I'm the girl that wrote the note! Still pinching myself that my note was used to welcome Mr. Backman at the Princeton Library book brunch. I will forever cherish this ❤ Thank you to the Princeton Public Library staff (especially Tom) for passing my note to Mr. Backman and for imparting a voice to my words of gratitude for this legendary author 🥰

Hi Sharanya -- It was such a joy to be able to incorporate your note into the introduction. Your words were truly perfect. Please come by and say hi next time you are in town, my office is on the second floor and Tom knows where to find me.

I just became a fan of Fredrik Backman through my sister and this TH-cam was great. Such a real person. Nothing phoney about him. I bet he is a wonderful, caring father too.

He is so honest. I love it. I love how even all this time he does not consider himself a "writer".

It's funny. He starts out sounding so serious, and some of the stuff in his books has me laughing so hard my ribs hurt.

Scandinavian/Nordic humour. Like a more brutal and less refined stiff upper lip. He is indeed insanely funny.
