I remember back in the days, probably like 2004-2007, this was my life. Being young, grinding was never an issue. I was addicted like crazy. The BGM is absolutely amazing. Gameplay was super fun. Although i stopped playing RO, i've been trying to get back on just to sit around and listen to the BGM. It's not the same just listening to it on youtube. Sometimes you just want to sit around town and hear people teleport in and out. i've not been able to log into RO since i stopped using windows computer for many years. I still have the payon theme as my alarm until this day. And RO BGM is the only true playlist i have on my phone.
Similar to me during my time while playing lineage 2, i remember was just listening to the c4 login screen while the internet was down, tried to play on private servers but excitement is not the same, still love to login from time to time and listen to the music in towns people using buffs and so on, i guess excitement is gone since back in the days mmo was something new and fresh, nowadays is nothing special, good thing i lived in time when mmo games was just starting and booming, had a great memories playing RuneScape, l2, wow, ayon, I doubt new generation of people will understand that.
Started playing this game way back in 2004. This is the only game that have the biggest impact on me in term of sentimental values. The grinding and woe. Every now and then i would install the game and just walk around in game and listen to the bgm. Nowdays i am married and a baby is on the way but i still find time to open my pc and play Ro just to reminisce the good old days. Thats how much Ro meant to me😅
WoE was what kept me in the game for years. The surrounding politics and banter in the forums, then duking it out in a brawl twice a week. For some reason I played on the US servers (while being European) so I had to get up at ~03:00 on Saturdays to join the fight. Worth every minute though.
Ragnarok is the best MMORPG ever for me and it's actually the only one I kept playing. I always play for a bit then put it aside for a good while. You know, The Ragnarok player cycle lol. I don't think I'll ever be over this game completely :")
"nostalgia alone isnt enough i played a lot of game in my childhood but i dont play them anymore" TRUER WORDS HAVE NEVER BEEN SPOKEN, ive been playing it for 18 years, till this day i still havent found a game tht i love more than this
started first at 2004 and got immediately addicted. since this time i played every 3-4 years a session of five to seven months, then i took a break. now we have 2024 and right now i play raganagnag again :D. like you said in the video. the vibe of the game makes it great and the class and card system is the best in any mmo, in my opinion. love this game so much!
honestly merchant class was and is still iconic lol i remember back then going in store to buy cheap discount potion & flywing to sell. It was fun just sitting there chilling and watching people buy your stuffs or even spending 2 hours going through every shop in prontera to find the item you want lol. Free open market like that really make a ragnarok world felt really alive imo. ahh i miss my childhood.
Hardly heard of any games with a merchant class. I have a Morrowind playthrough with an Imperial Merchant, directly inspired by RO. I've kept the OST nearby for the last 20 years. 💙
true. central market killed that "alive" aspect in a lot of games. if i the opportunity to make an MMO, RO's market is something that I would copy and improve upon. NO to central markets.
I really liked RO partly because of the fact that this job exists, which seems (at first) very non-combat-centric and pretty much references a lot of other aspects of the game, especially the social aspect where the Merch literally sells to other players
Had a strong urge to play again and thought I would do a quick search to see how it's been going. I really miss my bard/clown and casting bragi non stop for my priests and wizards whilst hunting MVPs. Made some great friends in that server
The best game that I’ve ever played period. Currently playing ROX mobile just for the sake or playing a “Ragnarok” game. I always wanted to install and play again the original Ragnarok pc game but it’s so time consuming especially for working people
I also played that Ragnarok Begins, and Eternal Love, but mobile ragnarok games are never very good. You are definitely right that it is time consuming! It is the one thing that really takes me away from the game, because sometimes I spend weeks, or even months, without being able to play.
