The USSR was a great project: free housing, free medicine, free education, scientific discoveries, the first man in space, etc. Western false propaganda tried to throw mud at the Soviet Union. The Buran project (an airplane for space flight). Where would humanity be today if the USSR had survived with its powerful scientific base. Memories of an unfulfilled future.

Narod in Russian means the Nation, but has more more global sense. Another words - Russians are not a Nation, Russians are Narod - the society, who lives in equal rights with other nations (or narods who lives on same meanings)
Another airport in Russia, where there is a metro station, could be Fedorovka Airport in Omsk. But all federal money has been allocated to Moscow. Therefore, Omsk has a metro bridge, but there is no metro; there is an airport with a short runway almost in the center of the city (it is convenient, but dangerous!), but there is no large airport on the outskirts of the city in the village of Fedorovka.
