Hey, not sure where to put this but, I'm the guy making Demon's Souls Expanded and Its so cool you played through it on one of your streams! I watched through the whole thing for feedback and possible issues, and it helped a ton. I'm just one guy doing it for funsies so I don't have the time to test or look over everything. Thanks again for playing through it and sharing. Keep up the good work! :)
Tip for Lifesteal fist: The damage is taken directly from your offhand weapons critical dmg, so increase it by offhanding any weapon with high base dmg.
@@montgomeryfitzpatrick473The misericorde has the highest crit motion value, but I think other weapons with higher AR may sometimes be able to do more crit damage even with a lower motion value, though i'm not sure how the initial comment is meant to be taken so you may be right
@nyambrosial1244 It's build dependant. If I remember right, on a strength build the Executioner's Greataxes does more damage than the Misericorde, and I heard that at very high levels a Giant Crusher gets better damage purely out of the absurd raw AR it has. That said, Misericorde is still either the best or one of the best options for every build, and it's way lighter than pretty much all the others.
Lmao, I remember how Inescapable Frenzy did the same, but they patched it eventually. Funny how you could either do no damage at all, or drain entire healthbar in one cast
Take a shot every time you see 'Isn't that AoW waste on this boss?' Boys, if you are so skilled, do your own optimized AoW all-bosses run and post the video here. I would like to see it.
I'm surprised he didn't do Blaidd's quest to get the cheaper AoW talisman from Iji without having to fight Lorretta. Although I suppose he was gonna have to do Ranni's quest anyways for Adura and the meteor dude.
Mistwood Ruins > Kalé > Blaidd > Darriwil is all that's needed for the talisman to be available at Iji, so it's definitely doable, but considering that he opened the run by saying he was just kind of winging it, I'm less surprised. That's extra info to keep in mind, while having 30 other bosses to kill before being able to access the relevant area. Probably didn't even think about the talisman until Liurnia lol
Drinking game: Take a swig any time chat says "Wasted AoW" Take a swig any time Dist says something along the lines of "This is actually good damage" Take a shot any time chat says "Ash of War: Gravity"
You can look back to DS1 and DS2 for that too. They started as powerful and unique, but durability consuming special heavy attacks. Then they became a more gimmicky move with a dedicated button, basically sharing their space and function with the parry that was already there, and costing FP instead of durability. Then with Sekiro they started to get a bit less gimmicky and turn back into being power moves, even if circumstantial. And finally in Elden Ring they became build defining signature attacks that you often design your whole playstyle around.
Right off the bat, I'm blown away at the fact that there's 31 bosses in Limgrave. Clearly I've missed A LOT of this game. Time to play again, I guess. Oh no, wow is me
Hey, you should do a similar run but you can only use the reward from each dungeon in the next one. This would force you into using all spells, summons, and weapons. It would be interesting what route you would come up with.
About the Horrah Loux Earthshaker I recently found out that the first part procs the multihit talismans before the slam comes out. If you have winged sword insignia, millicent's prosthesis and thorny cracked tear you can get the full 40-50% bonus in just two casts.
Found this out during RL1 Elden Beast. It procs the boost from Millicent's Prosthesis (yes, I'm a terrible person) and it deals a little stance damage.
I think this is a really interesting challenge. I could see this becoming an actual speedrunning category. There are so many different routing options.
im watching this going "what about bhs and qs?" when i really shouldve been asking "what about assassins approach?" shit had me fall out of my chair laughing
I just realized there was a way to make the 2nd Mimic fight faster. If he had duped Seppuku and put it on a second weapon with both in the same hand, any time the mimic decided to switch weapons it would probably rebuff.
With a different weapon in the other hand with war cry ash of war you can switch back to the bloody halice and it switches the ash of war moveset if I remember
5:26 it’s not cheating, it’s called being good at skyrim horsing. Elden ring just made it easier by giving torrent double jump. That skip is still doable even without jumping, it’s just a pain in the rear.
Loved this one, it got me super excited to try some more ashes on my next playthrough when the DLC comes out ! I would have loved a tiny bit more insight during the early game about how you leveled up to used so many different weapons
I watch a streamer who had mastered this game. He has done so many different runs and challenges, even a 165 boss run deathless which is no easy feat. Every time he makes a new character he asks chat to spit out random numbers and whatever attribute in next gets that number. Now it’s a given that the character is going to look a little wonky but for people who are members, leave superchats or belong to the players Patreon to get their panties in a bunch and up their a$$ because a character’s face is fun and unique is completely foreign got me.
Got a quick question to ask you. I've inherited the frenzied flame last night. And just for fun, I've just finished Dung Eater and Fias questlines and got their runes. And I'm going to finish Rannis and the Goldmask questlines in the future. And now the question. Do I still get the frenzied flame ending though I've gotten more ending runes? I'm doing this with my 2nd character and I haven't burned the Erdtree yet. I'm just trying to finish all side quests first.
Yes, you do still become Lord of Frenzied Flame even after collecting the mending runes. If you want to cure yourself of the Frenzied Flame you'd have to do Millicent's quest, beat Malenia, then beat Placidusax.
I don't even have to watch the video to know the answer, (because I did it myself on a randomizer run with a pizza cutter) but I'll watch it regardless

I like this limitation for non-speed runs to make the routing more interesting.
It’s such a damn clever way of keeping things more restricted/challenging but also more creative!