I still play the original soundtrack whenever I work or study these days. But it just takes too much time to start from new, plus, I prefer low rate pre-renewal servers and almost all low servers have population crisis. You'd be lucky to have over 200 people on at one time excluding merchants.... The official Renewal servers also just lag too much if I recall correctly 10+ years ago loll And I personally think the renewal changes are way too broken, it's only obvious you then need even more broken monsters to balance it out. Like pre-renewal, I thought Thanatos, Ifrit, Beezlebub, Valkyrie Randgris and OMG Bio LABS were like ridiculous but SUPER fun and conquerable with the right team and knowledge. After renewal, some of these MvP's don't make sense anymore..... Like Satan Morroc's item drops also tilted the entire meta too... Conclusion - Ragnarok will always been in my memory :)
Yeah, it's the power creep. Like in Dragon Ball Z, the hero always gets stronger, the enemies always get stronger. So we have super sayan 2, 3, god, god blue, god blue 2, ultra instinct. Then we have freeza, golden freeza, and now black freeza. Recently, they added the green aura to MVPs, which made them super strong (they only take 10% of the damage). But they had to do that because they have been adding super overpowered items. But although I have one thousands reasons to complain about ragnarok, I still love the game :)
Exactly what I am thinking! I got the urge, like once every year, to play this game and start looking for a pre-renewal European server… sigh it’s so hard to find a good server to stay for a bit longer than usual 🤣🙈.
I'm amazed the game still exists today over 20 years since I last played it back in senior year of highschool in 2003... I miss my Knight with the messed up stats hahaha
Although i stopped playing, ragnarok cant just be a side game. I damn know that once i start im screwed. The endless grind and sleepless night i would spend to get the items i want will ruin me. Thank you for this video
Started RO in 2004 on Euro-RO and I loved this game. Got myself a server and sometimes I log in just to hear the music and take a walk with my GM-Char, using the command to be not attacked. So I can walk around peacefully. I still love the music and the graphic style. ;)
Been playing ragnarok since late summer of 2003. Hands down my favourite game of all time. I take breaks and stop playing but always come back. Since online servers come and go i have recently set up my own offline server so i will never lose my characters and I’ll be able to play forever :)
I know some people set up offline servers to make tests. I wonder how is your experience. Don't you feel some sort of loneliness? I mean, though most of us play solo, there is always some warmth in arriving in Prontera or the Eden group. How is your experience playing in a world where there is only you?
@@gamecitizen doesn’t bother me, but im different lol. I understand that 99% of people dont want to play MMO’s alone. Obviously ive increased exp rate and drop rates. Still working on tweaking them to feel balanced. I just want to be able to experience the game anytime im feeling nostalgic.
Started playing since 2003.. yes, if you new to this game you may not appreciate it. This game brings so much nostalgia. I will pick this 2d version vs the 3d version.
played iro when even the crusaders were a new class. I lost interest after trans class came out. I honestly wish they left it the way it was. But ill be forever grateful on the memories it left. RO was my life...literally! Back when I paid $10 a month....well back when my parents paid for it ha ha. I remember getting to lvl 99 was a "party" just to have everyone watch you get to 99. I remember I was a hunter grinding on turtle island with a 2nd account to "heal buff me" hahah good ol days! i am pretty sure this just was not a "game" to everyone here, it was more than that, it was our childhood and our memories that also surrounded us outside of this game. Ill always remember this game and the memories until the day I die
Same here! I just can't separate my teenagehood from ragnarok. They were one and the same! Being completely honest, ragnarok was not just my escape from the school life. It was more than that. Only who played ragnarok in its golden time will know who magnific that game was! :)
I think always worth for nostalgic reason for us 1st generation player back in 2002..in my country there are still many private server,if you have time and wanna experience in game community you should play this game..
I remember when I started at around 2008-2009. My brother played it when it first came out in the kRO. Its when private servers started coming out that I started playing. I couldnt take it with the 1x/1x/1x. I liked to grind but not to the point that it took 2 weeks for 1 card or any items. I then jumped into a low rate server about 25x/25x/5x and still found it too long to grind. few months later, I jumped into a mid rate private server. It was 100x/100x/50x and that is when my love for the game began. It took me maybe 2 years to start understanding the game. I'm not saying I was a grinding like crazy like the real servers and or low rates. I would never go back to low rate. What I would like to add is what I've witnessed throughout the years in RO... the realest and the best game I've played since I've quit in around 2015-2016. it is FUN, it is COMPETITIVE, the BGM (playlist) is INCREDIBLE. The grind, the war of emperiums where just 10 guilds are fighting to get into 1 entrance. The battles between guilds to be able to defeat beelzebub or just a simple atroce in veins field or even in bio labs. Seeing how other guilds would icewall other guilds from coming in and then seeing all classes just doing what they have to kill and then hope to get the 0.05% drop. Even just being in town and socialize with 100 other people sitting at the same spot while u can hear the master smith upgrading their equipments and you know they went for a +7/+8/+9/+10 when you see the fail animation. All the quests were intriguing and had drama, emotions and all sorts. I've tried to come back recently but all servers are from europe, malaysia, philippines, indonesia and even if you would try their proxies... some are too laggy, no one really speaks english or if they do, they dont care about you and I do understand it.
