Enjoy your Florida visit! It’s a great state, the last couple of years a slew of families & businesses have decided to relocate there. What brand of cupcake liners are you using? I grabbed parchment paper liners and they do fine but yours seem sturdier. Thanks so much for sharing, Linda!
Thank you! It will be nice to travel somewhere warm in March. I’m visiting my brother who teaches at a university down there. I been several times & look forward to sitting on his lovely deck eating oranges from his yard. 😊 The liners I use I bought on Amazon Canada but I imagine they’re on the American site too. They’re Garneck Wax Melt Warmer Liners - Reusable. They come 50 in a package & are $12.59 Canadian so probably a bit cheaper in the U.S. I reuse the same liners dozens of times so the last for ages. I’ve had my package for well over a year.
I’ve clubbed Cozy Cardigan. I enjoy it by itself but have tried it as a mixer & that’s been great too. I have several bars of Autumn Sunset. I’m not going to club it though- no room 😢
Thanks Charity! I have had those liners for over a year but haven’t used them much. Sometimes if I have house guests I pull them out because it makes for less fuss & muss especially in smaller zones. They’ve been excellent for my kitchen warmers now that I’m experimenting with changing my wax daily. I don’t use them in my living room where I want the warmers to be a decor feature.🤗
I’d never even heard of it before & I’ve been a Scentsy customer forever. It had potential smelled nice cold but was so light warmed. I’d try another one if it came back in BBMB.
I agree with the theory of humidity in the air and performance… I find cozy cardigan performs way better in the summer months… I also agree that sugar cookie raspberry vanilla and vanilla bean buttercream bricks are way lighter than bar form… awesome review Linda
Thank you❣️I’m glad to hear that about Cozy Cardigan! I don’t usually have bars over the summer but I’ve clubbed it this year so I’ll be able to enjoy it throughout. Although we have very low humidity here even in the summer I bet the warm weather will help. I have only ever had Vanilla Bean Buttercream in brick form & I mainly use it as a mixer …on the few occasions I’ve warmed it alone it did not fragrance the space well. The brick of Black Raspberry Vanilla was an absolute dud for me & I haven’t tried it again in the smaller size. I like having the brick size for mixing especially Sugar Cookie but I’ve smelled SC at my daughter’s (reg bar size) & it was much better. So yes you’re right about all three!
Hi Linda! I would agree…., Buckleberry is an “adventure”, and not a good one. Glad you made it through. I’m working on my last Spiced Eggnog brick. It’s so good, and at the time I thought- 2 bricks is plenty🤦🏼♀️. Oh well. Will savor what I have left. Thanks so much for sharing. Those little cups definitely seem worth a try. Take care friend🥰
Thanks Kara 🤗💛 yes I’m done with Buckleberry 👏🏼 Spiced Eggnog is in my club & I think the regular bar size will be ok (if I can keep them in my stash🙄) I love it especially during the holidays. The paper liners work well. I’ve had them for over a year & use them sporadically. I thought they’d be great to experiment with for the daily kitchen warming. So far so good. I might try them camping it would be easier to change the wax in the warmers in my camper.
Hi Linda! You warmed through so many great bakery scents! I’m confused with what Scentsy has been doing with bakery!? Surely they have to know people aren’t happy. Oh well…I guess it’s just wax. Always love hearing your thoughts and spending a few minutes with you! ❤️
Thank you so much Leesa🤗💛 I am not sure why Scentsy is being so stingy with bakery. Look at all the bakery that was voted back in BBMBs. Someone had a theory- I think it was Melissa Haight - that Scentsy wants people to use Scentsy club so doing away with bakery means more people use clubs to park them…who knows 🤷♀️
Hi Linda! I didn't have good luck with Perk Me Up either. I love the scent though. I got another bar in my recent party close out and I am going to try and mix it with Hazelnut Latte which is in my club. I just warmed some more of my Maraschino Sugar Cookie brick and it lasted much longer this time. I could still get hints of it on the third day! Have a great weekend! - Brett
Not to butt in-but Perk Me Up and Hazelnut Latte are DIVINE together. It starts out perfectly balanced, then the coffee scent burns off after a few hours and the sweet milky latte remains. That’s really all the straight-up coffee I want anyway, just the lovely morning hit.
