I really want to go back to Moscow, it was enjoyable when I went at Christmas, but I really want to see it in the Spring and Summer. I loved the metro, and my friend and I visited many of them. Everything from modern metals and glass to palatial architectures worth of a cathedral. It has to be seen to be believed. Thanks for sharing.

I was in Moscow for a week in September. I can easily say that the Metro system is the best in the world. In India, the Soviets helped to develop the first metro system in 1980's. Nice work by the admin!
unfortunately after witnessing the decay of the west first hand, this is going to be true. russia and china will inherit the future while the west plunges into internal conflict over many issues, political and budgetary. just make sure you don't let THEM do the same to you.

It always surprised me. How come the wealthiest country in the world can have such a horrible subway system in one of its major cities. Also hordes of zombie-like drug addicts in the streets of Philadelphia are quite impressive. The country that could easily solve the problems of homelessness and extreme poverty doesn`t even bother to fix the issues but always has enough money for countless wars around the globe.

ST Petersburg's Metro is also beautiful. My wife is Russian, we visit St Petersburg many times, love the buzz, love the architecture, love Heritage Musuem, love the canals and the crazy rich Russian girls wearing jeans while riding their jetskis. Hopefully one day, sell up and move to Russia, possibly a nice historic town just outside St Petersburg or Moscow.
My best memories Sasha, was when I was dating my future wife, 20 years ago. Wow, time certainly flies!. I had a connection flight in Ekaterinburg to Moscow. When I arrived at Moscow domestic airport, I had to catch taxi to Moscow International airport for my direct flight to London. My time there was in the heart of winter, knee deep in snow. Ekaterinburg was experiencing minus 30 degrees. I was slipping on my backside, landing on the deep soft snow was nice. Keep an eye on your husband, when the snow starts, better still, get him some decent boots 😁 You Russians are like penguins, you grip the snow like a four wheeler! Anyway, I had 8 hours to wait for my connection flight. The Moscow cabbie seemed sympathetic. Russians love foreigners who take interest in their country. Knowing I had time to waste, the cabbie offered to give me tourist guide around Moscow, FREE of Charge! I've seen the Red Square, beautiful historic views. When it was over, he wouldn't accept cash. I couldn't walk away without showing my token of appreciation, I tipped him handsomely! I thought I share 😅😅😅

The Buran project (an airplane for space flight). Where would humanity be today if the USSR had survived with its powerful scientific base. Memories of an unfulfilled future.
