Wonderful research here by Dr Ian Stevenson! I have been investigating reincarnation scientifically for decades, due to my (Australian) early childhood memories of my last life in London and India. No one listened to me as a child, which is why these cases can be less prevalent in non-Asian countries. I have known many children between the ages of 4 (language is developed enough for communication) and 7 (before the left-brain over-rides other brain areas) who had extraordinary knowledge of other cultures and even religious processes foreign to their family's. All little children have innate wisdom: listen to them!

    • @matmc71
      @matmc71 6 ปีที่แล้ว +30

Well, Kerrie, the reason I am revisiting this video is because I have gotten into a rather heated debate about the existence of the soul and the fact that reincarnation is very real. I was regressed at the age of 13 and my past life was very normal. I wasn't a king or a famous composer! I was the son of a dairy farmer in Ireland. I was born in London in this life. Anyway, I won't go into detail right here, but can I just say thank you for investigating reincarnation in a scientific way for decades? Somebody needs to pick up where the great Dr Ian Stevenson has left off. People are so quick to "poo poo" the whole thing but we really need to pull together and get people to open their minds to this factual phenomena. Good luck in whatever you do in this regard. I would love the time to really go into it.

When my daughter was four years old she told me she had another Mom and Dad, When I told her she had no other parents, she went into great detail about how she had died before. She said, she was chasing after a ball and was accidentally shot by her father. She also remembered floating above her body and looking down at herself after her body died She described what she looked like. She also remembered being a spirit floating over her mother and watching as her mother (same mother) choked on a chicken bone while eating a chicken sandwich, She says her mothers spirit floated out of her body and met with hers.I had not previously believed in reincarnation when she told me about her memories. The details she gave in her account were about things she had no way of knowing about, her description of the rifle for instance. Two weeks later, I myself had my own past life memory of being a little girl who fell down a well and died. Twenty years later out of curiosity I googled the details of my own past life memory and believe I have determined who I was. I believe my daughter 100% now.

My niece who is about 5 years old describes her earlier family (very poor family) in Rajsasthan (Thar desert, northern part of India, bordering with Pakistan). She misses her elder sister, and grand parents. We are from eastern part of India. She talks about forest fire, camels, water scarcity. She is very protective of trees and would do anything to protect a tree. She is absolutely scared of sand storm and says she was separated from her grand mother during one such storm and then one man stabbed her and put her somewhere full of bats. It seems she lived upto the age og 10 to 12 years in her earlier life. She is unable to understand how suddenly she has become a little girl from a big girl.

Rather, they are extremely educated, of MD's and PHD's, and from all sorts of vocations. What is equally as fascinating is when they find evidence to convince them of the true nature of our souls, they grab on to the subject with the ferocity of a badger and don't let go for the rest of their lives. I did a past life regression once, in my "visualization" I was a Viking, I was tall, brawny, brown haired, with a beard, wearing brown leather vest thing, had a helmet.. I was on a longboat with my crew, we reached a green hilly shore.. as we reached it I was stabbed in the back by one of my shipmates ... when I went home I checked my back to see if I had any birthmarks and to my surprise there was ... a light brown elongated diamond shape on the mid-upper left side of my back which looks a lot like another birthmark I already knew about on the right side of my waist. The sword would have surely pierced my heart and other internal organs... a little creepy to think about but this stuff is very interesting for sure

Unfortunately people tend to think it's fantasies and nonsense. If you knew, you could've gotten a lot of information before the age of 5-7, that's when they usually forget almost everything about their previous lives. The best age to look at is right after they start talk until the age of 3. Many children don't remember anything or can't express it, but when they do, it's very fascinating to research.

