    Good,informative video mate. Just got in there and did it!! No talking required. I think some people enjoy the sound of their own voice more than actually giving out information.

    first build I've seen that uses a taller end which the smoke will be attracted to, and an open end so the fire can breathe. Most people seal up a circle tight and the fire can't breathe. I'll be using your design this spring.

    Cowboy collect wood, make big fire and collect more wood. Indian collect wood make small fire, keep warm.

    This design looks like it might have potential for a vertical rotisserie like you traditionally see gyros being cooked on.

    What's the purpose of the metal plate by chance? Cooking grill???

      Just a metal shelf any reason you might need one, and Thanks for watching!

    Great video. Does the design help with reducing the smoke?

    • @SStewartBibleProduction
      @SStewartBibleProduction  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      No, the smoke is still the same. Thanks for watching!

    • @UnkleAL1962
      @UnkleAL1962 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@SStewartBibleProduction it will still have smoke, but with the end being higher isn't the smoke attracted to that end? Appears that it would.

    Hi Dr. Stewart. Thank you for sharing. What a great design! I was wondering what the size and thickness of the steel plate?

    • @SStewartBibleProduction
      @SStewartBibleProduction  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi, Thank you for watching. The steel plate is just a hot shelf for anything wrapped in alum foil. I think it is about 1/8 inch thick, and around 6in wide and 24 inches long. Sure comes in handy.

    • @SStewartBibleProduction
      @SStewartBibleProduction  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mr. Greenbrier probably 1/8 of an inch. Thx for watching.

    How do the landscaping bricks hold up with the heat? I've thought of doing this but wasn't sure.

    I love this design. I would like to know what's under the first layer of bricks and where did you purchase the set of grates for cooking? Thanks for sharing.

    • @SStewartBibleProduction
      @SStewartBibleProduction  ปีที่แล้ว

      The ground is under the first layer of bricks. Search Amazon for metal camp grills. Thx for watching.

      @@SStewartBibleProduction no. There's definitely a paving stone on something on the ground. What is it?

      I recently build my fire pit. I decided to use granite. I bought rip rap at a landscape company and used the largest and flattest ones. Worked out great. I'll have to post a video.

    Creative but why go through all that work when you cook over aluminum foil? Use stainless steel grates and they’ll never rust so you can cook over it any time

  • @nicholasstarkie4684

    Hi great video!!! Please excuse my dumbness but what is the name of the type of brick used? Do they have a particular name. Thank you.

  • @Guitarista129

    What are the dimensions when built? Has anyone used rebar so that grates could rest on them when used for cooking and removed when used as fire pit?

    • @SStewartBibleProduction
      @SStewartBibleProduction  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry; I am not sure of the dimensions. We took this grill down later and built another one, but thanks for watching!

    • @SStewartBibleProduction

      The metal plate is not a cooking plate; it is more like a place to park food wrapped in alum foil like corn or potatoes. Thanks for watching!
