But for songs like this people will come back in 10, 20, 50 years. it's never out of style. And You deserved all the awards, no one is innovative in the way that you are, still being filled with emotions. I know it's not why you do this, but still, it's always nice to be appreciated. Whenever you have doubts think about one of the most talented and underappreciated actress known, Judy Garland. I know everytime I listen to this song I do and then think of how you remind me of her. Now, 65 years later, we know that she deserved an Oscar for her star is born performance. But just like with you, everyone else thought that she was such a sure thing, they don't need to vote for her, for sure others will. You are too good. People think that it's so obvious you will win in everything you are nominated to that they vote for "underdogs" and newcomers. And year after year other people are standing on those stages. Do you know that I can't listen to Spirit and Bigger without tearing up? It's going straight to my soul and I can't contain it. It's beautiful. So what it has 11m views. This song makes me reflect on the recent uprise in unrest in the global sociopolitical atmosphere, how much I'm deeply and insidiously terrified by the idea that anything, especially nowadays, can go wrong in the next few seconds, minutes, days, weeks, months or years that'll lead to the destruction of the world as we know it. I love my mother. I love my older brother. I love my friends. I cannot begin to comprehend the idea that any day soon I could lose them all. They keep me alive, keep me going. But the world is spiralling downwards into civil wars and acts of morbid violence; school shootings, bombings, terrorist attacks, the resurgence of violent supremest groups, the threat of nuclear or missile warfare, etc. I pray to whatever higher being, whether that be a god or merely the stars, that I will at least be able to spend enough time with my loved ones to trust that they know, without uncertainty, that I love them beyond any forms of language or gesture I could try. And if our world ends, I know I'll see them on the other side.
