I'm 40 years late to the Numan party. I obviously knew Cars back in the early 80's but that's where my knowledge ended. Two weeks ago a friend recommended My Name Is Ruin and told me it would change my life. As a die hard NIN fan, I was instantly hooked. I now have 40 years of his music to catch up on. The only issue is Savage and Splinter are so damn good, I can't stop listening to them to get any further back in his catalogue. I really hope he hits Phoenix again on his next tour.

I've been a fan of his since then, but not of all of his music. I really didn't like ANYTHING after Telekon up until Sacrifice came out. I feel every album from 81-92 was garbage. I was so happy when Sacrifice came out, and even more so with Exile and Pure. But now I feel it's getting boring with Ade Fenton being involved for several albums in a row. Every album is sounding the same as the last one. Get rid of Ade and give us something fresh again.

Very rare an artist gets better over time and can evolve and still look cool without trying so hard. His Philly set was amazing.
We saw him in Pittsburgh on the same tour. My wife specializes in autism and she was able to explain many of his autistic mannerisms like never talking between songs, his smile after each song, etc.
There's not a new song off Intruder yet that I don't love. Amazing stuff!!!

I remember seeing him on top of the pops in the uk and most of my friends hated are friends electric , i just thought it was fantstically different, all music can have a sameness to it but the emotion in his stuff beats the fluffy pop crap hands down ! I like all kinds of music and Gary's is just one type. Listen to what makes you sing and dont bother comenting if you dont like it , just tap and find something else

Great song. What I like best is the throwback to his previous work form the 80s. The nod to Dance in "I am Screaming", and here (starting at 1:07) we find that shape-shifting synth that lurked in much of the Pleasure Principle and Telekon. I love it. :) Really looking forward to the album.

Was with Gary from 1977 for 1983. After that he lost his way a bit. He got it back big time in the 1990s and has been rocking it ever since.
I get why you left. But like you, I have been with Gary since the Tubeway Army days, and have never left. I can't wait for this record.

I am playing it for the fourth time in a row right now and it is my first time recollecting hearing this performance. This spirit soul is connected. He is connected to divinity in the heart. That is the only way to project this energy outward. In my humble opinion. I may be a big fan and that makes me partial but this is beyond the genre of music or the presentation per se. This is art par excellence reaching pinacle within the particular area that has been searched out by these spirit souls. The spirit soul some of us call Gary Numan is seeing divinity within the heart. Bless him for singing for us to hear that and feel more and dream more of what will be. He's an eternal blissful spirit soul is why we love him and appreciate his voice and heart he is an angel and his singing his voice is proof that is called transcendence at heart level, in my humble opinion. This just gets better and better. For the first time since "Sacrifice" was released,I'm sitting up all night listening to it again and again on headphones. The album simply can't come quick enough!

Yeah...he's used his trade mark reverb synth sound in the background...not heard it in any of his music for 40 odd years...but it sound great along with the his modern sounds.

Gary has come a long way since that disaster Machine and Soul in 1992. This is got the era of pure about it. The fact that his daughter is singing on the album makes it even more tear-jerking in special.
I have been a fan since 1979 this must be the best he's done since telekon. I just love the for tracks I have heard from intruder so far.
I just can't wait to hear the rest. This happened seems to be a lot more electronic the previous five. Sacrifice then Exile and after that pure followed by jagged. There we had splinter and then Savage with a sprinkling of dead son Rising. All these albums are a great progression for Gary.
I never thought I'd say this but this beats the early 80s stuff hands-down.
We must not forget Ade Fenton who produces Gary stuff nowadays.
