What does vindicated mean?

@@SiVlog1989 he was happy to have surprised me but that word doesn’t really work for it lol
@@darkevilfairy usually the word means someone takes a risk in deciding whether to do something (like purchasing a Christmas present) and when it pays off (excuse the pun) the person who made that decision feels happy about making the decision, hence they would feel vindicated
