when i was like 6 or something i ordered hearty italian pepperoni chicken sweetcorn peppers lettice cheese (toasted) many years later and the only thing i took off was the pepperoni 😭
I worked at subway and the ONLY good thing about working with 1-2 people per shift was that if someone acted like an asshole, we had the joy of telling them that the only subway within 50 miles wouldn’t be serving them that day. And since there’s almost never a manager, you could basically tell the assholes to go to hell.
I'm only a supervisor but i've kicked out or refused service to a lot of people for being dicks. Like bro i don't care who you are, but i'm not letting you yell at a kid who started 3 days ago over the portions in ur salad. Say it calmly or leave. Some people are fucking horrible and it's crazy to me that they haven't had the shit beat out of them yet.
See that might work for some locations but Subway has the most franchise locations of any company ever, and opening up one became super difficult because they were literally everywhere.
I understand the customer because I get so overwhelmed by choice and being on the spot but always try my hardest to be polite and I acknowledge sometimes it’s annoying for the worker
As a subway worker, I think the worst ones are the ones who tell you their whole order while you're washing your hands then get angry you didn't remember. Also had some colage dudes ding my bell so much that they broke it the other day.
@spewky2955 The point of getting a sandwich at subway is that it incorporates things I CANT make at home. For instance I often get the chicken teriyaki sandwich because I can never make a chicken teriyaki mix like that at home.
She doesn’t realise some people are allergic to gluten (one of the ingredients in flour) and she just poisoned a future customer. (Before any one replies about it being a sandwich shop, they do gluten free bread but not the main bread is gluten free.)
Every time i go to subway i always know the veggies, sauce snd seasonings i want but choosing the meat is kind of difficult since idk which one i like the most. Otherwise i wish i could have subway everyday since its better than jimmy johns, jeresy mikes, etc
My order is super easy it was an option on the board of the subway I went to for the first time. Didn't know what we were doing. The Subway worker was amazing and helped up alot. Explained everything and said we could combine anything we wanted. We liked it so much the first time, we brought another one for the way home. Birmingham Subway by the station is the best Subway I've ever had. Mines simple : Footlong. Turkey, Ham and grated cheese. Toasted. No Salad. (And sometimes Chipotle sauce in a container.) with tangy cheese doritos. Have that evey single time now. It's my regular order.
I totally get being overwhelmed with decision fatigue. I tend to do that and freeze up too. In this situation, the best way for me to avoid it would be to step out of line, take a deep breath and watch a few other people go through the ordering process until I've figured it out and decided what I want for myself. Or nowadays, try ordering pickup from an app before I get there.
Ah I was no where near that bad my first time going to subway…my social anxiety is horrible and I kept jumping out of line until the store was empty and the guy was like “uh nervous…?” Then I had to explain that I didn’t want to cause a scene and have a full blown panic attack cause people behind me and he seemed to be the only one working and my brain was determined to be a villain that day. He was so chill and I needed to order like 6 sandwiches for other people and I had to read everything off my phone 🥲…it was worse than when a teacher asks you to read out loud in class. Got the six sandwiches and asked if he would mind if I made an order for myself since I’ve never been to subway, I literally felt so bad for getting him to make so many sandwiches for my lunch run. Again guy was an absolute sweetheart and I ended up getting like THE world’s plainest sandwich and he told me it was a cool sandwich 😂. Needless to say as a person often nervous and somewhere they’ve never been before I don’t think I’ve ever met the person im having to talk to with hostility…that’s beyond rude.
Going to subway is so overwhelming! I once ordered the 30 cm and ate half of it! Like I just get so stressed and the workers and people behind me stress me even more
This makes me so self-conscious. I struggle to absorb information when I'm presented with a lot of options but *love* resteraunts where I can tailor my food to my exact liking like a buffet or something like subway or salad stations etc. But I'm always super self aware of how long I take bc I know I'm rereading the same words and looking at the same things over and over but the information just doesn't come thru bc I'm overwhelmed. I'm not rude to people like in the video but yeah I'm always worried someone's thinking I'm stupid or annoying for how long I take
Honey oat bread turkey with spicy barbecue sauce and lots of jalapeños, olives and some lettuce with tomatoes. Foot long def. Toast it too. And I’ll take a cranberry raisin cookie. That’s my order.
Subway really is intimidating the first time. I was 15 or 16 when I finally felt brave enough to go into a subway. Sadly, the lady was super unfriendly and not really helping me, and it took me awhile to overcome the fear once again..
