i agree the clip 2 is a bit lacking in the bass department(which is actually pretty fixable). however, being able to remove the clip on it and being able to let it float in the bathtub is actually pretty good. also not having the clip on the clip 2 as a fixed device is alot more comfortable.
Hey you can connect it to your old speakers FLip 2 or Go, Flip 3 even flip 3 is a decent speaker in comparison to these speakers. JBL connect + is a marketing feature to separate the old series with new series. Before Flip 4 came there was no jbl connect. They just want to reduce the sales of the old series. If you buy flip 4 either you buy flip 4 or it's next version. but any way thanks for comparison !!

The audio sounds distant and I can barely hear the other person on the line. The fix for this is to restart the clip 3 and then it sounds crystal clear. At first I thought my Clip 3 was defected, but then I bought another one and found it had the same issue. I’m using the iPhone X when making and receiving calls. Anyone else having the same issue??

Mx Jonson flip. Get the flip. Too sad that your budget is tight. Got a Pulse 3 for €169.99 instead of the usual €200+ because it was the last one in the store and they weren't stocking up on them anymore. Very good audio and a beautiful and mesmerizing light show.
100% battery dies off real quick. I find it very annoying when they advertise 10 hours at 50% must of us are not going to play at 50% volume to me and they say that battery will last 10 hours I should be a 100% volume.

With no Daisy Chain feature on the current Clip 3 I prefer my Clip 2's.

But the flip 4 is still better
If you flick the Clips sprung hinge several times the hinge pin will work loose. So watch out for that. Other than that it's a great speaker.