Demonic possession, the "hard problem" of consciousness, quantum physics, the Spiritual realm, and the wisdom of Eastern philosophy, are my fave subjects, and how they all relate to each other. The inter-related inter-connectedness on this plane and other planes of existence, there's plenty of evidence that we exist in a "non-local" universe (which goes towards the best explanation as to why mind/matter interaction works, telepathy, remote viewing, reincarnation and other phenomena, ie the brain is a filter/receiver of consciousness and not the producer of it, what FWH Myers and William James stated more than a hundred years ago but were dismissed as cranks) but despite mainstream science denying this fact as reality they accept Bell's Theorem, quantum-entanglement, and quantum superposition. Btw, I have several of Dr Ian Stevenson's works but the ones that are his seminal works are *Reincarnation and Biology Vol 1&2* which is a little out of my price range. Anyway, I'll quit rattling on now, but just to give you an idea of the keyhole view Science has into the fabric of reality,.....less than 5% of the Cosmos is composed of atoms and of that

Reincarnation or possession? I want to believe the first. When I was in Middle School, there were a few nights where I was dreaming and my sister would tell me the next morning I was "speaking Chinese" in my sleep. Out of the short time this happened, (maybe a week of these dreams?) I remember a small portion of what I was dreaming. I was dreaming of an Asian man in his 40s maybe? The first few dreams were just him with other Asians, talking and stuff - like a normal life. Then the dreams changed. He was frantic! He was on what appeared to be the side of a cliff and there were lots of "doorways" on each of the different levels of the side of this cliff. In my dreams he was always trying to enter doorways. But he was scared. After a few nights of dreaming about this man doing this, and waking up to my sister saying I was speaking Chinese, in the last dream I had about him, he entered one of the doorways and I never dreamed about him again.
The crazy part about this is I never looked into reincarnation or the afterlife until just a few months ago. I looked up the Chinese belief of hell (I believe it was Chinese?) And it said that their hell was different entryways - you guessed it! - along the side of a cliff. I read further to find out that they too believed in reincarnation - and that if you did bad - really bad - the worst punishment a man could have was to be reborn as a woman.
I am female. And my whole life I was a tomboy and as I got older I had "manly lusts" like my sexual appetite and what not.
If reincarnation is true, these dreams as a child and my behavior I used to have explains a LOT.

The hard part I am dealing with is I do also believe in demons so Im trying to understand if reincarnation exists, how do demons fit in it? Can they stop someone from being reincarnated? Are they just here to torment the living? Is "hell" temporary? I ask about hell because of how my dream fit in with what I read about hell (cant remember if it was ancient or modern belief?) So many unanswered questions!

It is important to note that Stevenson found one case of reincarnation for every 450 births interviewed while in another posting apart from Stevenson, who claimed that in his native Shri Lankans set the opportunity even higher at one in 500 births.
The point that this only widens the flirting of after death considerations.

Whether we believe in Reincarnation or not, we are all subjected to that Law of Nature, like what the Buddha said, the Law of Rebirth. If we don't have this Law of Reincarnation we cannot fulfill what the Master Jesus said in the Bible - "Be thou perfect like your Father in heaven is perfect." So because of this Law we can come again and again here to live a life to this planet and continue when we had stop at our last Incarnation until we succeed unto perfection!

I think that is kind of funny that with these cases investigated by Dr. Stevenson, and then Dr,.Tucker and such... with many "hard" skeptics, Occam's Razor seems to work backwards! I mean, they propose the most complex and bizarre explanations as long as they don't have to take account at all, not even for a second the simpler explanation that not all those children are lyers or delusional, and that at least there is something "strange" there that deserves respect at the very least.

it does not alway happen, and also, it usually happens in case of accidental death. Combat can be counted as an accidnetal death, but not everyone will have birthmarks. Dr. Stevenson might studied this more close details, as it so physically obvious with naked eyes and correlated perfectly with cause of death in previous life...

"Reincarnation", "rebirth" or "existence of previous lives and next lives" is academically accepted by scholars like Dr Ian Stevenson based on the reliable evidences shown in this clip. Some rebirth cases in Myanmar were high lighted here.
I think the subject of this clip can't be accepted by the "Believers of Creators". Even though the presentation is reliable and tree, they have to close their eyes and ears on this findings as this topic would turn their religious books to a false references

I also am reluctant to assume that most of us were pandas in previous lives because of our childhood preferences.