And even if you do manage to get a good server, they just aren't like in the past. All the things you said, so true! We were lukcy to have played this game during its prime!
I wish there was a mod/private server that managed to figure out the inflation problem. That and maybe found a way to feature the beautiful lore some more to the players' awareness Oh and LESS FETCH QUESTS
Hello! I agree with you I started playing RO back in 2004 or 5... something like that and i felt in love with it... it was addictive, it was fun, it was a really good experience... Nowadays every single MMORPG that i have tried consists in doing "quests" from the beginning, you go talk with a person to go talk to another person and so on... thats so boring... and when you get to fight monsters you have no risk of dying... literally theres no way you could possibly die in these games... theres no point for you to avoid attacks from enemies because theyre so weak... theres no danger. I want to feel again in another game, because i feel like i wont enjoy RO again like i used to... i want to feel that excitement again of leveling up, become more powerful...learn new skills, defeat more easily each monster... i loved going with parties to Thor... to level up, or just go on my own to farm Mermaids, i miss those times... where it was fun to play ... i need a new game that makes me feel super weak in the beginning and feel how I become stronger with time... i want to struggle killing monsters, i want to feel in danger when going to fight monsters...
I completely understand you. I share the same feeling. I still play ragnarok, but it's not the same as back in the golden times. I tried Albion recently, and there is the threat of another player, since it's full loot open world pvp. But it doesn't have the same magic as old times ragnarok. I sincerely don't know which other game will provide us with that same vibe. Maybe Ashes of Creation? But I'm a bit skeptical...
Very emotional and nostalgic game. My 2nd mmo ever, and have so many fond memories. I did grow tired of it eventually. woe in private servers still fun to play tho
One of the things i love its that this game its so ligh you can use multiple accounts at the same time and use multiple characters for the perfect setup and even join other players to create a safe haven in dangerous dungeons to help players. The official free servers have about 1.5-2k players and there hundreds of other servers you can check on a detailed list if you ever get bored of vanilla free
You know, in the official Brazilian server, multiclient is not forbidden. If anything, it's encouraged. But that is not the case with many other servers, including some private servers. In the official Korean server, they treat multiclient as one of the biggests problems. Crazy, right? I just think it's wonderful that this game is still played and loved by so many people!
I started playing around 2003 with my sisters. It was the craziest experience. Hitting poring for the first time. Farming pupas for free exp. Getting to explore Byalan and ant dungeon. I remembered randomly getting a vitata card and was so excited that I went straight to my sister. She ended up buying it from me and I bought a very very strong wind bastard sword for the first time. It felt so good to finally leveling in byalan and doing so much damage. Then pyramid, high orc, comodo, glast heim, and turtle island. It was a damn grind back then. Once the bots started coming in I think we had like 4-5 bots running in different maps at the same time. lol I would enjoyed optimizing the text files for the bots to be the most efficient and leave the computer on overnight. I would then check on it in the morning before going to school and the first thing when I get back. We started joining guilds, doing guild war, and actually won the server's war. lol I think we were rewarded like 50 angeling ears. We would look forward to the war like twice a week and if we aren't prepping for the war we would do boss hunts. So funny how the guild leader would pay us to participate and most of the time it's just sitting and chatting. The boss rotations for crown, grand, pipe, tiara, and cards was quite fun too. I remembered getting angeling hairband from trading carat at the npc in comodo and was wearing it with the ears with pipe. hahah I would spend many hours in morroc buying boots[] and eluminum to make +7 boots[] and sell them. lol I would make a ton of profit each day and then I started going for +8 to sell instead instead. lol I don't know how, but we all had +9 equipment with ghostring, golden thief bug, and many other boss cards at the end and were always doing pvps at one point. lol Damn idk when did we stop playing it. It think it was when hi-class came in and I didn't want to level the characters again lol Good times
Ragnarok PVP and Woe are so much fun! I reach a point that I am satisfied with my set and all I do was PVP. I just grind so I can PVP and attend WoE. LMAO. Fun times.
