      Yo y’all should do more video like that to appreciate the beauty of Puerto Rico that part of aguadilla was a old base back in the days almost all aguadilla was a base for the army.

    How the plane got there: there was once a factory that was going to build planes. That was the first plane they were building that never got finished as the project was abandoned almost from its inception. The factory never took off, the plane was never completed. It was placed there as a memory of what could have been. I remember as I lived and grew up there.

    you guys are so cute, I'm visiting Agusdilla for the first time in a week, and this is very helpful, I just need a simple, down-to-earth place, and this is it, I got a great deal with a Airbnb, looking to travel on a budget, I'm originally from Cuba, and Puerto Rico is the sister island, I love the people, and I feel I'm in Cuba, with no nostalgia, thank you for sharing

      Hey Amy, I would say its pretty safe in Aguadilla and Isabela they are smaller towns than San Juan and the people are genuine for sure. As living there and experiencing day to day life as a foreigner people are very nice and welcoming. Im not sure on specific air bnbs , I do know that they are getting more expensive but if you look for one a little further away form the beach it starts to get cheaper. The air bnb's are pretty nice most of the time and clean. Are you going to visit PR soon?

    We're moving back in a year when I retire, somewhere between Aguadilla and Cabo Rojo, having lived a couple years in Mayaguez before. Man, do I miss Puerto Rico !!!
    On a side note, and no disrespect intended, your wife/girlfriend is absolutely adorable ! She looks Asian to me, and our 17 year old daughter is Asian (adopted). It would be nice to have some friends that Mei-Lien has commonality with.
    Cheers, and thanks for the great video of a wonderful little town.

    • @jamesxpri
      @jamesxpri  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks it was so fun going to the different areas. Its always fun going around the Island. I think in Total there are 8 airports in Puerto Rico. The main one we use is Aguadilla, best airport ever, lines are short and things are simple :)

    As a kid I lived at Ramey AFB. It is now a destination airport like San Juan where you can fly directly from Florida. There are hotels, house rentals and car rentals at the old base too so you can do the west side of the island without ever going through San Juan if you choose.
    Crash Boat Beach is a must.

    • @jamesxpri

    Puerto Rico owes America big time, everytime you have a storm we bail you out. Then we find out the boss of your island hid some of the supplies we give you. Without the diesel from America you would starve. Puerto Rico needs that Hotel. For $ from us. You have no manufacturing, no jobs I know because me friend owned a chain of ice cream shops and he barely makes it. He told me your generation doesn’t go above and beyond. Build more surf camps for Americans, Puerto Rico kids …..get to work

    • @jamesxpri
      @jamesxpri  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      its true , I would say the government need some work and can be kinda messed up but the people of PR have good souls and are strong and positive. innovation is on the horizon and new possibilities are brewing and this generation is a creative one. Things will come around

    Hi! Do you guys like living in Isabela? Is it walkable at all? Are you guys able to make friends? I really want to move to learn Spanish. Thanks for your help :)

    • @jamesxpri
      @jamesxpri  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      it is walkable and bikeable to some extent but having a car is really recommended because there are no public transportations and Isabela is pretty big. We live lik 20mins from the Plaza where Walmart is where we do most of our shopping

  • @supervisorone5960
    @supervisorone5960 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Great video nicely done love that spring in the park or plaza, spring in spanish is manantial as you may know. Love the ocean views to some of us the ocean is addicting it calls to us, if you like mountainous country views you can find that in Jayuya and Utuado which has a beautiful lake called dos bocas

    • @jamesxpri
      @jamesxpri  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s so pretty! Love how that spring is historical. We love Utuado! We actually have a Vlog where we went to one of the secret waterfalls there. We defintely have to see more of Jayuya!

    • @supervisorone5960
      @supervisorone5960 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@jamesxpri You know I'm reminded that looking back towards the 1500's this is why PR and some other islands have that colonial construction and the narrow roads, its because Puerto Rico, the DR, Cuba, Jamaica had fresh water so therefore the Spanish colonized them and from there on became populated the other islands no matter how popular today still get their water imported or collected as it rains

    • @KarloRPerez
      @KarloRPerez 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I guess the best and cheapest option is to rent a car. My grandparents told me there were trains that traveled around the island but were abandoned by the 1950s due to the introduction of automobiles. Being born and raised in PR having a train would've been a blast.
