As others have mentioned, the materials for a generator may be hard to find. But a simple waterwheel (maybe pelton turbine) could provide mechanical power for blowing air for a forge, driving a lathe, or some other mechanical tools.

Ngl this content is really odd, but it's honest and is just a guy dedicated to his craft. There is nothing I can hold against these videos. They're actually pretty entertaining. No clickbait, no begging for views, just a genuine craft and dedication to it. 9.5/10

A wonderful idea, but where would you find not only one person but an entire group with that sort of mentality and dedication? Don't get me wrong though - if such a group exists, I would love to have a look at what they do! =)
People would pay a lot of money to come live with you for a month and learn how to do this stuff. In the western world we barely go into nature anymore and this seems like the perfect way to unplug from everything and get yourself balanced again. It would make an awesome television show. How cool would it be to see someone who has never even climbed a tree learn how to build a house without modern tools? The no talking while filming would still be necessary though... that's half the beauty of it. It's so peaceful.
This guy is my hero. Love these vids. I'm a big fan of DIY tech and ingenuity. Built my own pressurized water system once, but here in Canada there isn't much bamboo, so I cheated and used pvc hose. Started with a spring I dug out and boxed it near the top of a hill, then ran hose/pipe down the hill to my camp starting with 2" pipe and reducing it in 1/2" increments down to a 1/2" line at the bottom with enough pressure to squirt it about 15' straight up in the air. Beats the hell out of lugging water in containers.
It's real interesting how you do some of things, BUT realistically for those who didn't realize or those who don't know this bamboo has NODES! In the video it shows him taking fresh cut bamboo and attaching to one another and water aimlessly passing through without issues, the problem is the nodes. It's like passing water through a block, without a hole the water would stop! There's no showing of the nodes being cored out which would allow the water to pass through! It's a REALLY GOOD video, just a lot of missing parts (it might be time consuming and then the video would be days long, but video editing, like time lapse could fix it!). But all in all, very enjoyable to watch! 2 thumbs up!!
You are one industrious fellow. You live a life many of us only dream of, you work hard, but only for your own benefit. With that amount of water, you should build a hydro generator to start producing electricity. That will improve your life a lot in the jungle!
I don't know how many ores of good conducters there are where he is, or Lodestones. The biggest challenge would be making the bearings and battery
He'd need a good magnet too, but at least the bamboo could be used as a light bulb filament
As others have mentioned, the materials for a generator may be hard to find. But a simple waterwheel (maybe pelton turbine) could provide mechanical power for blowing air for a forge, driving a lathe, or some other mechanical tools.