Hi Brett! I actually think some of the LTO bricks do very well. I have a Caramel Chestnut brick & that is a boomer! Perk Me Up did not perform for me. It lasted a few hours at best then disappeared. I have another bar I’ll maybe try it with Hazelnut Latte too. That’s too bad. It must do better for others because it has sold out🤷♀️
I have not experienced poor performing Bricks ~ I usually use as my half price - recently used Johnny Appleseed ~ Squeeze the Day ~ Blueberry Cheesecake ~ Sea Salt & Avocado and a Welcome Home! My next brick to come is Jammy Time!
I haul a lot of bricks as my half price item too Lisa! They’re such a great deal. I’ve had a few that didn’t fragrance well most notably Black Raspberry Vanilla. I use Vanilla Bean Buttercream in brick but I only mix with it. I find that one stronger in the bar size. I always use Welcome Home in brick size & it does well. I’ll be choosing Sea Salt Avocado in March & Coconut Lemongrass in April!
I'm warming Coconut Palm right now. A lot of people seem to like this one but I don't see the hype. It's too light & the little bit of scent I do get from it is just a waxy smell. I much prefer Coconuts For Coconuts. Also warmed through Cucumber & Pear Blossom & Vanilla Cream which were also duds for me. However I really enjoyed Cucumber Lime & Flirtatious. I warmed Flirtatious in my open layout & could still smell it the next day despite leaving my warmers on overnight. I went ahead & poured it all in my daughter's warmer in her room & it went for a week straight! Such a great long lasting powerhouse. I went ahead & took Caramel Vanilla Delight out of my club. It's just not one I reach for much. I agree with you on Perk Me Up. I had high hopes for it bc I love coffee scents but it was rather disappointing 😞
Hi Stacey! I agree - Coconut Palm was rather flat for me too. I have almost a whole bar left. I’ll maybe mix it with Coconut for Coconuts which is a much better performer in my house. Pear Blossom was very light. Neither are repurchases for me. Vanilla Cream is just like Simply Vanilla but a touch sweeter (at least to my nose). I’ve warmed it in my lady parlour & my overnight warmer. It’s just basic vanilla. I have Simply Vanilla in my club but use it up quickly so will supplement it with VC for a little while. I tested one cube of Flirtatious back when I first got the bar. I need to dig it out & try it in my living room area! Maybe it’s something I can warm in the spring summer. I’m so picky with S/S scents maybe this one could be a good one to haul for that. I’d better hurry up though before it sells out!
The bricks I’ve owned have done ok for me, but I don’t keep a ton of them-a couple of holiday scents (and I don’t have comparison bars of those), Blue Grotto (does great), and then Johnny, VBBC, Sugar Cookie, all for mixing. So envious of your clubbed Spiced Eggnog! I had it clubbed but got cocky being SURE it would come back. Sigh. We all have our heartbreaks, right?
Awww Cristin too bad about Spiced Eggnog. I love the bricks for value & VB Buttercream & Sugar Cookie are for mixing for me too. Blue Grotto does very well. I find I don’t reach for my Johnny Appleseed brick much & I probably don’t need it in that size. With my next club it will be Sea Salt & Avocado since I can’t buy it in regular size anymore & for April Coconut Lemongrass which I warm like crazy in summer. Have never used the brick in that scent before 🤞🏻
Yes! Instant coffee is definitely a scent memory along with sun tea of my mom! Before they had programmable coffee pots (the timer setting is a blessing at my home!) and my mom only drank 1 cup a day so it was economical and efficient to make instant. Do they sell instant coffee anymore?! I will have to look the next time I am at the store. Those liners sound like a good idea! Enjoy your Florida trip! Smiles, Abby Smith
I'm not sure if your here in the US or where your from but at least here in the US instant coffee is still available....it's what my in-laws prefer to drink
Thanks Abby❣️that’s lovely that you share that memory. I know Starbucks makes instant coffee. If I go tent camping with my girl gang I will use it. It’s just easier to boil water than perk a pot. It does the trick & wakes me up. It tastes way better than the instant they sold back in the day.