I work in a drive thru subway and its even worse because they can't see the food. They get so angry about it but its their own fault for going in a drive thru FOR A RESTAURANT THEY HAVE NEVER BEEN TO BEFORE.
I am a server. I'm gonna talk about this as if this was a a real scene and not a comedy skit because I want to. Even tho the customer was pretty rude the server could have done a better job(even tho the server was really nice) Whenever I have a customer who's very confused I give them a very thorough run through of our menu and I tell them customer favourite, staff favourite. I talk them through flavours and find out their preferences. If I personally can't, I try to get another staff member to help or honestly I see many of my daily customers helping new confused ones. Ik I don't need to do this but i come across many people who don't want to eat food but just need to eat food and are frustrated or tired or just trying to get something in their stomach. This being said I'm paid well, my boss is great, I love my job and I love my customers so ik I'll put extra effort in than big corporate business who doesn't pay their employees well
One of my favorite things to say to customers is "Here at Subway, we like to play 20 questions." bc if we haven't asked you at least that many before the end of the line then you're either a regular or we're skipping options
I love your videos and I love that you depict a specific group of individuals...but every time I finish watching your videos, I feel like rushing out of my house to punch people in the face... Main reason: I've worked in retail and restauration and I've been through all of that, it's like reliving the situations all over again.
I have only ever ordered one thing with minor differences. If I'm feeling like going all out, Spicy Italian, Garlic and herb bread, Toasted, double meats, add bacon, provolone cheese, pickles, jalapenos, honey mustard and mayonnaise
For one of the options I would have said that one is turkey but the other one is get the heck out of the store or stopping freaking rude and then I'll serve you
hearty multigrain turkey lettuce swiss (no cheese if they don't have it) cucumbers pickles NOT toasted NO sauces You can't change my mind. Turkey is the best sandwich meat.
There’s some people who will deadass stand in a line for a while and still come up and not know wtf they want. The menu is in an area where you can see it from the fucking line😮💨😭
ordered subway through uber eats the other day and ot was the first time i ever changed my order bc i get so nervous choosing. The only issue is they never get my cookie order right :/ last time i was missing two
@@brydie191 Ouch, sorry to hear about the cookies! :( At least in the UK, you can also order via Subway's own app for collection, and I never had problems with my order that way.
these are all the things I had in mine (I never had subway before only that one time).:the white bread, guacamole, turkey, ham, and I had chips (not in the sandwich)
the best sandwich there is Italian white bread provolone and Black Forest ham every veggie besides banana peppers jalapenos and pickles buffalo sauce and mayo
I’ve never been to a subway and whenever my friends recommend it I get scared that I’ll be stood there for hours trying to decide what to get and then we just end up getting a McDonald’s 💀
At Starbucks people order their entire customised drink and at the end they say the size. Which is annoying cuz we need the size first 😭 gotten a few people that got a bit annoyed when they had to repeat. Also when they only say the size of the first drink and not the four other, pretty annoying 😭
I refuse to believe these people actually exist. Now unless I was really, really lucky over my 8 years in hospitality, I certainly never came across these people.
I’ve only went to a subway once before and that was because I was lost and just found it by accident 😅😅 I’ve never to another subway again (I got the MexiCali I think it’s called, it was really good but I don’t rlly go out much because overprotective and controlling mom doesn’t care abt how old I am she won’t let me go out alone)
I get hearty Italian bread tuna lettuce jalapeños cheese toasted sweetcorn and tuna but can never change I want something else but can never get something else
dude my subway order was always a chicken breast on flatbread thats it BUT THEN one day subway decided to chop their chicken i've literally had the same order since i was 13-14 years old i'm 25 now AND THEY JUST NOW DECIDED TO CHOP THEIR CHICKEN? so ya now i don't go to subway anymore bc the chopped chicken throws off my whole sandwich😭

@spewky2955some day you’ll order the cheese- some day. We believe in you.
I still order the same thing for years now but I changed the lettuce and Cucumbers to lettuce and onions
Fr though. 😂
When i was 7 i said tuna toasted with hashbrown
So uhmmm ye
when i was like 6 or something i ordered

Let me correct your title lol "a RUDE customer goes to subway for the first time" I almost never had rude customers like that for their first times
Exactly! I would be stuttering like hell if I was taking a while to look

This is why I don't go into Subway. Too many choices

just look at the options online and then go in and order. Problem solved.
