Return of Hanuman was such a good film, intelligent dialogues and humour, great story and packed with great bollywood parodies which always makes me laugh. Even after growing up I enjoy it the same as I used to in childhood. Dont know why they dont make such films now

Tees Maar Khan rather than Happy New Year for Farah Khan. Because HNY is still bit entertaining, TMK instead is horrible. HNY had some similar traits to OSO, for example Deepika standing behind SRK when he is talking about her, and SRK not realising & both films were based on revenge.

When I first found out Anurag Kashyap is the director of the movie my jaw dropped.
He made RoH bcs his daughter once told him that his movies are always dark, full of violence and not suitable for kids , family so he made this movie.
Honestly for his first animated movie he did a great job. Too bad in Bollywood never good and innovative movie earns well.

Just watched return of Hanuman few weeks ago to relieve the nostalgia and show my little sister that great piece of work and in credits i was really shocked to see Anurag Kashyap being the director , as he has image of making gritty , dark , mature movies and an kids animated movie coming by him caused me react that way ...

Anurag said in an interview that they didn't have time to complete the last part of the film because the producer wanted to release it on a shubhmoharat, so he was frustrated while directing the remaining part.

I gave examples of RRR,KGF bcuz both of these movies are over the top and all 3 movies rrr,kgf and hny were massive hit at box office,so I wanted to convey the point(which I had mentioned in the previous comments) audience (especially indians) like the over the top, heightened emotion movies and movies which are subtle in nature like swadesh,Jhms,tamasha do not get massive B.O numbers and some movies do not even get the appreciation for content, that was the point I wanted to make

and Yes RRR was over for me, audience from America is appreciating that doesn't mean it's not over the top or even a quality movie,they are not any hallmark after all they have made stars wars rise of sky Walker and Jurassic World 3 a hit? So have both these movie become masterpiece then?
What had RRR has to offer?
-2 people becoming friends and then enemy and then friends again,have not not seen this plot?
-The power scaling was so poor that it never felt that Britishers had any real chance against the heroes unlike Bahu vs bhalla,there was never feeling of threat from the villian
-The hero Charan beating 100s(if not 1000s) in the first appearance
-A absurd idea like(in a serious movie) - attacking the palace with wild animals?what the heck is this,if not plain stupidly of the idea itself
-Brits with the a particularly strategy (at the same position on tree ) able to see Ajay Devgn and shot him but not able to see child Charan who shot Brits from the same position as his father,if this is not taking audience iq as granted then what is?
They are multiple such over the top mayhem with lots of coincidences and lazy writing such as the guy is hiding from police but didn't try to inquire the the guy who befriends him is police and before ntr helping Charan to find the guy who ran away not seeing the picture itself
As you have done PhD in cinema plz explain these things which I pointed from RRR and how they are not over or even stupid??
See I don't want anyone to not enjoy RRR even with these absurdities as it is a movie and people have their preference but since you question ppl like hny having bad taste then explain how is RRR not any different masala movie,what new did you see? What cinema gyan you learnt from it?
Just like you you like many aspect of RRR so does other people like some aspects of HNY,like for me all the songs and the silly charcters,the movie does not take it seriously and it hilarious to watch how they accomplish their misson especially their starting selection as team india

Happy new year was really comedy movie and huge hit movie 😍😍
When I first watched happy new year,i liked it , coz during that time it was so hyped,and i remember it had an opening of 48 cr in 2014, although I am great fan of srk ,so at first I liked it,even though I watched it several times,but now i don't feel i would like it anymore,it was just good upto that time only, with passing time,choices, preference changes,so at this moment i would say i don't feel like HNY is that amazing movie but at that time i have liked,but in case of main hoon na,i would still say ,i love that movie,even watching it numerous time ,i feel like i have some childhood nostalgic connection with that movie,as it is a full mass entertainer movie,and om shanti om is also very good and glamourous movie,but after a time their is nothing new left to watch it, although they both were amazing movie and i would still love to watch whenever I feel like,but not HNY anymore
