First game to make me think I need an upgrade...Probably gonna sell my 3070 now before the 5 series drops.
Wait for the 5000 series the prices will drop
3070 good for Fortnite tho
but fortnite is mostly a cpu game, the 3070 is way enough. what's your cpu ? but if you wish to play on epic mode + lumen + rtx then yeah, i understand you
@@dnk1312 me whos playing on rx 480 4gb 8gb ram 500gb hard and i 5 2nd gen
I do find my pc to lack with the 3070 and 3700x. I have researched different newer CPU options paired with the 3070, and 3300 series, followed by 3600 and 3700x were the lowest performers across the board. I plan to upgrade to an AMD Ryzen 5800x.
5:10 heh, I have about the same fps on my laptop 3070 ti(has desktop 3070 specs). this game is super demanding considering how low the detail of it is.
i miss the red eye
There are 1000ds of TH-cam Videos on fortnite to test performance on difference PC/laptop configurations on different settings. But NOBODY, not even you, know how to test it properly
TAA + all off/low except Epic view and High/Epic textures
EVERYTHING LOW/OFF + EPIC VIEW AND HIGH/EPIC TEXTURES, DAMMIT
This is an all settings test. I test all of the presets, and my “competitive settings” that I use in game
Bruh help I have 3070 oc and Fortnite runs on 1-10 fps with recommended settings help pls
what cpu
Does anyone know why when I turn on dx12 I stutter like crazy i also have a 3070 with a 5600x
Make sure you have dx12 shaders installed
This felt surprisingly weak for a 3070
When Fortnite introduced Ray Tracing, they had it as it's own setting. They have since integrated RT into the fortnite settings themselves. Before RT was introduced and combined into the normal settings (for capable machines) I was able to get 144+ FPS on Epic settings. I still am able to do this if I turn Global Illumination, Nanite Geometry, etc off.
Also when fortnite introduced RTX they had DLSS. They no longer have this and use TSR. Autoset sets it to EPIC TSR which helps, however for the rest of the test I tested with hardware capability and no handicap such as TSR, DLSS, etc.
Ikr, I watched a 3060 ti vid and with low settings 400 fps was the average
@@megayeiit was probably on low performance setting in fortnite, he was on Direct X 12 in the video, he probably would’ve gotten way more fps if it set it on low mode.
This in fact is the case. I average around 280-450fps in performance mode depending on the settings and mesh quality.
your bad
You’re worse
@@BGDave was waiting for u to put on performance mode 💀
bro how is yours so stable?? I have a 3070 8gbvram, intel core i7-11700f 8 core 2.50ghz and 32gb ram. I get so much stuttering and sometimes load times are very slow. My ssd is a samsung 990 pro.
i got a like but no reply :(
you should always set render resolution to 100%, otherwise that's not a 1080p
nice video man ,and btw I have gigabyte eagle rtx 3070 and my gpu's temp would reach up to 83-80 degrees on ultra settings and I was worried about my gpu fans , is 80 degrees safe for rtx 3070 ?
I’d say that’s a bit warm for a desktop card. Especially a board partner card. I don’t think it is harmful, but I would monitor the temps so that you see anything that might be harmful to the card. If temps continue to rise, you might consider re-pasting the GPU, and if that doesn’t solve the issue you might have to have it professionally serviced, or look into getting a new card.
@@BGDave thanks for your answer , I've capped my fps to my monitors refresh rate which is 60hz right now and I'm using msi afterburner's temprature limit , my gpu temps are not so bad but sometimes it's higher than what it should be
@@trashcan493That sounds like a great solution! I would recommend always capping to your monitors refresh rate, or 1 step above it. Running unlimited FPS causes more power draw and heat than is necessary to deliver the same experience.
Gigabyte cards are not good, they have issues, my cousin had got one recently and it got up to 80c+ on stress test instantly, so he gave the card back and got a new one from asus and it was only 50 degree when stress testing. Would not recommend gigabyte card. I got the EVGA rtx 3070 and on Fortnite I get like 70c max on epic settings with rt on.
@@qwild Unfortunately I can't change my GPU to another 3070 like an asus one , and the temp issue is such a big problem for me because I have to limit my fps and lower some graphical settings to get lower temps
Also fun fact did you know almost only people who plan to build themselves a pc watch performance test videos of specific GPUs?
