    That's an amazing car! It's pretty cool to see the leather dashboard with the M-tech upholstery.

    Resurrecting an old video here but I truly enjoyed this. I had a 2001 e39 as my FIRST car(very fortunate at 16) I just wish we could someone or someway to recreate all of the Dinan goodness from that era! Great video great content!

    Nice dude - I also have an S2 in ATL GA - and an F87 Comp... get the Noelle Stage 3 tune when the CS shows up you’ll thank me later... GLWS! Altho I highly recommend keeping this car... if you must sell it I hope it goes to a good home! - join E39 M5 owners group - the guy you bought it from is on there and the future owner likely is too! Nice vid !

    I havent heard a more sweet sounding E39 M5 from the inside , as yours !
    I agree with the difference to Jersey Traffic, i lived there for 3 Years , now back in Germany nit far away from where your car was build 😇
    What are your mods on it exactly again , would be interesting for me to know !
    I think of getting one also !!
    Still got a E34 M5 3.6l and a E34 Alpina B10 3.5 l Naturelly aspirated ❤

    This comment is to do with a previous video you’ve posted and I really wanted to hear your response: Everywhere I have looked the genuine BMW (Anthracite/black) part 82-11-0-029-231- floor mats has the purple color in the middle as your old ones. Also, the back of your old ones look different than genuine, it doesn’t have the light grey color foam that is tend to deteriorate easily with time. Genuine bmw ones also come with the Velcro pads as well. I am very curious Where did you get your new ones? I am as perfectionist as you :)

    Poor guy. I knew as soon as he mentioned 'on-ramp velocity' that this would *only* be happening if he didn't have someone sandbagging in front of him, which is always, more likely than not, going to be the case. If I had a nickel for every time I had to rein it in on the on-ramp b/c of such highway-frightened babies, I'd be a wealthy man. At least you didn't have one in front of you SO highway-frightened than they came to a complete stop on the on-ramp waiting for an engraved invitation to safely merge with those in the 'already-on-the-highway' club. A lot of people really should not be allowed to drive. It's as if they grew up traveling by horse and carriage and still believe that anything over 20 mph isn't safe. SMDH

      Actually looks pretty OK to me. When your wrist is draped over the top of the wheel, you want just a little bend in your elbow. Looks like he has that.

    Sitting absurdly close to steering wheel

    • @BluePurpleRed
      @BluePurpleRed  4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      I disagree, it’s comfortable for me and allows me to rest my wrist on the top of the steering wheel for maximum control.
      *EDIT* Allow me to clarify, it's a test where you extend your wrist to see if it can comfortably rest on the top of the steering wheel without having to roll your shoulder forward from the backrest. By doing so, you've ensured that your elbows can bend at an angle while your hands grasp 9 and 3 on the steering wheel allowing maximum turning of the steering wheel in both directions. I'll do a video on it one day.
      What I am NOT saying is that I drive with my wrist resting on the top of the steering wheel, which, if you watch the video, I never did once. I am sorry for your confusion.

      @@BluePurpleRed for maximum control you shouldn’t ever have to rest your wrist on the steering wheel

      It's a proper seating position and distance where you can rest the wrists on the top of the wheels as proper measurement. You probably have your seat all the way back and drive with one hand at 12 o'clock position. 😂

      @@samsaasen4922 it’s just to test the distance, not literally driving with his wrist on the top. Racing drivers (i.e Misha Charoudin, a legend at The ‘Ring) suggest sitting close like this guy is.