Summer bakery is horrible. I’m hauling some before the catalogue changes to have for customers. Love NHL fresh ice too, glad you think it’s coming back. I hauled 4 bars as well, but I’m not going to add it to my club. Thanks for sharing, really enjoy your videos.
Thank you so much 🤗💛 If Scentsy doesn’t bring back the NHL line I’ll be shocked. I hope I’m right 😳 My club is so full right now with me saving all my favourites I have to gamble on those I think stand a chance to return - NHL, Star Wars, Harry Potter. Summer bakery is horrible- I’ve stocked up too. I’m hearing from others that the new bakery bar in the S/S catalogue Sugar Blossom is not bakery at all it’s more floral 🤷♀️
@@lindah_home_and_scents my 10 new bars arrived today. Sugar blossom is all blossom lol, very floral. It’s all I smell on cold. Mountain Sunset remind me so much of driftwood and Jasmine. I didn’t fall in love with any of them really, maybe after I warm them I will.
I’ve been working on the bricks that I have as bars in my club too (Squeeze the day, MSC, Sea salt & Avocado)…performance on those 3 seem real good in bricks. With Spring bricks on the horizon I need to get to work! The brick stash is a monster haha! Thanks Linda, beautiful melting and mixes. ❤️😘
Thanks Marci 🤗💛 I’m glad to hear that Sea Salt Avocado does well in a brick. I did not club that one & will miss it so a brick is my only option. I might try the summer bricks in bar form first before ordering. I’m determined to limit my bricks to ones I really like & warm often.
So when I warmed vanilla bourbon I found that in the summer, it smelled fantastic…. But in the winter I couldn’t smell it hardly… do you think that’s the same it is for you? I wonder if it’s a weather sensitive bar?
Great theory my friend❣️is it humid in the summer where you live? I’ve read that scents do better with a bit of humidity. Here in my neck of the woods it’s hot & dry. I’ll save my bars though & will try them again in the summer!
Heidi I bought them on Amazon.ca but I imagine they’re available on the U.S. site too. The ones I bought were the Garneck Wax Melt Warmer Liners - Reuseable. There are 50 in a package & they cost $12.59 Canadian so probably cheaper on the American site. They work great & I’ve reused them over & over so they last a good while.
Oh yay! Your changing out your bakery wax once a day! I hope that gives you better performance. I was also thinking what might help too is having your warmers set out in a triangle. I find with my open concept if I set them out like that I get really good performance. Have fun in Florida!!
Thanks Jessica! Actually that tip - changing the wax daily & using fewer cubes has worked out better than expected. So many of the bakery scents are at their best in the first several hours of warming so it’s a perfect solution! I’ll be swapping out my warmers in the next couple of weeks - I’ll try the triangle setup!
Perk me up was a disappointment. Even when i warmed it in my small office i could only smell it for a couple hours and then just fell flat. Yes i think hazelnut latte was better than perk me up
The same thing happened to me Mitzi & I tried it in a couple of spots. Several others have had the same experience. I suppose if you just wanted a coffee scent for a few hours it would do but that isn’t enough for me 🤷♀️
Hope this works ... a.co/d/ed0SWwn …if not it’s the “Garneck 50pcs Wax Melt Warmer Liners” This is from Amazon Canada. The American site might be different. They’re $12.59 Canadian
🙌 They have some cute Wallflower Plugs now! I have lots of guests comment on them. My oils last quite a while. I just swapped out my Balsam Fir oil in both my bathrooms about a week ago. I put them in in December before Christmas. Probably early December so about two months. I’m not sure if heat, humidity or other variables makes a difference. I keep the black lids because once in a blue moon the scent doesn’t jive with my mood (especially if the scent is something I’ve never tried before) & I switch it out. You can just screw the cap back on and keep it for later.
