This is part 2 in a trilogy of music videos (from their debut album) that goes - 'Take On Me' - 'The Sun Always Shines on TV' - 'Train of Thought'. Try 'I've Been Losing You' or 'Manhattan Skyline' from their follow-up album.
A-ha's absolute master piece!!! A-ha make pop music like no other pop-band. Their extreme individuality and strong characters claim so hard for perfection from all sides in everything they do!!! I love that... Greetings from a metal head that is buried in classical and metal music...
They were pioneers in music video art. They got huge in the time when mtv and music clips became a thing and started to develop. They were the first who delivered videos that were artisticly concepted, had a story and inspired many that followed
Although a-ha are seen in the US as one-hit wonders with Take On Me, this song actually made it to a respectable #20 in the Hot 100. In the UK, this song is actually their only #1 single, as Take On Me hit #2 there.
Hi bro‘s..if you want to listen a ballad from a-ha..“Stay On These Roads“ is the absolute Song! And a James Bond opener was „The Living Daylights“..Kicks Ass . Greetz from germany
Fun to see a reaction video where Magne is singled out for his appearance instead of Morten - who was also mentioned. Can one fail to mention Morten? The musical genius Pål as always in the background, where he would rather be. Very good reaction! Next: Manhattan Skyline, Stay on these roads, I've been losing you or perhaps The blood that moves the body?
The music video for "The Sun Always Shines on T.V." was directed by Steve Barron and was shot on location over three days early October 1985 at Udney Hall Gardens and the Victorian Gothic Church of Saint Alban the Martyr, both situated in Teddington, Richmond upon Thames, in England
Aha songs were the first ones I learned on the keyboard when I was a young teen, them and OMD then all through the 80s ,I'm now 53 grew up in the best decade ever 🎸🎹💃❤️
I heard at the time that they were actually not really happy with doing videos (although they were state of the art) because even as Norwegians they were particularly pretty and they wanted to be musicians and not pinup models.
By the way, the beginning of the clip, which happens outside, is a (tragic) conclusion of the legendary "Take On Me" video (in which a comic character emerges into the real world). I've known and loved this song since its release, but only through the internet I was able to see the whole clip including the beginning.
the album title song, "hunting high and low" is magnificent, my most favourite by a-ha. the melancholic but uplifting, soaring emotion omg ❤ please please give it a listen 😊
Off this album (which is a great album) - Train of Thought and the title track (Ballad) Hunting High and Low. A-ha is incredible - extraordinary live performers - you might like their rockier phase... ⚘️🕊
Great song and Band ✨️✨️✨️ I also love Hunting high and low, I've been losing you, The living daylights, Manhattan Skyline ( live at Nrk in 1991), Summer moved on (live at Vallhall),
My fave AHa song which has a dramatic and cinematic feel. If ur going into 80s Britpop, check out Bros’s When Will I Be Famous and IOU Nothing the remix version.
Always liked this song and wished it hit bigger than No. 20 on the US Hot 100. Then a few years ago stumbled across the unplugged version, and have been obsessed with it ever since. th-cam.com/video/n8Vrp2YujOQ/w-d-xo.htmlsi=97GlLRUk5ablBhDP
I bought this 45 when I was 15. Loved this song by them. There is a connection between this song and U2's Beautiful Day. They have even played it at times. th-cam.com/video/EUG8BYooyz4/w-d-xo.html
My favorite A-ha song! Well deserved UK #1. And Morten was such a great singer
My fave too...I can't believe I've somehow never done it at karaoke 🤣

Norway pride!! ❤ The guitarist and keybordist grew up right around the corner from where I live ❤
Oslo or another city ,town?
"Hey Sweden !"
"Not Sweden Mac Norway !"
Lol,lol !
Wow!! Paul Waaktaar-Savoy and Magne Furuholmen are great and talented Artists.

Morten Harkets face! He looks like a roman statue..
Hunting High and Low is a fantastic album. I love A-ha.
the lead singer has a huge vocal range for a guy. Really impressive

My Fav A-ha song, and one of the best of the 80's. and Morten, that voice, and he is just beautiful
True a-ha fans love their lesser known songs. ❤😊
A-ha's absolute master piece!!!
A-ha make pop music like no other pop-band.

Great A-ha. Also silly "Touchy", grand "Sommer Moved On" and "Forever Not Yours". Also "Shapes that go Together".... So much great A-ha
The live version of touchy from live in South America is a pure banger
I always loved this song and always will. A-ha forever.

I've Been Losing You, Manhattan Skyline, Train of Thought and Stay on These Roads are all great. The MTV Unplugged special is also amazing.
Stay on These Roads ❤️ Hunting High and Low, Crying in the Rain, Blood That Moves the Body, Lifelines… should have their own top 5 ❤️
That was special!
The greatest pop group ❤
we all had that cool outfit 🤣I miss the 80s

Besides their respective instruments, Pal, Mags and Morten harmonised so well together. It's that special A-ha sound 🙌🙏

Thank you for a-ha❤❤❤
Best band of my childhood my uncle was obsessed with them
I remember when this was on heavy rotation on MTV. I had a bit of a crush on all three of them. 🥰
Aha songs were the first ones I learned on the keyboard when I was a young teen, them and OMD then all through the 80s ,I'm now 53 grew up in the best decade ever 🎸🎹💃❤️
It was a hit after "Take On Me", maybe not a big hit in USA, but hugh in Europe and Latinamerica.

The complete album version is, obviously, even better.
I totally forgot about this gem. Thank you for the throwback!
