to see some Deluxe-Machines restored in your shop, why are you dont do this?

    • @tntamusements
      @tntamusements  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Hirthirt hirt We ONLY do machines that we either have in stock that get sold or are sent to us to do...so maybe one day we will get some. REMEMBER, our main business is selling the machines. The videos are made of those games going out!

    Gorgeous game. I was lucky enough to get a chance to play this in the arcade back in the 80s in a seaside town called Newcastle , County Down. Super addictive. Only console I know that got a port of this was the Atari 7800. Quite a nice port that and it has the action replay feature too.
