    Ethan I love u man but your hand reading is horrible. In the 10s hand you say a 5 is relevant… what 5 can he have? He was the initial raiser, got 3 bet by the button and then u cold 4 bet in the small blind and then he still called in between u and the button with the button left to act. His range is always 9s-Qs there. No other hands. Maybe AKo. That’s it. QQ and JJ most likely because he’s stuck and doesn’t know what to do with them because a 5 bet he’s only getting called by better. You should’ve thought through it more because you would’ve had his entire stack.

    You're better at Cash Game because your opponents can't figure you out. They're not sure if you have the nuts or just a bluff, because you constantly put them under pressure. But in tournament, your opponents have to bet no matter what because every round is a must win or out of the tournament.

    • @lottoking7777
      @lottoking7777 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      he's better at cash because there are so many dynamics in tournaments where you have to constantly adapt your play, icm Is a perfect example. cash games, you can play loose and it won't affect your game too much, whereas in mtts, playing for survival is more important than gaining chips. also, there's alot more variance in tournaments and Ethan keeps buying in for late reg, so we can't really take much from these outcomes...

    • @alvin1979wong
      @alvin1979wong 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Actually cash games and tournaments are totally different ball game..
      1 big factor… cash games the most you are playing with 7 opponents.
      Tournaments you are playing with hundreds…

    Cash vs. Tournament Breakdown:
    Cash: risking $15,000 to win ?? Maybe double your money, triple if you are lucky.
    Tournament: $15,000= 30 $500 WSOP bullets. More variance per MTT but more equity comes with it. Better ROI

You called his 40$ flop bet, understandable. but when the turn 8 and he bet more than a pot, it was an easy fold beacause you are possibly against flush and or made a straight in the turn and even you hit your straight in the river and he just bluffing and he bet big you still in an bad position. You should fold in the turn and move to the next hand. And the pot was not that big you can't win all the hand.

    I just want to say I'm very impressed with how much better you've gotten as of recent. Only 7 or so minutes in to this video and I see two spots so far that you surely would've called off or punted away your stack with how you previously played. You were already a great player but sometimes you got yourself in this "I have to win this pot" mode where you wouldn't give up on a hand and end up calling off a bad river bet or outright punting your stack trying to get people to fold. It's really nice to see this change in your game. All the best to you.