The story I know is that they decided to give up on the housing feature. On the one hand, I think it is a shame indeed and might have disencouraged some of the early developers. On the other hand, I think Ragnarok would flourish more if Gravity decided to leave each regional server to make any alterations they want, and make it easier to liscence the game and for people to make their own servers. But I dream...
when i was 15 i played a game that was called Rebirth Ro. im 26 years old know and played the Mobile version. i just realized it was Ragnarok all along.
@@arzos2603 Of all the mobile games of Ragnarok, Eternal Love is the one I prefer the most. But, still, too much idle gameplaying, it isn't my cup of tea!
@@gamecitizen I know only that game, i just got nostalgia and remember i played the PC version before because i remember the Peco Peco and Alchemist car. i just forgot that it was that game
2:31 This is the mindset that most mmorpg lovers should be like. Most players nowadays, in any mmorpg in general, always complain about mmorpg about being a cash grab/p2w. Ofc these mmorpg companies need money as well. The mindset most ppl should have is just play it at your own phase. Do not be competitive cuz no matter how good you are there's always someone stronger or skilled than you. Why bother being the strongest in the game. Just enjoy the game and you'll be happy.
im having a blast playin in middle school to college. from PC to ROM. its always fun to MVP party, find party to grinding, getting good drops, WOE, ruin other party spot by pulling MVP and stuff. BUT i swear to god every single time i played PC version launched here and there its always ruined by bots. like i remembered server flooded coz bots. the classic rogue Bots runnin here and there. and ROM first year is fun, until auction came up and bullcrap P2W happen tbh, i would play it again if there's no bots on grinding spots. for me RO is a perfect MMORPG.
Mobile ragnaroks have a lot of pay-to-win, but I think PC version has even more! Nowadays, many official servers don't have bots anymore. Depending on where you are based, it's worth trying again! :)
I remember playing this when i was in 6th grade. No trans class yet. Monk is everyone favorite job, everyone cheers when monk succeed landing the fist in PVP, instantly killing someone 😂
@@gamecitizen Yes it’s Indonesia official server. Run by Gravity Game Link. The server is crowded during guild wars. But it’s pretty decent on daily basis. Nice to know that there’s still many official servers running overseas.
Truth is most of the OG players have aged and already have careers to focus on. some have families while some have businesses to manage. In spite of this, these players still miss the game. However, what the developers do not understand is that as players, we all need a classic Ragnarok with only 2nd jobs or trans as long as it is balanced. with auto grind so we can live our lives and fulfill our adult responsibilities. They can just lower the rates and xp while being auto grind to prolong the life of the game.
Well, all the mobile versions of Ragnarok have autoplay. I don't think autoplay is the solution to the grinding problem. I completely agree with you that, for the vast majority of players, we simply don't have enough time to grind anymore. But I don't know what the solution would be, especially in a game like Ragnarok, where grinding is so ingrained.
Actually I dont really care I just want to play ragnarok but with mobile , I like the classic grinding sadly ragnarok in mobiles are auto quests which is so cringe
My sibling and I are thinking of playing an MMO, we've tried a lot but Ragnarok is one we haven't tried. I love games with unique classes and healing, so this one seemed good. Any tips for a couple of newcomers?
Oh, I'm still going to do a video for newcomers to Ragnarok, explaining the classes and everything! There's so much to be said, that the best I can suggest in this comment is to check wikis. iRO wiki is very good. First thing, you need to choose a server. If you choose an official server, like iRO, there is a tutorial that teaches the basic of the game. But, it's an old MMO, with a long history, many maps, many items, many stats. It's a very rich MMO! I suggest starting on an official server, play through the tutorial, and start with simple classes (acolyte and swordsman if you are playing in a group). I should do a video explaining the game for newbies! Good luck and I hope you enjoy Ragnarok! :)
@@gamecitizen I played on TrifectaRO, they're 3rd job renewal 17.1 server. The owner going to make it into quite customized server aimed to be RO 2.0 with 4th job, you could try it on the test server since all class except Doram already finished Although items and stuff are still on development, but the game pretty much finished on normal server
You mean private servers? Yeah, when it comes to private servers, now are dark times, and that’s bad for the whole community and longevity of the game. But, when it comes to official servers, Gravity actually opened servers again in many countries, and the other older servers are still alive (kRO, jRO, iRO, bRO, etc). The only official server I never recommend is the European one.
i am fan of RO online, its actually my 2nd game ive download n install on my 1st pc couple decade ago, and have played it over 10 years, but after try to replay it last few year ago in couple local new server, after awhile there will be hundreds to thousand of bot player that will ruin the game.