@@FruTeXx121 yes but im a broke ahh teenager and can’t afford 30 different gpus 😭
So low fps something wrong with your card . Im running 1440p high settings and get over 200fps solid . Performance 450 plus
let’s gooooo
GAY
but what about your moniter? how much hz does i have??
I have many statters per second on my 3070 in fortnite, its like 50fps in epic with rtx, or the high, i have 100fps and freezes in fli its 2fps, or statters, idk, help
Try turning on Resizable Bar
Wich exact 3070 is it?
@@FruTeXx121 founders edition
@@BGDave I e got the asus strix oc one but I think founders looks cleaner
just a question why are you playing in 1080 p when you should be in 1440 .... would like to see it in 1440 your not utilizing your card
Because I choose to play 1080p 240hz over 1440p 144hz. And before you say just buy a 1440p 240hz, those are double the price of 1080p 240hz. I’m 16 and have a vehicle to take care of as well. All I have is a 3070, you want to stab at people for being on 1080p? Go to people with 3090s, 4090s, etc.
no stabbing here bud all im saying is if you look up a 3070 it should be on 1440 is what is recomended why would you not run a 20 series card is all im saying a 3070 is for 1440 not judging you just letting you know no hard fillings
@@BGDave
@@gossom875I’m also running a 3070. Only use 1080p at 144hz. I got the 3070 for the performance it will give me at 1080p. Games are getting more intensive and increasing the resolution just gives you less vram to use for higher graphical settings. Fortnite I play competitive DX12 no VSync, every other game I play I run at max settings. RDR2 I even run at 5/4 resolution scale because the card has the headroom at 1080p and TAA and upscalers are shit in that game with all the fur and foliage
Do you think you could stream while playing Fortnite just wondering
On high settings
Easily. Depending on if you use new high settings with nanite and all that jazz, you could see fairly bad performance, but if you use “old” high settings (Epic View Distance, High Shadows, High Anti Aliasing, Epic Textures, High Effects, and High Post Processing), the game will still look very good, and will perform a lot better.
are you using a liquid cooler for cpu?
I’m using the stock wraith prism cooler for my 3700x.
@@BGDave I have an intel i7 11700f with a cooler master 240mm aio and I get 68-73 degrees in dx12 medium settings in fortnite with fps capped to 260 do you think it is normal? in any other game I get like 55-67
What CPU do you have
he said at the start of the vid
Case?
Cooler Master MB311L ARGB
does nvidia reflex low latency increase or decrease fps?
Overall I find it to increase fps. I am not sure exactly what it does, but I think it helps allocate the GPU's resources to the game.
@@BGDave nvidia low latency function is to, instead of the gpu buffer ( receiving frames from the cpu to display ) having a buffer ( more then 1 frame in the buffer ) it instantly shows the frames the cpu send, without nvidia low latency there may be 3 frames ( for example ) at a time in the gpu buffer, low latency allows the gpu buffer to be empty at all times and as it says, lower latency
@@AaronLabdak thank you for the insight!
mines gave me 800+ uh.....
Are you running performance mode?
what specs do u have if you dont mind. i want to buy ryzen 7 7800x3D and 3070 or 3060ti, but dont want to get bottleneck.
@@patrik5546 ryzen 5 5600x would be a great option
@@patrik5546 buy a cheap 15 12400F. no 12gen+ intel cpu can bottleneck a 30 series
@@vaysili2512 no, I mean if the 3070 is enough for ryzen 7 7800x3d when I play only Fortnite on performance mode or valorant
I have a 4070 with i7 13700 k I play on dx12 I believe my specs are really good so no reason to play on performance
How many frames do you get
You play on performance for advantage
@@Rabbit_lol.performance mode is mostly just a frame advantage. From what I’ve seen and tested, DX12 comp settings lower my FPS by like 100-150 with the same 2-3 ms frame time, but also has a lower input latency which is more important imo since I can only use 144fps.
@@farquadthelord5418 not frame alone it's also an advantage like bushes no shadows
This is true, although performance mode will significantly lower the input lag you feel. If you aren't a more competitive player, I do not think it would make a difference.
i have a rtx 3070 i7 9700k and cant get stable 240 in game on performance mode .
Your cpu is at fault. I have a Ryzen 3700x, and I’ve got the same thing going on. Try upgrading to 10th or 11th gen Intel. I’m going to upgrade to a 5800x and that should fix my issues.
How do you get no tearing?