Buckleberry 😝 You tried to give it to your girl gang and no one wanted it! 🤣😂 Oh my gosh that made me laugh out loud! The only really difference I've seen re: bricks/bars is Black Raspberry Vanilla. All of the other bricks seem to perform about the same for me. Enjoy your trip to sunny Florida! 🌞 (and please bring some of that sunshine and warm weather back to Canada with you! 😉) Great empties!
Did you mean BRV is much lighter in brick? I was going to get one so I was wondering. If so I will stick to a few bars. It's a nice scents but mainly use it for stubborn stains and don't melt it often. So a few bars would last it's mainly one or 2 warmers that I have trouble with stubborn staining and that's only thing that does work is a cube of it. I will get a Blueberry cheesecake brick instead next in club.
@@angelasmeltingmoments3334 Hi Angela! Yes, I find Black Raspberry Vanilla lighter in the brick than it is in the bars. You're right, it is great for cleaning out warmer dishes! 😊
@@angelasmeltingmoments3334 I wouldn't say there's a drastic difference, just a little lighter. For example let's say the bar is a 10 the brick is probably more around a 7- 7½
@@BarsBrickswithBrandi thanks so much! I am wondering have you used any of BRV in brick to clean any dishes? I was thinking if it's not as strong maybe it won't clean the dishes as well as the bars. Mainly its my angel wings dish and one orher warmer they get the most stubborn stains and nothing else has ever worked. No alcohol, hand sanitizer, counter clean, and so on just the BRV takes the stains out.
I do love Maraschino Sugar Cookie, but recently tried mixing it with Crumb Top and think I liked it even better! I have rum raisin cookie going now…I’m really loving it! Autumn Sunset is in my club forever. Thank you for sharing, I always enjoy seeing what you are warming.
Thanks Amy! Lots of people are loving Maraschino Sugar Cookie. I did like it mixed with other bakery. I think I’m just not a big fan of cherry. It would be nice if it makes it into the F/W catalogue in September. I would try it again that way I just didn’t want to club it. Autumn Sunset - I really enjoy that scent. I’m conflicted about whether to haul extra or club it 🤷♀️
I also had a fail with Perk Me Up. It didn’t even last a few hours - absolute dud! I feel the same way about Buckleberry. Took everything I had to burn through it.
lol Rene! We both battled with Buckleberry 🤣 Lots of people out there love it - it was voted back - just not a love for our noses. I’ve heard from several others that Perk Me Up did not perform well. It sold out so it is popular🤷♀️
Perk Me Up is a fave / fail for me too 😂it’s not strong enough or long lasting enough for me but I did purchase a few. Not as many as I thought I would. Hazelnut Latte won over Perk Me up because it reminds me of the morning streets of Paris when we were there but it’s also short lived for me. Turns in to a nice vanilla tho and worth the few hours of deliciousness. I still drink instant coffee at work and sometimes on vacation because I literally need coffee to wake up and be functional 😂 Happy to have you in Florida- it’s not that scary- well, it is but people seem to keep coming 😂😂😂😂
lol my friend…we hear too many scary stories up here about the orange state 🤣 I’ll be ok. I’ve visited many times & I’ll be headquartered in Gainesville so it’ll be fine 😉 Besides I want to visit Disney again before they take it over 🤣🤣 🤣 I preferred Hazelnut Latte over Perk Me Up too. It’s nice that you have a Paris memory associated to that scent - makes it extra special. Toasted Acorn & Oak does that for me. It reminds me of the Christmas markets in Berlin. I’m a coffee addict so on occasion I’ll break down and have a cup of Starbucks instant!
I definitely plan on hauling fewer bricks going forward. I have a couple of staples that do well & I will always get those in bricks but I am going to start comparing them …bar vs brick to see how they do. Washer whiffs are a great half price choice. I don’t have an air purifier but I could a fragrance flower or even the Whiff box!
I know! I realized after I finished I forgot to ask the question so I added a comment somewhere ☝🏼up there. I asked what everyone thought of the performance of bricks compared to bars. Did certain bars do better than the bricks in a particular scent? I’m trying to decide if it’s always worth getting the brick.
