Walking in Skopje (North Macedonia)

Skopje is the capital and largest city of North Macedonia. It is the country's political, cultural, economic, and academic centre. The territory of Skopje has been inhabited since at least 4000 BC; remains of Neolithic settlements have been found within the old Kale Fortress that overlooks the modern city centre.

All the Balkan nations were under the Ottoman empire for centuries, so of course, all these countries have Ottoman influences - in (some) of their buildings, their food, their music, etc. Now that Macedonia is liberated, she has retained her historic influences. Bavarian Greece, on the other hand, demolished almost all Ottoman buildings and evidence of their existence in the former Morea (which was later to become Greece) to hide the historic past of this land.

Thanks for the video. However could you please pause when you get into the city, and slowly do a 360. You went through the market, passed the mosque, churches, historical buildings so fast. Also turn the camera to the side of the streets so we can see the statues and other beautiful places. Thanks for the video.
