As a PTSD sufferer getting out in nature is what helped me , starting with being able to use the stress and adrenaline tou advantage on prawn boats that job saved my life and fishing was there as a back up great work lads
Work is a healer, as well as fishing. There's something amazing about being outdoors. I think we are pretty blessed to be in one of the last unspoiled parts of the world (Scotland). Thanks for sharing your story. 💙🎣
Lovely looking marks mate right up my street just a pity we're at the time of year the cod get a bit scarce 👍 and totally agree about the fishing being great for mental and physical wellbeing 🎣🎣

Great video and great therapy.Social media is damaging folks mental health as it can be a negative platforms but especially when sharing your passion. My advice to young people is get yourself out fishing the sound of water heals .

Best video yet guys. Well filmed and a great piece to camera by Alan - something that is very close to home with a lot of us. Through work, I have been exploring fishing with school pupils, as a means to re-engage some of the disengaged young people. All of the fishing/school charities are south of the border (and growing fast) but with no sign of coming up to Scotland. There is huge scope to help those who are suffering with MH and those young adults who are trying to navigate their way through school and early life. I really think fishing is one of the answers! Keep up with the great content and your new camera is the biz. Cheers. Nick T
Hi Nick. Thanks for the feedback and kind words. Sounds like you're doing a great thing - I think the fact that there is a serious lack of extra curricular activities for young teenagers is a failure point. I remember growing up with what we called 'youth clubs' running regularly. It gave us all something to look forward to. They are all closed these days. I hope you manage to break through and set up an initiative. We used to do summer break school fishing trips when I was a kid back home in Shetland. Some great memories!

Great video guys! Can’t beat a trip out on the rocks regardless of the conditions! Great effort guys and a great message on mental health! Fishing certainly changed my mental wellbeing for the better and I can’t encourage enough people into the sport for said reasons! Once again top stuff guys!
Ah cheers, Kieran. It is funny how mental health creeps up on us all as we enter our later adult years. When you and I were pottering about fishing Hamnavoe pier as kids we never gave it a second thought!
Look forward to getting home some time this year. Must get a catch up session sorted!