I wondered if that person from Lisa’s video who said their clothes smell need a clean booster like borax. Sometimes workout clothes need a boost no matter what the detergent… 😅
You’re right it could be! 😆 Lisa had wondered if it was the washer rather than the detergent. Sometimes washers especially front loaders can get a bit janky if they’re not maintained properly. I have a top loader & I run the cleaning cycle on my washer with the Tide Wash Machine cleaner a couple of times a year just to keep things fresh.
I was going to ask a question about bricks at the end of the video but forgot so here goes…” Do bricks perform as well as regular size bars for you? If so which bricks do best in your opinion?”
So far my only brick is Jammy Time and it is the same performance for me. I have heard people have an issue w Black Raspberry Vanilla, which I find light in bar form, so I will have to stick w bars for that one! Have fun in Florida!!🌺
@@BTTF-fb7ozI have a brick of Jammy Time & yes I agree it is the same as the bar for me. I did haul one brick of Black Raspberry Vanilla last year & I could barely smell it. I haven’t tried the bar since. I have heard others say Sugar Cookie did better in bar size. My daughter warms bars in that scent & I feel as though it smells stronger. Might just be in my head. I’ll be interested to hear what everyone says.
Great empties Linda! I love those paper cups for vendor wax since it’s hard to clean out of the warmer but I wonder if the extra layer takes away from the scent. I’ve always liked bricks bc of the flexibility to use more as needed.
Thank you Angie❣️So far I haven’t noticed a lack of performance using the liners but I only use them in my kitchen warmers & occasionally my office. I also have only tried them in 25w white ceramic or warmers like Night Sky that get quite hot. I wouldn’t use them in larger sprawling spaces like my living room. Yes I like using bricks in the scents I use often - bigger bang for your buck. I’m on a quest though to compare them to the regular bar size though to see if the quality is the same. I have some favourite summer scents in bricks I’ll start with those.
Thanks so much for sharing Linda.
Thanks Susan 🤗💛

Vanilla Bourbon is so frustrating!! It’s so nice -when u can smell it…!!! I love Pink Sunshine, it is so much like Apple Press: which I love too!
Yes Pink Sunshine seems to be a favourite for a lot of folks. I’m definitely in the minority. Not bad just not great for me.

I’ll be swapping out my warmers in the next couple of weeks - I’ll try the triangle setup!
@@lindah_home_and_scents perfect! So glad it worked out for you 😊
Awesome empties, Linda! Love all those empty bricks! 🥳
Thank you Anna 🤗💛 Yes I’m on a mission to use them up!
I suppose if you just wanted a coffee scent for a few hours it would do but that isn’t enough for me 🤷♀️
I have liners too and they r awesome
Yes! I’m loving them for my new kitchen routine & I put them in the warmers in my lady-parlour today to try them there!
Great idea with the coffee scents! Could you provide the link for those paper liners - they look awesome!
Hope this works ... a.co/d/ed0SWwn
…if not it’s the “Garneck 50pcs Wax Melt Warmer Liners” This is from Amazon Canada. The American site might be different. They’re $12.59 Canadian
Linda, I just bought a wallflower today for the first time 🙌. How long does one of the refills last you?
@@BarsBrickswithBrandi is it much lighter? Or just some a brick is a better deal but not if it's too light.
I find that bricks do not perform as well as the regular size bars.
I get washer whiffs or purifier filter for my half off in my club because of it
I definitely plan on hauling fewer bricks going forward. I have a couple of staples that do well & I will always get those in bricks but I am going to start comparing them …bar vs brick to see how they do. Washer whiffs are a great half price choice. I don’t have an air purifier but I could a fragrance flower or even the Whiff box!
Wait….. you didn’t explain what you wanted about bricks 😞
I’ll be interested to hear what everyone says.
lol the compost comment 🤣
Lisa …I laughed when my husband said it. Hope I didn’t offend any Green Tea Smoothie lovers 🤦🏼♀️🫢
Yay! I got the 1st thumbs up... LOL 😂
Yay! 🙌