The game has many problems nowadays and it is a shadow of its former glory. But, I'm happy to say that bots are no longer a problem in many servers! Many servers are now using EAC, which truly blocked bots. The current problem are the macros, but they only bother because they ks you all the time - they are far less damaging than the bots.
E a maioria joga solo. Agora, pontos positivos: nostalgia pura, musicas legais, e não tem bot. É impressionante, mas não tem bot nenhum, desde que implementaram o EAC. Eu gosto do bRO. Não é perfeito, mas nenhum server é, e é um momento sombrio pros servidores piratas!
@@gamecitizen nossa, nunca imaginei ragnarok sem bots hahahah, acho que vou reinstalar e ver se lembro a senha da minha conta antiga. Valeu cara! Ótimo vídeo!!
I am basically waiting for a Ragnarok Impact and I really like the idea of removing the merchant class and make it like a profession skill like everyone can choose to have it as alternative skill set while playing main
Sure would be nice if I were able to log in. I registered, but when I try to log in to the client it says "Unknown account: Please register account". I tell ya... Is Ragnarok Online worth playing in 2022? Not if they can't get their client and accounts sorted out. Maybe they had a serious brain injury. Poor people.
Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed the videos! :) My recommendation would be, for the most people, iRO. But it depends on your location. The official servers of ragnarok have ip block, so, depending where you are, you will have to use a VPN to play on iRO. I play on bRO, the official Brazilian server, and I use VPN to play on it. To play on iRO, I also used VPN. Any good VPN will be all right, and usually the first month is for free, so you can test it. Now, regarding private servers, I'm must say I am a bit outdated. I played on some private servers until a couple of years ago - until Gravity started hunting the big one, Nova. That had a tremendous impact on the private server landscape. Many servers shut down at that time. Since then, many have re-opened. But I will wait a bit, and see which private ones will last. For me, Ragnarok is the perfect background game; that is, a game that you play for a month, stop, and return after several months. Because of that, I think stability is the most important aspect of any server. And that is why, when I suggest, I recommend official servers (not that they never shut down, it happened with the old european server, but it's been a while since an official server has shut down).
@@gamecitizen thanks for your explanation. I’m glad you took the time and I may check iro later today. What about guides and leveling spots? It’s been 20 years since I played actively and I forgot all the good locations for leveling up an archer.
@@chibiichenPerhaps I should make a guide! But, as a general guidance, you can follow the quests in the Eden Group. You can check iRO wiki about it: irowiki.org/wiki/Eden_Group
Love this game the only awful memory i have is the guy who put me onto this is Married to my first ever Girlfriend i still wish them nothing but the absolute worst things lol its not so easy to Forgive or Forget but Ragnarok is forever!!
i play since early 2003-2006 so much fun memories, we all still newbie , party everywhere, forge weapon armor always failed to +9 +10 🤣been cheated buy fake muffler no slot from player vending 😭 WOE always so laggy because potato pc, then stop play in 2007 because busy study n work ,then in 2017 new server ragnarok is hype again in my country ,i play again ,for 1 year the server always so full ,many veteran want nostalgia like me ,im happy enough but the feel never same like play in 2003 , but then server shutdown in 2019 because so many bots problem etc ,then new publisher make new server again in 2021 but player population now so small the hype is really ded sad ,bots always biggest ragnarok problem and weak server cant protect from this ,hacker always smarter
In a short paragraph, I guess you resumed most people's experience with the game! Nothing will be as good as Ragnarok during its golden times! Bots were indeed the biggest problem, but in the Brazilian official server, they started using EAC, which got rid of all bots. But I guess it was far too late to address this issue.
Definitely! I play the game leisurely, taking to get to level 100 in 4 years back in 2004 and getting my complete build. Does any private servers still exist?
Oh, so many! But you have to search a bit further their situation, check which ones are more stable. The officials ones ain't that bad either, so it's worth checking them out :)
Pois sou brasileiro! :) O canal é inglês pois moro na Inglaterra já tem muitos anos. Mas gosto do bRO, é o meu servidor preferido. Pois é o que me dá aquele gosto de nostalgia!
