From snuggling up to adorable ponies to being awestruck by an exhilarating fire festival...what an amazing couple days that must be. Never heard of Up Helly Aa, before now thanks to you guys. Wow
Hi Gemma and Campbell We love Jersey, Guernsey and Sark which we visited many times before I retired from The Job 15 years ago. We loved our times in the Islands it was magical. This vlog is even better than Glencoe and the Isle of Skye. I join you as a year older having spent last weekend on the Chichester Canal Boat Trip and to round off with two games at the Ten Pin in Chichester. All the best Crawford
Hi Crawford, they are really beautiful islands aren't they! We are a sucker for a bit of island life 😊 Ahh Happy Birthday, we hope you had a wonderful time 🥳and as always, thank you so much for watching 😁
Hi guys good to see you back on the videos again. Mist your travels. Shetland is a lovely place we have friends of a friend who live there and we went up 5 years ago we could move up there. Your looking good and enjoying Shetland. Take care and stay safe R&J
Hey Robert 😁 thanks for watching! We will be trying to post every fortnight these days as we are busy with other work ☺️ got a big road trip coming up with plenty of content so keep your eyes peeled 😁
We are so very grateful to have experienced the Up Helly Aa festival with you both, it's true, it's the most wildest, unique, memorable if not slightly unusual community event we have ever been too, but far out, we had the BEST time meeting the locals. We've booked in another trip this coming June because it's such a nice place. Next time, 5 weeks, not 5 days. Safe travels to your next exciting country ❤
We're so glad we got to meet you both too. What an incredible trip and unique experience it was! Such a cool place! Excited to see what you both get up to there in June 😁
TOTALLY CLASSIC ! You guys have reclaimed the magic of some of your very best episodes with this effort. The photography of the festival rivals any travelog videos produced this year. The Shetland pony segment had an otherworldy quality that would be impossible to find anywhere else. You guys capture the perfect lighthearted tone throughout that beautifully conveys how much you really appreciated the experience.Bravo !
We went to Shetland (bucket list) in September 2023 and loved loved loved it. Beautiful views everywhere, welcoming friendly people, we enjoyed it all. Headed to Yell and Unst, too. We’re already talking about a return trip. It’s a special place.
It's incredible isn't it, we have fallen in love and already can't wait to go back 😁 Unfortunately the conditions weren't in our favour to get to Yell and Unst on this trip but next time we'll definitely make it up there 😁
You cannot use that wire/spring thingy to unblock your kitchen sink because under the sink is a trap which stops smells coming into the camper from your waste tank. Mostly is the blockage at that trap, so you have to unscrew and raise the sink unit to get to the trap. Disconnect it from the pipes, open the trap and clean it then connect it back together. Maybe 1 or 2 hours work. What a trip you are doing. Love your blogs.
We moved to Shetland on 4/1/2000 my husband was a teacher .. loved it . I still have a son and his family there but we left Shetland 9 years ago and moved back to Caithness to Dunnet where we come from .. love watching yous
Aww lovely, what an amazing place to live 😁 although Dunnet is also one of our favourite places 😆 Thank you so much for watching, we're so glad you are enjoying our videos 😁
Hello I’ve just watched this episode oh my how beautiful. You capture everything with your drone footage. I watch the drama Shetland and I see places they have used in that drama. BEAUTIFUL XX
Well you have done Up Helly Aa, we are so envious, what a night, better than New Year they say!! You were lucky with the weather as well on some of your drive abouts. You didn’t mention the drinking and music part of the festival, did you go to many gigs in Lerwick? As ever enjoyed the video and your company, cheers, Mike and Geraldine 🥃🥃
It was incredible! And yeah the weather lucked out in the night as the rest of our time there was crazy 😂 we went to the gals afterwards but didn’t spend much time in Lerwick due to the weather and being unable to drive to our campsite after 😊
Shetland looks wonderful amazing festival, lovely ponies and beautiful beaches. Thanks for sharing with us and safe travels on your next adventures I watch your videos from Australia and love seeing all the places you go to
It was one of the most amazing places we have visited, so beautiful and so friendly 😁 Thank you so much for watching all the way from Australia! We'll hopefully be back over your way sometime soon 😁
I was up there for Up Helly Aa this year, it was amazing. what also amazed me is my red Berlingo camper is in you video at 18:10 at Escha Ness. loved the video, it was wild at times.
Yeah I loved Up Helly Aa and had always wanted to experience it That day at Esha Ness was so wild, the waves were amazing. I’ll probably go back later in the year as due to the weather I couldn’t get to Yell or Unst.
Loved this video! What a beautiful island and the ponies were wonderful too 🥰 Thanks for sharing your adventure, especially Up Helly Aa. That was incredible! Safe travels 🏴💙
Great content guys, that Up Helly Aa looked great fun. I must say I loved your drone footage, it looks an amazing island. P.S. I loved your talk at the NEC 👍🐸
Hi Gemma & Campbell, great vid as usual. We did a rail tour of Scotland last year taking in Skye and Orkney, as well as Aberdeen, Stirling and the Cairngorms. We enjoyed it so much that we are going back in May but taking our caravan. Going back to Skye and on the way staying at Moffat, Loch Lomond, Glencoe and Scone. Something that might be of interest to you is the Tar Barrels of Ottery St Mary, it’s one of those things that you can’t imagine happening in the UK, well worth looking up on TH-cam 🔥🔥🔥
Hi Graham 😁 thank you so much for watching! That sounds like a brilliant trip and so glad your making the trip back again 😊 we will definitely need to check that out then, thanks 😁
Be careful Shetland gets under your skin. So much so after many years of visits we have a bought a place there….in the process of making our full move soon. We were there for the South Mainland up Helly Ha….that was truly awesome, the procession and burning of Scousburgh (aka Spiggie 😮Beach.)
It was honestly wild Mark haha! So so much fun though 😊 we'd hoped to get in the water but unfortunately the conditions weren't to be on this trip, next time 😁
If you want to take a real part of Shetland with you in your van wherever you go, why not get the newly released audiobook *Bobby Tulloch's Shetland: An Islander, His Islands and Their Wildlife* read by his niece, Caroline Keith?
Why didn't you buy some liquid sink unblocker pour it down and leave it overnight and it clears everything out just like being in a house same stuff would do I've used it before
