Buffy gave up all of her dreams to be the kind of slayer that mankind needs her to be. Spike did the same to become the kind of man she could love. He sacrificed his belief that he deserved her love in order to stand side by side with her. How sad that sometimes we can't be seen as desirable by the ones we want until we have hardened our hearts to the love we felt for them. I hope that I see that kind of love for what it is should it ever find it's way to me.
See the common thought to everyone was that buffy never loved spike she did it was true love despite what anyone thinks Spike and Buffy were always meant to be.
Of course she loved him but where as everything good he had ever done 4 her post soul and even getting his soul was all for her,his final good deed wasn't just 4 her..it was to save the world. And after she tells him she loves him and he says no u don't she looks so proud of him he was at last truly a champion. Buffy did love him it has been confirmed in Angel and in the comics and by Joss. She just realised much too late and I always felt she was kinda unworthy of his love,he got a soul 4 her and she always just seemed to love him bk when she needed him.Spike deserves better than Buffy x
So great tribute video, and I also believe Buffy loved Spike as much as she could have loved any person at that point in her life. And from Spike's point of view when she finally said it - it could be interpreted as a person who was on their death bed being told they were loved. And Spike is and would always be honest with her. That said... Buffy and Spike loved each other, but love was never the problem. Believing in themselves was. Spike needed to get to the point were he believed he was good enough a man not just to be worthy of Buffy's love but anyone's love - and he was nowhere close to that in Season 7. To Buffy's credit she was still traumatized and hinted as much that in her conversation with Angel; justifiably given how she risked her heart with Angel and Riley only to end up crushed when they left her, which she never fully recovered from even when they show ended. It isn't until three years later in the post-series comics (Season 10) do both of them believe enough in themselves again do they open up and admit to each other their fears of it not working out was what was holding them up - both in their love life and just living life to the fullest. But Spike at that point has grown and no longer sees Buffy on a pedestal; and even though taking a chance on Spike and it ending poorly would devastate her just as much as it had in previous relationship disasters - Buffy decides Spike was worth the risk. "Yay for maturity."

This video makes me emotional! :') Great job! Although,Buffy did meant it,it was so powerful the way Spike replied the same way she had so many times before! Spuffy 4ever! Can't wait to see their interactions on the new comics!
Very well done, brought tears to my eyes. Spike was my first vampire love and the ONLY reason I watched Buffy S4-7. Together they were smoking HOT. lol
Yes MissNikkie he (being the sensitive hero he always was deep down) maybe said it to make it less painful 4 her 2 walk away and 2 himself 2 leave her x
most beautiful spuffy video I have ever seen! I love everything about it the quotes, the different color combinations, the song, and of course the sences you chose. And by the way I think say something is the number one spuffy song.
This is beautiful and awesome. You did an amazing job on pacing the scenes with the music, and in a way that builds emotion. I love the way that you transitioned from scene to scene - gives a gorgeous look and feel to the vid.

That's fine. I wasn't using my heart for anything important anyway. ;_; I'll just sit over here and gather up shattered heart pieces.