@@gamecitizen some kids nowadays are lazy they want easy task they dont want leveling and grindings thats why they choose mobile games they have no idea how exciting and fun in the world of ragnarok online.
The problem is that, right now, Gravity has been hunting down some servers. I prefer to play on a server that I can trust it will have longevity. Actually, that's the same reason why I stay away from the official European server. But I strongly believe that, by the next year, Gravity will once again let the privates in peace! People have been recomming OathRO to me.
@@gamecitizen I want to start on a server as well, but I don't want any of the renewal systems, it changed the game way too much into something that it just isn't. Would you say Oath is good?
@@neXIITem To be honest, I don't know too much about OathRO. All I know is that plenty of people have been recommending it to me, it's one of the servers that didn't close, and I haven't come across any bad news about it yet. If I had to guess, I would say it's the strongest pre-renewal server, maybe one of the strongest privates.
@@SIEGi Yes, it will say failure to connect. And it is because of region blocking. You might be able to register without VPN, but you will NOT be able to play. No matter how you register, you have to have VPN on to play. If you take an airplane, go all the way to United States, open an account on iRO, then go back to, say, England, without VPN, you will NOT be able to play. It's very sad, but for whatever reason Gravity thinks it's best to region block :/

Ive been trying to register it for over an hour and it wouldn't allow me to. I think the server is down. Ive tried a few times to register and always the same thing. Frustrated.
Are you trying to create an account for iRO? If so, where are you based? Depending on your country, there might be IP block. In that case, you would need to use a VPN. Alternatively, you could also try to access the website using private (incognito) browsing, or a different browser. Warpportal's website isn't very good!
xD That's the bizarre state of the game nowadays, and that is in an official server. All classes are able to deal tremendous amounts of damage, but the rogue usually isn't the meta.

When the Prontera song kicks in!
ill never be able to describe with words just how good ragnarok is
started first at 2004 and got immediately addicted. since this time i played every 3-4 years a session of five to seven months, then i took a break. now we have 2024 and right now i play raganagnag again :D. like you said in the video. the vibe of the game makes it great and the class and card system is the best in any mmo, in my opinion. love this game so much!
honestly merchant class was and is still iconic lol i remember back then going in store to buy cheap discount potion & flywing to sell. It was fun just sitting there chilling and watching people buy your stuffs or even spending 2 hours going through every shop in prontera to find the item you want lol. Free open market like that really make a ragnarok world felt really alive imo. ahh i miss my childhood.
Merchant was the best, especially if you went alchemist and did the homunculus quest for the pet. So good ;__;
Hardly heard of any games with a merchant class.
Mgical
It is the one thing that really takes me away from the game, because sometimes I spend weeks, or even months, without being able to play.
all true.. the best thing about old school RO is the BGM on the game. its so relaxing that I can listen to it 24/7. Just pure awesome.
My favourites are Wanna Be Free and Remember Blue!
This beauty brings back memories, I remember olayinyit as a 15yo teeneger, and now at my 35s I feel like going back. Love this so much
I still play the original soundtrack whenever I work or study these days.
I got the urge, like once every year, to play this game and start looking for a pre-renewal European server… sigh it’s so hard to find a good server to stay for a bit longer than usual 🤣🙈.
low rate is pretty hell. just play x20-x50 to not suffer
Old school Maplestory and DFO player. This game always caught my eye as a kid I might try it.
If you are into old school mmos, you should definitely try!
I miss DFO, how is it these days? I used to dream of striker combos
Listening to you talk about the "good" things in Ragnarok just made my day. I agree with everything you said!
Thanks! :)
Started playing since 2003.. yes, if you new to this game you may not appreciate it. This game brings so much nostalgia. I will pick this 2d version vs the 3d version.
2005 here o/
a lot of memory created.. Ragnarok Online is not just a game , Its live forever in players heart..
I love RO.... but we need an upgrade... i would love a "palworld" version of RO.
Yeah, that would be nice!
played iro when even the crusaders were a new class.
That and maybe found a way to feature the beautiful lore some more to the players' awareness
Oh and LESS FETCH QUESTS
Hello!
I agree with you
I started playing RO back in 2004 or 5... something like that and i felt in love with it... it was addictive, it was fun, it was a really good experience...
