Logically, they should not have talked to him, but wait until morning so that Sonic again became a hedgehog and they could carry out healing.
Likely because Sonic can't even imagine Amy or Sally saying what his perception was telling him they were saying. Not to mention that they weren't trying to fight him, just standing in the way, so he was calming down because he wasn't going to attack first. So once the adrenaline began to pass and his mind put together that something wasn't right, Sonic's perception returned to normal.

Any arguments claiming higher would thus require to explain how a planet can contribute over planet level power to the Chaos Emeralds. And this is supported by Sonic Frontiers, as The End is seen to be a planet destroyer whose power is directly compared to Dark Gaia's.
I really don’t like how the Archie comics aren’t part of the main canon. The inclusion of the lesser characters and adding depth to their backstories. And I love how Mighty has this incredible physical strength. More than anyone in Chaotix with the exception of Knuckles.

Despite meeting each other back in the '60s, before Wolverine, Thor & Hulk were not enemies, just merely Co-Avengers Hell, they barely spoke to each other in the Avengers comics. Hulk's REAL rivalry started in The Incredible Hulk no. 181, also known as Wolverine's first appearance ever. Ever since then, those two are constantly at each other's throats, it's only because of the MCU that people started forgetting it. 😒 History lesson over.

His Light Energy was keeping Sonic's dark power in check because we see in Archie that Sonic was acting like total irrational beast incapable of controlling himself.

This was so well put together WE NEED TO FUND THIS PROJECT SO Sega CAN MAKE IT A REAL THING, audio comic books with voices already dubbed. Obviously full credit to the creators took part in making it come together