Never say boring for this game.
this game is Legend.
played it from 2004 up to around 2012 or 2013, after that i never touch ragnarok again. im addicted now to dota 2 and i can never leave. XD
I also started playing back in 2004! The only dota I played was the mod of warcraft III, but I played a lot of League of Legends.
I love playing Ragnarok, started 2014 and present 😍, IRO, Thor server 💪👌
o/ I have been playing on Chaos server. Isn't Thor a bit empty though?
@@gamecitizen About 130+ players, somes 200+ 😄 but its good for boss hunting 😄
I remembered getting angeling hairband from trading carat at the npc in comodo and was wearing it with the ears with pipe. hahah
I would spend many hours in morroc buying boots[] and eluminum to make +7 boots[] and sell them. lol I would make a ton of profit each day and then I started going for +8 to sell instead instead. lol
I don't know how, but we all had +9 equipment with ghostring, golden thief bug, and many other boss cards at the end and were always doing pvps at one point. lol
Damn idk when did we stop playing it. It think it was when hi-class came in and I didn't want to level the characters again lol
Good times
Nostalgia kicks in! We were lucky to have played this wonderful game during its prime!
@@gamecitizen yup! best mmorpg ever haha so ahead of its time idk how they came up with all of that
Ragnarok PVP and Woe are so much fun! I reach a point that I am satisfied with my set and all I do was PVP. I just grind so I can PVP and attend WoE. LMAO. Fun times.
@@Shortly8908 lol yea so much wasted with royal jellies
So sad that they were hacked back then. They had housing and a huge chunk of expansions almost ready but someone deleted it all ..
What is the name of the mobile game?
@@gamecitizen Ragnarok M Eternal Love
@@arzos2603 Of all the mobile games of Ragnarok, Eternal Love is the one I prefer the most. But, still, too much idle gameplaying, it isn't my cup of tea!
@@gamecitizen I know only that game, i just got nostalgia and remember i played the PC version before because i remember the Peco Peco and Alchemist car. i just forgot that it was that game
Anybody remember DarkRo or ForceRO? Having the game modded to add Jedi classes was the most fun I've had in a mmo.
My first private server, cant stop playing because the server rates is super high
Exactly!
I missed the old RO. Love it and was indeed addicted to it! Also grinding and learning how to bot 😉
I have come across a person searching for a private server that allows openkore. They were feeling nostalgia for setting up the bot!
I'm so heartbroken to come on and find that Transendence had the plug pulled on them!! 😭😭😭
I think there's still an audience for sandbox/grindy MMOs considering OSRunescape
I agree with this video specially with the forget the meta thingy, specially i love the lore of this game and it's gameplay.
Thanks! :)
Started playing since Sept 2003 and still playing it now Dec 2022 in Ragnarok Online GGH!
Wow! Without any break? I bet your characters must be extremely strong!
yes i recently got back in iRO chaos official after a long hiatus 2018 i really miss playing
im having a blast playin in middle school to college. from PC to ROM. its always fun to MVP party, find party to grinding, getting good drops, WOE, ruin other party spot by pulling MVP and stuff. BUT i swear to god every single time i played PC version launched here and there its always ruined by bots. like i remembered server flooded coz bots. the classic rogue Bots runnin here and there. and ROM first year is fun, until auction came up and bullcrap P2W happen
tbh, i would play it again if there's no bots on grinding spots. for me RO is a perfect MMORPG.
The only one mmo that i still played until today
The only online game I still play is Ragnarok Online (The Revo-Classic). Anyway, Hello from idRO :)
I play other online games, but only Ragnarok feeds my soul. idRO! The official indonesian server, right? How is the server?
@@gamecitizen Yes it’s Indonesia official server. Run by Gravity Game Link.
The server is crowded during guild wars. But it’s pretty decent on daily basis. Nice to know that there’s still many official servers running overseas.
A Rekenber Co. agent approves this.
i hate grinding, but love ragnarok, dunno why. hahahhaa
Best mmo ever my guild is Blueprints! We are station at Geffren on Chaos!
If pre renewal yeah.. but even in pre renewal people are abusing portal+asura. Ruins the intended way to kill the mvps.
I love RO but I wouldn't start playing in a Oficial server again.
Any private server recommendation?
@Game Citizen I am playing on Limitmmo right now. It is updated with korean server. I'm liking it
last time i played it is 2 decades ago. i remember the 1st expansion guild wars took a week to download.
First time I played it was in 2005! GOlden times for the MMORPG genre!
I say, it's still worth playing.
its not worth it playing official server
its still worth it playing on private server
Any private you would recommend? The most recommended one, recently, has been OathRO
@@gamecitizen I played on TrifectaRO, they're 3rd job renewal 17.1 server. The owner going to make it into quite customized server aimed to be RO 2.0 with 4th job, you could try it on the test server since all class except Doram already finished
Although items and stuff are still on development, but the game pretty much finished on normal server
@@cypherusuh I might try it. Congrats to the owner for withstanding the current hard times for private servers!
it's only worth for nostalgia purpose
Most of the servers have been forcibly shutdown so... no?
You mean private servers? Yeah, when it comes to private servers, now are dark times, and that’s bad for the whole community and longevity of the game. But, when it comes to official servers, Gravity actually opened servers again in many countries, and the other older servers are still alive (kRO, jRO, iRO, bRO, etc). The only official server I never recommend is the European one.
@@gamecitizen Yea private servers. Only masochists and rich people play on the Official servers.

i am fan of RO online, its actually my 2nd game ive download n install on my 1st pc couple decade ago, and have played it over 10 years, but after try to replay it last few year ago in couple local new server, after awhile there will be hundreds to thousand of bot player that will ruin the game.
What do you mean by Ragnarok Impact? Like a Genshin, but Ragnarok?
Sure would be nice if I were able to log in. I registered, but when I try to log in to the client it says "Unknown account: Please register account". I tell ya... Is Ragnarok Online worth playing in 2022? Not if they can't get their client and accounts sorted out. Maybe they had a serious brain injury. Poor people.
Private server was the shit back in the day
Still play this on 22

pre-renewal is always superior
Hey Gamecitizen. I love your videos and I’m thinking about playing again. Can you recommend any good servers?

If I had to guess, I would say it's the strongest pre-renewal server, maybe one of the strongest privates.
how to register it doesnt let me? can you help @game citizen
Sure, no problem. You want to register on iRO? Or bRO? Both require VPN. That's very annoying, but nowadays all official servers are region blocked.
@@gamecitizen after i register i can play without VPN?
@@gamecitizen when i try to login now in server says failed to connect to server is it because region blocked EUROPE?
@@SIEGi Yes, it will say failure to connect. And it is because of region blocking. You might be able to register without VPN, but you will NOT be able to play. No matter how you register, you have to have VPN on to play. If you take an airplane, go all the way to United States, open an account on iRO, then go back to, say, England, without VPN, you will NOT be able to play. It's very sad, but for whatever reason Gravity thinks it's best to region block :/
@Munbalance had me play it again esp the Shining Moon server.
This game is still the best
What's the last song playing please ?
It's from Ragnarok OST, and it's called AbSolitude :) I love that song! I love Ragnarok's soundtrack! All music I use in any of my videos is from Ragnarok's OST.
@@gamecitizen Thanks !!! I honestly think that Ragnarok have the best ost, i used to listened to them every day back in the days (s/o Monastery in disguise 🥺)
where can i download this game
Ive been trying to register it for over an hour and it wouldn't allow me to. I think the server is down. Ive tried a few times to register and always the same thing. Frustrated.
There are many different servers. The official for the USA, for example, can be accessed here: renewal.playragnarok.com/
Are you trying to create an account for iRO? If so, where are you based? Depending on your country, there might be IP block. In that case, you would need to use a VPN. Alternatively, you could also try to access the website using private (incognito) browsing, or a different browser. Warpportal's website isn't very good!
Which server is this?
It's the official Brazilian server, which I can only access through VPN too
any low rates/high pop server?
If you mean pre-renewal private, then maybe OathRO
How can I get it
Many different servers, it depends on where you live. Just google it. Ragnarok Online. :)
2:47 "i don't think rogue is very powerful" - proceeds to deal thousands upon thousands of crit damage lmao
xD That's the bizarre state of the game nowadays, and that is in an official server. All classes are able to deal tremendous amounts of damage, but the rogue usually isn't the meta.
I opened the video just to say YES!!!!! K bye!
What servef is that? Have you try ro origins?
That's the Brazilian server. I haven't played Origins. Is it good?
@@gamecitizen It is adictive.... Try it
